Tossing Salt Presents:
Tough Enough, Beth Phoenix, Lana & More
March 15, 2019
No time for love. It’s Q&A time, wrestling style. The questions are from Jesse. Let’s do this…
Should WWE bring back Tough Enough?
WWE has recently made moves to update the copyrights for “Tough Enough” in regards to reality TV and a wrestling series so of course, that leads to speculation that “Tough Enough” may return. With all of the top Indy talent in NXT and already working at the Performance Center, more rookies and trainees probably isn’t what the WWE really needs, but then again, some of the best talent on the roster (Miz) came from Tough Enough so should they bring it back? It’s reality TV and would make the WWE money, give them more TV exposure and possibly find some new superstars for the future. If they want to do it, then do it.
Should Kurt Angle’s final opponent be John Cena?
Considering Cena’s first major match in WWE was against Angle and then Cena went on to become the biggest WWE star of the past 15 years, it almosr seems fitting that Angle and Cena could work together and come full circle. It’s a nice piece of nostalgia and history wrapped up and it frees up the current roster from other things than being fed to the Cena Nation’s ego.
Thoughts on Beth Phoenix returning to action in WWE?
I was always a big fan of Beth and she looks great so why not. Works for me and I’m glad to see her back.
Is Kofimania running wild across the nation?
And it’s riding on the back of a Unicorn and eating Booty-O’s. Yes, Kofimania is the hottest thing going today!
Thoughts of Lana making a video and challenging Asuka to a title match at Wrestlemania?
She may as well be the challenger. No one else has really stepped up and Asuka is the forgotten champion in WWE. She deserves better than to keep being overshadowed by Ronda, Becky and Charlotte and while Lana is not the opponent I would have chosen, if she can just put together a strong match and look good against The Empress, it would be a fresh match and probably fun to watch.
An upcoming Impact Wrestling event has Tessa Blanchard scheduled to wrestle Joey Ryan in an intergender match. Thoughts about this match.
While I like Joey Ryan and the whole power of the penis gimmick, why is Tessa the one fighting him? She’s a third generation superstar and future WWE superstar, but doing things like this do not help her image at all. But then again, it’s 2019 and she’s currently working for Impact Wrestling? Who is going to notice or remember a week after the match? So long as they have fun and put on an entertaining match, it’s not a big deal. It’s wrestling and crazy shit is what we do sometimes.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any thoughts, comments or questions, drop me a line. Until the next time, take care and I’ll catch you on the flip side.
