It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

What if instead of the Men’s War Games of TNA versus WWE, what about a Women’s War Games match with the best of WWE women versus TNA Knockouts? Would that work, and who would you pick for the teams?

A match between the women of TNA and the WWE could be an awesome thing. Inside the War Games cage would be even better. My two teams would be, barring energy, The TNA Knockouts Team, led by Jordynne Grace, consisting of Mickie James, Havok, Gisele Shaw, and coming out of retirement for one match, Gail Kim. As for the WWE, let’s go with Bayley, Roxanne Perez, Shayna Baszler, Naomi, and Charlotte Flair.

Your three main event matches for an impossible (maybe) “Survivor Series: Forbidden Door” PPV between WWE and AEW?

For the Survivor Series between AEW and WWE, I’d start with a War Games match between Team WWE: Seth Rollins, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, The Miz & R-Truth versus Team AEW: Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Chris Jericho, and Sammy Guevera. The New Elite (The Young Bucks & Jack Perry) versus CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Gunther. And Timeless Toni Storm versus Rhea Ripley.

How do you feel about Chris Jericho acknowledging so much of his online criticism on TV?

Better to address it and try to win over the haters than to ignore it and be oblivious. I have no complaints about it.

With Penta’s contract at AEW coming up, is he in a position where the flexibility of working for AEW is a bigger factor than taking a chance on WWE with less control?

I would think so, yes. I think Penta will end up remaining with AEW.

What will it take for Tony to relinquish booking for any AEW TV show?

Either a nervous breakdown and medical issues so that he doesn’t have a choice or else his father stepping in and threatening to cut off the money unless changes are made. Tony will never give up the book willingly.

What would you do to spice up the AEW tag team division?

Build more regular tag teams, build the division up competitive champions and challengers, take the belts away from the Elite and put them on a different team that draws ratings and fans, and maybe have the champions, not the Elite, have a regular open challenge to defend the belts regularly.

Agree or disagree. WWE Raw on Netflix should be two hours.

I’ll agree with this. Three hours is rough, no matter how good the wrestling and wrestlers are. Since Netflix will have more flexibility with the time, maybe 2 1/2 hours to start and then work it from there with more or less as needed each week.

At TNA Against All Odds PPV, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace is having an Open Challenge. Which WWE/NXT star do you think will answer the call?

As it stands now, it looks like Ash by Elegance will be the one to come after Grace, but I’d like to see either Natalya or Chelsea Green step in and come after the Knockout’s Championship.

Shinsuke Nakamura now has 1 win and 39 losses in 2024. He has a win percentage of 2.5%. What did they do to him?

It’s WWE and allegedly wins and losses don’t matter. All it will take for Shinsuke to be a top guy again is an appearance on TV and a strong promo or move that makes an impact where people take notice. Most of the losses were on house shows against Seth Rollins earlier in the year before Seth went out with his injuries so they don’t count. It’s not a big deal.

Joe Rogan was quoted as saying, “CM Punk doesn’t have any talent!”. Thoughts?

I think millions of fans of pro wrestling would disagree. Punk is a talented wrestler, a very good talker, and a great instigator. He has nothing to prove to Rogan or anyone else.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. Take care and be good, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
