Opposing Views

So are you ready to get political? No, don’t worry. I’m not going to talk about the craziness going on here in Scotland County, aka Laurinburg, NC, where our City Council is trying to build a $14,000.000 new City Hall that no one in the city wants and would be a major waste of taxpayers money. I won’t sit here and talk about the blatant disregard for the people they’re supposed to represent and how every single person on the Laurinburg City Council needs to be replaced and never allowed to hold public office again. I wish I could talk about that, but they don’t listen or care anyhow what we, the people of Laurinburg, the people who they’re supposed to represent, think. I’ll just stick with the national political scene instead.

And that leads me to the site, “Opposing Views”, a political website that I follow on Facebook, and what they have to say. They claim to have no agenda. I claim that they do. And it’s definitely not a pro-Trump or pro-conservative agenda. Not even close. But along with that agenda, they also have some great questions to ask their readers. Those questions, I’ve copied here and I’m going to do my best to answer them, honestly and to the point. I don’t care about right, wrong or political correctness. I’m just telling it like it is and the way it should be. If you don’t agree, let me know. Comments and thoughts are welcome. But regardless, I’m still right. Let’s do this…

Agree or disagree: Hillary Clinton and Loretta Lynch need to be investigated for Clinton’s emails scandal.

Investigate why Lynch and Bill Clinton met in secret while Hillary was under investigation. Investigate why Hillary lied repeatedly to Congress. Investigate why Hillary and her people bleached her computer sever and destroyed government issued phones with hammers. Investigate how classified material was shared with people who didn’t have security clearance. Investigate what happened to all the money that the Clinton Foundation raised for earthquake victims in Haiti that was never given to the people. Investigate, charge and prosecute these two. The sooner, the better.

Simple question: Is Donald Trump doing a good job as president?

And simple answer is yes. Just ask the people in Texas suffering from Harvey. They’ll tell you.

Rioters who destroy property should be forced to pay for the damages. Agree or disagree?

Agree. If you destroy something that belongs to someone else and isn’t yours, then it’s your responsibility to pay for and replace the damaged item or else get locked up and go to prison.

Agree or disagree: The winner of the popular vote should be president.

Disagree. If that was the case, then New York and California would be the only states that matter and the rest of the country would be ignored and have no say in the election of our leader. The Founding Fathers realized this and that’s why they created the Electoral College. It’s the way that we elect our leaders for a reason and it’s the right and best way to continue to elect our President. This way, everyone has some sort of say in the matter and not just two states.

The latest polling from Gallup finds that Trump is the least -liked president in history at this point in a first term.
Yes or no: Is Trump a bad president?

Trump doesn’t have to be popular to be effective and a good President. He’s doing what our country needs, not what it wants and we should be thankful for it. We will be better off in the long term as a result of Trump and his presidency. It’s just bad that the media and the brainwashed sheeple can’t see this and want to hate Trump instead of opening their eyes and thinking about our country instead.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, fresh off his presidential pardon, is now thinking about running for senate in 2018. Would you vote for him?

Nope, but that’s only because I don’t live in Arizona. If he was running in North Carolina, I think I would be finding myself wearing a “Arpaio For Senate” button. He would definitely be better than John McCain.

Al Sharpton says no tax dollars should be used to restore the Jefferson Memorial since Thomas Jefferson was a slave-owning racist. Your response?

Al Sharpton has no credibility when it comes to anything having to do with taxes (since he doesn’t pay his) or racism (since he’s one of the biggest racists in our nation’s history). Jefferson may have owned slaves, but it was a different world and culture back then and today’s standards can not be applied to over two hundred years ago. And don’t forget, Jefferson also wrote the “Declaration of Independence” and for that alone, he deserves to be honored.

Do you think Hillary needs to be charged and prosecuted for storing classified information on her personal server?

Send her to jail. Lock her butt up. ‘Nuff said!

“Democrats would rather see this country fail than see my father succeed.” – Eric Trump
Do you think he’s right?

And the sad thing is, he’s 100% correct. Democrats have forgotten all about representing the people and doing their parts to improve our nation and make things better for everyone. It’s all about “get Trump” and they don’t care who gets hurt in the process. They are so consumed by their hatred of Trump and desires to bring him down and make him fail that absolutely nothing else matters. Very sad!

And that’s all of that for now. Time to go watch “Once Upon A Time” over at Netflix. Mr. Gold is cool! Thank you for reading. Comments and thoughts are, as I said earlier, welcome and appreciated. Let me know what you think. And until the next time, I’m out of here. Take care and I’ll catch you later.

Facebook Q&A – August 30, 2017

Tossing Salt Presents:
Facebook Q&A
August 30, 2017
DougMaynard.com

One of the great things about social media is that people have no concept of “TMI” and will ask a person anything. And luckily for me, I have no shame and will answer any question I’m asked. These questions come from my Facebook timeline from the past few days. We have a few doozies here. Let’s do this…

So…milk is good for about 2 weeks…how come then it’s possible for Ice Cream to be good for over a year?

Chemicals, chemicals and more chemicals. But it doesn’t matter. Forget about the dates. Does ice cream ever last in your house for over a year? Ours neither. So what does it matter when it “expires”. Just eat it and be happy. Ice cream is our friend. Enjoy and quit worrying about the artificial stuff and chemicals involved.

Name a song with a city in the title.

“Please Come To Boston”, by David Allen Coe, “Lukenbach, Texas”, by Willie and Waylon and “Jackson”, by Johnny and June Carter Cash.

Had this weird topic pop up at work.. so i am gonna throw it out there. whats the difference between white trash and redneck?

White trash is just what it says. A white person with no sense of responsibility, who doesn’t care about themselves or anyone else, who is dependent upon others and thinks the world owes them everything, a low-life piece of skum that just happens to be white. And a redneck is someone who is as real as it gets, appreciates the wild side of life, is true to themselves, their family and their lives and while they may not be rich or refined or cultured, they’re here and they’re the best kind of people around. White trash is the white equivilent of the “N” word, a caucasian that is a waste of space and humanity. A “redneck” doesn’t refer to skin color, sexual orientation, religion or economic status. It’s a way of life that you either get or you don’t and it’s a great place to be.

Who would be on your Mount Rushmore of Rock & Roll? Of Country music? Of Pop music?

For Rock & Roll, I’d have Alice Cooper, Elvis, The Beatles and Mick Jagger. For country music, I’d go with Waylon, Willie, George Jones and Dolly Parton. And for pop music, I’d put Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna and Weird Al.

What is your biggest regret?

In my life, I have had many regrets and lost opportunities, but the biggest regret that I have, that still bothers me to this day and leaves me wondering “What if?”, is that I never had any children and never had the chance to be a father. That is something that I will always regret.

If you could have dinner with two historical figures and moderate a discussion between the two, who would your guests be?

Well, how about Hitler and Franklin D. Roosevelt. That would be a good one. Or maybe Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama so Barack can realize how much he twisted and perverted King’s dream. And how about a conversation between Robert E. Lee and General Ulysses S. Grant, the leaders of the Confederate and Union Armies during the Civil War. That would be amazing to listen to.

If you had the opportunity to record an album of ten songs, what songs would you pick to sing?

Just off the top of my head, the songs I would pick would be, “Numbers” by Bobby Bare, “Under My Skin” by Frank Sinatra, “No Tricks” by Alice Cooper, “Fool On The Hill” by the Beatles, “Handle Me With Care” by the Traveling Wilburys, “No Time For Tears” by Alice Cooper, “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” by Pops & Mavis Staples, “Proud Mary” by CCR, “”Big Gay Heart” by the Lemonheads and finally “Rock & Roll Suicide” by David Bowie.

Are you real?

If you touch me, do I not feel? If you cut me, do I not bleed? If you cut me off in traffic, do I not call you a stupid idiot and put you on “the list”? Yeppers, my friends, I’m as real as it gets. What you see is me, me and me, pure, raw and uncensored.

If you were scheduled to die tomorrow, what would be your last meal?

Hard to say because I have strange food tastes, but I doubt it would be anything crazy. Probably just something from the Chinese Buffet with an extra eggroll for good measure.

What is your strangest habit?

This isn’t my strangest habit, but it’s pretty weird. I’ve noticed that, ever since I started working at the ABC store, now when I watch TV or watch a movie and someone is drinking, I’m more concerned usually with what kind of liquor the character is drinking than anything else and do we carry it at our store. Forget the plots and story lines and all of that stuff. Just let me see what kind of booze that the characters are drinking and I’m happy.

If you could bring back any television show from your childhood, what would it be?

From Saturday morning television, the Shazam / Isis Power Hour. It was the adventures of Captain Marvel, aka “Shazam” and the Egyptian goddess, Isis, in the form of mortal Andrea Thomas, split into two 30-minutes show each week. It was kind of lame to be honest at the time, but with the current popularity of super-hero shows now and the better TV production and special effects, these shows could be brought back and be awesome. I’d love to see some TV executive realize this and try to do exactly that. It could be some really good TV.

I think it’s time to head out now and give ya’ll a break and call it a night. I’ll be back later. My thanks for reading all of this. Thoughts and comments are welcome. Until the next time, have a great one. Take care.

Wrestling Q&A – August 29, 2017

Tossing Salt Presents:
Wrestling Q&A
August 29, 2017
DougMaynard.com

Are you ready to talk some of the world’s greatest sport? Of course you are. I have a few questions that I came across on my Facebook page, as well as a couple that were sent to me via my IM. And now that you fine folks provided the questions, it’s my turn to provide the answers. Let’s get busy, shall we?

Name some tag teams you would go to a indie show to meet… former wwe tna or maybe a high scale indie team (hint they can’t be under contract).

There aren’t too many wrestlers left from what I consider the “glory days”, the nineties, out there still performing that I’d like to see and meet that I haven’t already had the chance to talk to or meet yet, but there is one that comes to mind. They don’t team anymore, but both men still perform and are among my favorites, both on a personal and an in-ring basis. I’m talking about Lenny Lane and Lodi, aka “The West Hollywood Blondes”. I would definitely leave the comfort of the Salt Palace and travel to a live event to see these two men perform.

Does anyone feel that the raw women’s title is just a hot potato? Am I alone in thinking this?

Ever since Charlotte left to go to Smackdown Live, it really doesn’t seem like the RAW title gets as much notice as the Smackdown title, but I wouldn’t call it a hot potato. It went from Bayley to Alexa to Sasha and then back to Alexa who seems to have a pretty firm hold on the belt. Bayley was injured so a title change was necessary and Sasha seems to be given the gimmick that she can win belts, but not defend it. The title changes make sense so far.

What are some slight gimmick changes that you would like to see?

I’d like to see Zack Ryder quit being a goof and get a mean streak (and a push). I’d like to see Tamina get some respect. I’d like to see Daniel Bryan be allowed to get “one more match”. And I’d like to see John Cena do the heel turn and become more real / legit, like Hogan did when he went from “Hulk” to “Hollywood” in the nWo.

Who do you think TNA dropped the ball with the most?

There are so many choices to pick from. TNA has made more bad choices than good ones. I’ll go with the Hardys just because they’re the most recent example of being total idiots and the bad choice that is most fresh in my mind. TNA needs to be DELETED! Also, F*CK the OWL!

Will Ric Flair ever be back in a WWE ring?

We’ll never see Ric take a bump again or bleed, sweat and pay the price, but we don’t need to. As soon as he’s able, Flair will be back in WWE, popping up occasionally and showing the entire world why diamonds are forever and so is the “Nature Boy!”.

Will Hulk Hogan ever return to the WWE?

Look at what I said about Flair and it’s the same here. It’s not “If”, but just a matter of “when”, brother. Count on it.

Do you think Jinder will still be WWE Champion at Wrestlemania?

I doubt it, but I would love to see it happen. Jinder is doing a great job so far as the WWE Champion, in my opinion, and I’d love to see his run as the champ last at least until Wrestlemania if not longer.

Would you like to see the return of the “Gimmick Battle Royal” at Wrestlemania?

The last time this happened was at Wrestlemania XVII and it was fun to watch. It’s been fifteen years so what the hell. Give the “Legends” a payday and let them perform. I’d love to see it.

Should the women of the WWE have their own show on the Network?

Their own show, No. They get plenty of airtime on RAW and Smackdown Live and another show to fill would amount to overkill and too much in my opinion. I would though, have maybe two specials on the WWE Network, just like the NXT Takeover shows and have them featuring the women of Raw, Smackdown and NXT. This owuld give the women another chance to show their stuff and highlight the Women’s Division without too much over-exposure.

What are the chances of Ronda Rousey signing on with WWE full time either this year or in 2018?

Full time is not going to happen. But I could see her doing a Brock type of deal with a limited number of appearances and maybe one or two matches a year. Full time on the road is too much to expect from Ronda, but maybe a match at Wrestlemania (teaming with Rock against Steph and HHH or in a singles match with Steph) wouldn’t be out of the question. And Ronda versus Asuka? I know I’m not the only one who wants to see that happen.

And I guess that’s it with the wrestling questions. I was just getting warmed up too. Oh well! *sighs* Thank you for reading. Questions, comments and any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take it light. See ya!

Wrestling Fact or Fiction: August 27, 2017

Tossing Salt Presents:
Wrestling Fact or Fiction
August 27, 2017
DougMaynard.com

Are you ready to talk some wrestling? It’s time to go to the mountain and do that “Fact or Fiction” thing, wrestling style. This comes from my friends over at 411mania.com/wrestling. And the rest comes from me. Let’s grab that brass ring and do the deed.

1. Braun Strowman should defeat Brock Lesnar at No Mercy.

FACT: I’m still not sure if Braun is ready to be the top guy for the RAW brand, but what the hell. He’s been built into a monster and is a great example of WWE Creative getting it right for a change. And it would be interesting to see Brock in the role of the hunter instead of the hunted for a change. If they switch the title and Braun shows that he’s ready and can handle it, so be it and if it’s too much for the big man, then simply have him drop the belt back to Brock in a few months and still have Brock as champ when Wrestlemania comes around. Nothing ventured and nothing gained and Braun has earned the opportunity to carry the ball for a while.

2. Considering his push wasn’t lighting the world on fire, Big Cass’ injury may be a blessing in disguise.

FACT: It gives Cass and WWE a chance to step back and hit the restart button on the entire angle. While I hate to see anyone get hurt, Cass just wasn’t hitting it yet and was quickly losing any momentum he had going. Now he’ll have a brand new start and beginning. He’s got the skills and the potential and now he’ll have a chance to show it and get it right.

3. Takeover Brooklyn was a better show than Summerslam.

FACT: Summerslam was not a bad show by any means, but it’s just too long and all over the place. NXT Takeover was more steamlined, focused and had that great match with Asuka versus Ember Moon as a focus. Less was more and while Summerslam had more matches, none of which were actually bad, every match on the NXT was good to great and did I mention already that it was only a couple of hours as opposed to the six hours, including the Kickoff show, that was the WWE’s big show effort. Less is more and NXT knows what to do with that limited time more than WWE knows what to do with the extra couple of hours. It’s just that simple.

4. You’re more excited for John Cena vs. Samoa Joe than John Cena vs. Roman Reigns.

FACT: Cena versus Roman has a been there / done that feeling and I’m honestly burned out on both Cena and Reigns at this point where I see them on the card and just go “Eh!”. They have good matches and deliver, but still, who cares. Samoa Joe is still relatively new to the main event scene in WWE and the matches still have a freshness and new quality to them.More Joe and less Roman or Cena and I’ll be quite content.

5. Jinder Mahal’s in ring performance as WWE champion has simply been bad.

FICTION: I think Jinder has done well since becoming the WWE Champion. His matches are not five-star classics as of yet, but he’s getting better and better and stronger in that ring each and every week. He’s growing into his role as the WWE Champion and is definitely on the rise. The bad things about his matches, such as the over-reliance of his flunkies, etc, can be more attributed to the way WWE has booked him rather than anything that Jinder is doing wrong. Fight Randy Orton, but can’t let Orton look weak so Jinder has to play the chicken-shit instead of being a dominant wrestler. Same against Shinsuke. Jinder can have some good matches and is capable in that ring, but they just have to let him do it and give him the chance to show it.

6. Jason Jordan’s push is already dead.

FACT: The idea and angle is pretty stupid from the start and hasn’t gone anywhere since. Jordon is great in the ring, but he doesn’t have the personality or charisma to be a strong singles performer yet that I’ve seen and it seems that he’s just treading water. Even Miz is getting more cheers from the fans in their encounters and the whole storyline seems to be D.O.A. It might get a second wind and get better, but if anything is to happen, it needs to happen soon. Right now, it’s going nowhere.

And there you go with another “Fact or Fiction”, wrestling style, in the books. And with that, I’m out of here. Got things to do and people to see and I have to even go outside and into the world. Uuugh! Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts and any feedback is welcome. Until the next time, I’m forever yours.

Random MySpace Survey – 25 Questions

Random MySpace Survey: 25 Questions

I’m going crazy. Let’s do a MySpace survey.

1. If you were to attend a costume party tonight, what or whom would you go as?

A crazy cat lady.

2. What are your choice of toppings on a hamburger? And do you prefer gas or charcoal grilling?

For my burger, I like ketchup, mustard, slaw and chili (if it’s the good kind). And I actually prefer charcoal.

3. You are chosen to have lunch with the President. The condition is you only get to ask one question. What do you ask?

Why are you the way you are?

4. It’s your first day of vacation, what are you doing?

Taking a nap.

5. What is your concession stand must-have at the movies?

A popcorn is pretty much it. I bring the rest of my goodies with me.

6. Which do you dislike most: pop-up ads or spam email?

I hate the pop-ups. Spam, I can just delete. Pop-ups break my vibe.

7. What do you think Captain Hook’s name was before he had a hook for a hand?

Captain Hand…

8. Rock, paper, or scissors?

Always go with “paper”.

9. How long was it from ‘the first date’ until the proposal of marriage? How long until the wedding?

Usually six to eight months. And the wedding? For me, never.

10. Which is worse, being in a place that is too loud, or too quiet?

Too loud. I hate noise, but I love quiet. I need more of it in my life.

11. What is one quality that you really appreciate in a person?

A great ass… and a sense of humor.

12. At the good old general store, what particular kind of candy would you expect to be in the big jar at the counter?

Peppermints.

13. What is the most distinguishing landmark in your city?

Probably our new $14,000,000.00 city hall if the ass-clowns on the City Council have their way. (They won’t!) I’ll go with St. Andrews University. It’s a beautiful campus.

14. Everyone hears discussions that they consider boring. What topic can put you to sleep quicker than any other?

Unsolicited medical advice and hearing (repeatedly) what my siblings are doing that is wrong.

15. How many times did it take you to pass your drivers test?

One.

16. If you had to have the same topping on your vanilla ice cream for the rest of your life, what topping would you choose?

Chocolate syrup.

17. What food item would need to be removed from the market altogether in order for you to live a healthier, longer life?

Probably chips. They’re my addiction. Well, one of them anyhow.

18. You are offered an envelope that you know contains $50. You are then told that you may either keep it or exchange it for another envelope that may contain $500 or may be empty. Do you keep the first envelope, or do you take your chances with the second?

What the hell. Go for the $500 and take the chance.

19. If you had to choose, which would you give up: cable TV, or DSL/cable internet?

Cable TV. I only use it for wrestling and news anyhow.

20. What is your highest level of education?

A couple of years of college (never graduated) and over three decades of life experience.

21. How much is a gallon of gas in your city? What was the highest it’s been?

I think the regular was 2.15 per gallon yesterday morning. The highest I remember was about 4.25 or so about ten years ago.

22. What kind of lunch box did you have as a kid?

I had the “Six Million Dollar Man” one and I had a “Peanuts” one.

23. What would you rather have, a nanny, a housekeeper, a cook, or a chauffeur?

A housekeeper (and a Mexican pool boy).

24. Would you rather be trapped in an elevator, or stuck in traffic?

Traffic. I don’t like elevators.

25. Lets say a brick fell on your foot, and your kid is standing right next to you, what is your ‘cleaned up’ swear word?

No cleaning up. I’d apologize later, but the cuss words would be flying and damn anyone standing too close. They just have to hear it.

And that’s all folks. Until the next time…

Music Fact or Fiction – August 27, 2017

Tossing Salt Presents:
Music Fact or Fiction
August 27, 2017
DougMaynard.com

It is bright and early on Sunday morning. Well, not really so early, but it is bright. It’s already freakin’ hot out there. I don’t like heat or sun or daytime or any of that stuff. Yes, I’m a certified night owl. This daylight stuff though? Uugh! Let’s talk music and the “Music Fact or Fiction” thing that I like to do. The items and topics of comment come from my friends over at 411mania.com/music. The rest of it comes from me. Let’s just do this.

Regardless of whether or not Confederate statues should be replaced, a Missy Elliott statue replacement is a bad idea.

FACT: People need to leave the statues alone and get back to their lives of whining, crying and being burdens on society instead. It’s about history and heritage and I’m pretty sure that not a single one of these idiots crying about the Confederate statues was ever a slave, knows anyone who was a slave or anyone who had slaves. They didn’t know they were offended by the statues until they were told to be offended and like the mindless sheep that most of them are, they just follow along and now the statues are the worst thing ever. They can’t tell you why or explain themselves, but they can’t bear to have these statues, which most of which have been around for decades, still exist. And replacing one of these statues with one of Missy Elliott? Dumb as a box of rocks. If it was Waylon, then maybe, but recording artists can not replace war memorials. It’s just that simple and anyone who thinks different can go suck a big one.

Katy Perry is a good choice to host the VMAs.

FACT: Sure. Why not. She’s attractive, good personality, a talented entertainer and the people like her. Go for it!

Miley Cyrus’ “Younger Now” song was better than her last album.

FACT: I like the song and it’s kind of catchy. It looks as if Miley is starting to realize that the shenanigans will only get her so far and it’s the music that matters. The last album was about shock and awe and creating an image. This one seems to be about making music. Definitely a good move for Ms. Miley.

It was ridiculous to charge Elvis fans nearly $30 to visit his grave.

FICTION: Elvis’ estate wanted to make some money and it’s the 40th Anniversary of his death. They’re a private company with bills to pay. The fans would have spent the money in the gift shop at Graceland anyhow so it’s not a big deal.

Spotify made the right call in removing white supremacist bands from its service.

FACT: I ‘ve heard all the arguments about free speech and all that and normally I’d agree, but for Spotify, it’s a private company and I can see their point. It’s about making money with the least hassle and bad publicity possible. If these bands want their music featured on Spotify, conform to their terms of service or else find someone else to promote your music. As a private company, Spotify has every right to decide what they do and don’t want featured on their site and that’s the bottom line.

You’re interested in seeing Lady Gaga’s upcoming Netflix documentary.

FICTION: Gaga is okay, but she’s not really one of my favorites and unless it’s someone I’m really interested in, I don’t do many documentaries these days. Who has the time. I’m sure Gaga fans will love it, but I’m just not one of them.

And there you go with another FOF in the books. Thanks for reading. Comments and questions are welcome and appreciated. Let me know what you think. And with that, I’m down and gone. Until the next time, take care.

Opposing Views – August 24, 2017

Opposing Views
August 24, 2017
DougMaynard.com

Are you ready to get all political? One of my favorite sites on Facebook is one called “Opposing Views”, where they claim to have no agenda, but love to trash the Trump and push the left-wing issues and policies. Yeah, I said it. Regardless of their claim, everyone has an agenda when it comes to politics. And yeah, I guess that includes me as well. I’m just wanting to call it like it is, be straight up and let’s make America, the greatest country in the world, great again. Remember the Charlie Daniels Band song, “In America”? ‘Nuff said! But regardless of my issues with the motivations of the “Opposing Views” website, they do have some great questions that they regularly ask their readers. I’ve taken a few of those questions, the first ones I came across on their site, and I’m going to give my thoughts, my opinions and my answers. Yes, I’m giving my “opposing views”. It’s the truth with a Dougie twist. Let’s do this…

Which First Lady do you prefer seeing in the White House: Melania Trump or Michelle Obama?

I definitely prefer Melania Trump. She’s a beautiful and intelligent woman. Michelle was about as useful to me as her husband, but much more manly of course.

Do you think Trump is purposefully dividing America for his own political benefit?

I think Trump is fighting back against the people who are determined to oppose him and attacking him because they can’t get over that their candidate lost and are now afraid that their entitled asses will lose all the free stuff that the previous administration had given them. Donald is a loud-mouthed and arrogant blowhard and has the sensitivity of a lump of coal, but I think he has the best of intentions in mind and truly wants to make our nation great again. And somtimes, that involves people having to face reality and come out of their dream worlds and face hard truths, that the world doesn’t revolve around them and life isn’t always fair. Some may call it creating division, but I see it as do what has been needed to be done for far too long and it’s clearing the rubble to make room for the finished product, a better and great country.

Yes or No: Do you think Trump is racist?

Nope and I’ll tell you why. There was never, ever a single claim about Trump being racist until he decided to run for President. For years and years, whenever the urban community in New York needed money, they asked and Trump supplied. When Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson had an event, the first in line was Donald Trump. Trump has been involved in helping the minority communities in New York since the early 70’s. I’m not saying that there aren’t bumps in the road here and there, like a couple of government lawsuits and what not, but that was against companies owned by Trump and not the man himself. Yes, there is a difference. Has anyone at all ever come up with a report of Trump calling blacks the “N” word or calling latinos “Spics” or anything even similar? He does call Elizabeth Warren “Pocohantes”, but that’s because she lied about her supposed Indian background to get benefits and it’s called “sarcasm”, something Trump is very good at. Trump doesn’t see or care about skin color. He see’s people and what they represent, how they act, how they deal with things and most importantly, what can they do for him and his situation at any given time. He’s a business man first and foremost and it’s not about being black, white, yellow or whatever… it’s all about the green. Bottom line. Trump isn’t racist in my opinion. It has nothing to do with the color of your skin. It’s all about the character of your soul.

Do you think Obamas are good role models for American kids?

In some ways, yes. I don’t like their politics and question their honesty and characters, but they’re still proof that if one is determined enough, focused enough and sticks to your guns… oops, I can’t say guns because that would offend people so change that to “stay motivated”, that anything is possible. Obama went from dealing drugs (allegedly) in college to becoming President of the United States, mainly because he was photogenic and gave a great speech. That is a story worth reading and could be an example for kids that anything is possible in America.

Paul Ryan says Trump’s response to the Charlottesville tragedy was simply awful. Who do you side with: Ryan or the president?

Ryan is wrong here and let me tell you why. Trump’s initial response wasn’t great, but he did and said nothing wrong. If any other President in history had said the exact same thing, no one would have said a single word of complaint. But it was Donald Trump talking and no matter what he says or doesn’t say, it was ripped apart and dissected by the media and automatically wrong. Perhaps Trump could have been softer and more consoling during the initial comments, but that’s not Trump. He stated the truth and got trashed for it. Ryan needs to worry about his own comments and image and be less concerned with that of the President.

Sarah Palin says Republican politicians who refuse to support Trump should be kicked out of the party. Do you agree with her?

No because that would leave a very small and tiny party left over. Palin is a bit out there sometimes anyhow, but should know better. The Republican Party is many things to many people. Some things are good and others, not quite as good and it’s in a state of constant evolution, constantly changing. It has to be about people with different opinions and ideas all coming together. We have to be about real values and change and thinking outside the box, a melting pot of ideas and compromise. We can’t all just follow one person blindly and have just one goal and / or agenda or else we’d be the Democrats, the party of Hillary and Barack and that would never do. The Republican has to include everyone, with their different opinions, different values, different ideas, all united towards a single goal, making America great again. And part of that includes standing up to the President and when he’s wrong or screwing up, telling him so. Palin is so very wrong here.

Are you glad Obama will never be president again?

Yes.

Newt Gingrich says Trump has his issues, but he’s still a way better president than Hillary would have been. Agree or disagree?

I definitely agree. Trump was not my first pick or even my tenth pick, but he’s the President now and I have to respect that and live with it. So far as better than Hillary goes, that’s not hard to do. A pile of dog feces would be more honest and trustworthy than Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders is a total hypocrite and nut-case, but he would be better than Hillary. Bill Cosby would make a better President than Hillary (just don’t eat the jello pudding pops). Trump is a bit crazy and marches to his own, very erratic beat, but he has an agenda and truly does, I believe, want to put America first and as he says repeatedly, “Make America great again!”. Hillary is the embodiment of Satan himself, but I think she may be more truly evil than even the fabled fallen angel is professed to be. By comparison, Hillary makes Wal-Mart look like a shining and noble place in our lives. She is that bad.

Yes or No: Do you think the media hates Trump?

Is this even a real question? I don’t think it. I know it. And if you want proof, compare the attacks by the supposedly impartial media against this President compared to the reporting on any other former President. The only difference is that Trump lives for the fight and is fighting back hard. It’s a war he can’t win, but he won’t stop. And neither will the so-called journalist. Forget about actual news and what actually happens. It’s far better to imply, suggest, make up stuff and speculate as to further their agenda and bring Trump down.

Who is more corrupt: Trump or Hillary?

Trump is crude, rude, overbearing, loud, speaks before he thinks and too damn cocky for his own good. Hillary is a Clinton. I think the answer is obvious.

And I think that’s it for now. I’ll be back later on tonight with more stuff. Thank you for reading. Thoughts, comments and opinion is welcome and appreciated. Tell me what you think. And we’ll keep it real. Until the next time, have a great one.
