WWE Extreme Rules 2016: Thoughts & Predictions

In just slightly over twenty-four hours, the WWE will embrace the powers of extreme and all rules are out the window. It’s WWE Extreme Rules, coming live on pay-per-view and of course, the WWE Network, from the great state of New Jersey. So what does that mean, boys and girls? It means it’s time to break out the Sister Cleo outfit, the Gary Spivey wig and the Dionne Warwick albums and do that “prediction thing” that I like to do. Where is Jeanne Dixon when you need her? Are you ready? I am and dat’ is all de’ people need to know! Let’s do this…

WWE World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles: Extreme Rules Match

This should be a hard hitting and slobber-knocker of a match. I would love to see AJ go over here and I’m sure that 98% of the fans would agree, but will Vince and HHH listen? No, I don’t think so. I’m expecting that since it’s anything goes in this match, we’ll see a lot of other folks getting involved including “The Club”, the Uso’s and probably even the Social Misfits too. Okay, maybe not the Misfits, although I would totally mark out if they did. There will be a swerve of some sort taking place during this match. It’d make for a great place for former NXT Champion Finn Balor to show up and take control of the “Balor Club”, having Anderson and Gallows cost Styles the match. It’d also be fun to see Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family reappear and ignite a fued against AJ and the Club. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m sure of this. At the end of the night, Roman will still be the WWE World Champion.

Winner and STILL WWE World Champion: Roman Reigns

WWE Women’s champion Charlotte vs. Natalya: Submission Match with Ric Flair banned from ringside

If they let these two women go, this should be a damn good match. Ric is banned from ringside and if he even comes out, Charlotte will lose the belt. But what if someone else like Arn Anderson comes out? Or what if “Little Naitch” Charles Robinson, as the Senior Referee of the WWE, gets involved? I’m expecting a great match with a screwball finish that makes everyone end up crapping on the action that proceeds it. And Charlotte will cheat to win and retain the title, one way or another.

Winner and STILL WWE Women’s Champion: Charlotte

WWE Intercontinental champion The Miz vs. Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens

Sami Zayn will not win. That’s the only given here. Miz can win or not win and he’ll be okay, because he’s the Miz, he’s having a good resurrection of his career, he has Mayrse and he’s awesome. Kevin Owens is so freakin’ over right now, he doesn’t need the belt and actually will, in my opinion, do better as the disgruntled and pissed off former champion out to regain his title. And the man who walks out as the champion at the end of the night, should be Cesaro.

Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Cesaro

WWE Tag Team champions The New Day vs. The Vaudevillains

The New Day are so over right now with the WWE Universe, it’s almost scary. The Vaudevillians are tremendous in the ring, but they’re the new kids, just up from NXT. They don’t stand a chance… or do they? I think it would make for a good change of pace to see the New Day chasing the titles instead of being the champions and I’m scared that if the Vaudevillians lose in their first big pay-per-view match, they’ll end up getting the Ascension treatment and they deserve far better than that. So I’m calling it here – NEW CHAMPIONS as the Vaudevillians take the tag team titles to a bygone era (and hopefully a good feud against Enzo & Cass).

Winners and NEW WWE World Tag Team Champions: The Vaudevillians

WWE United States champion Kalisto vs. Rusev

Kalisto has held the United States Championship for several months now and no one cares. I know I don’t. Cena is coming back and a series of matches against Rusev over the U.S. title would be a great way to showcase Cena without putting him in the WWE title picture. I think that’s the way WWE will go and I think Rusev has been looking great lately so he deserves the title anyhow.

Winner and NEW WWE United States Champion: Rusev

Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho

It’s time for Jericho to take a break and go do his Fozzy stuff and podcast stuff and whatever else it is that he does when he’s not wrestling. Ambrose has been losing some of his momentum that he gained fighting against HHH while bogged down with Jericho. It’s time for him to move on. Look for a great match with Jericho getting the big beatdown at the end to send him off in a blaze of glory (until the next time) and Ambrose getting his arm raised in victory.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. The Usos: Texas Tornado

It serves absolutely no purpose for the Usos to win here. If the Club doesn’t get the win, we riot. ‘Nuff said!

Winners: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler: No DQ (Kickoff Match)

Corbin is a monster and he’s already lost far too many matches against Ziggler since coming to the main roster. He needs to win here and win convincingly. I think the Corbin Era is ready to begin and it starts tomorrow night at Extreme Rules against Dolph Ziggler.

Winner: Baron Corbin

And there you go. My predictions for the matches listed for tomorrow night at WWE Extreme Rules. Am I right? Am I wrong? Was Baron Von Raschke a great singer? Did RIcky Steamboat really turn on Paul Jones and end their partnership because he was jealous? We’ll find out the answers to two of these four questions tomorrow night at the big event. Thanks for reading. Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Alice Cooper: Ranking The Albums

I think it’s safe to assume that everyone knows that I’m a huge fan of Alice Cooper. In fact, along with the box set “The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper” and several bootleg cassettes, I own 24 of the 26 albums, not including the live albums or “Greatest Hits” compilations. I have those too, but they’re not really considered “official” Alice releases. I also have several VHS tapes of Alice in concert and even own a VHS copy of the epic movie, “Monster Dog”. So with all of that in mind, I recently came across an article on some website where some ass-clown rated the entire Alice Cooper collection, all 26 albums, from best to worst. I’ll post the link to the article if I can find it again.

But needless to say, I don’t really agree with what he feels are the best… or the worst of Alice Cooper. And since I’m wide awake at 1:00am and getting bored with watching the tattoo shows on Spike TV, I decided to give my own take on the greatness and best to worst Alice albums. By the way, have I mentioned that I want a new tattoo. My birthday is coming up in July and if anyone wants to help buy me a tattoo for the celebration of my day of birth, I would not say no or object in the slightest. Now, what was I saying? Oh yeah, I’m going to list the 26 albums of the great Alice Cooper from the worst to the best. It’s just a list, but what the heck? There are no bad Alice albums and I’ve enjoyed all of them to some degree, but there are definitely some I prefer over others. So let’s just do this, okay?

By the way, the first two albums, which will be listed as numbers 26 and 25, are only there because I don’t own them and haven’t listened to them in full yet, thus I really don’t have an educated opinion on them. The rest though, numbers 24 through number 1, are listed in the order that I prefer them and enjoy them, although honestly, my opinions change from day to day. All the albums are great in their own way and Alice is the man. ‘Nuff said. Now let’s make this list.

26. Dirty Diamonds
25. The Eyes Of Alice Cooper
24. Dragontown
23. Flush The Fashion
22. Pretties For You
21. Easy Action
20. Special Forces
19. Zipper Catches Skin
18. Brutal Planet
17. Along Came A Spider
16. Welcome 2 My Nightmare
15. Schools Out
14. Dada
13. Billion Dollar Babies
12. Lace & Whiskey
11. Muscle of Love
10. Constrictor
9. Raise Your Fist & Yell
8. Killer
7. Alice Cooper Goes To Hell
6. Hey Stoopid
5. Trash
4. Love It To Death
3. Welcome To My Nightmare
2. Last Temptation
1. From The Inside

And there you go. Alice Cooper – the Nightmare lives forever.

Have a great one.

WWE Payback 2016: Thoughts and Predictions

It’s already late in what is going to be a very busy and long day for me and I just remembered that tonight, on the WWE Network and also on pay-per-view, is WWE Payback. I have so much to say and talk about, but that will all have to wait until a future date. I’ll keep this short and sweet, like an ex of mine in more ways than one, and just stick to the basics and that means predictions for the matches and nothing more. Well, two things more, but I’ll be brief on that as well.

Happy Birthday to my most-awesome & favoritest Sister-In-Law, Tamara Parker McDonald! I love ya girlie! Happy Birthday!

Later this afternoon, I will be attending a memorial service for an incredible and inspirational woman, a dear friend, who passed away a few days ago. Sue, you made a great imapct in my life and were a true friend. You are missed already, but I know that now, you’re reunited with Jim, basking in the glow of Heaven and no longer hurting. Rest in peace.

And now, let’s do some wrestling PPV predictions. It’s WWE Payback, coming from Chicago, IL. How many CM Punk chants do you think we’ll hear tonight? Let’s do this!

WWE Payback 2016 – Predictions

WWE World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles.

This should be a really good and fast paced match. I don’t think who will walk out of the arena at the end of the night is really any question though. AJ hasn’t been in the WWE long enough to take the top spot and Roman is the golden boy, so he’ll keep the title. The only question is how and the answer? Finn Balor, Gallows and Anderson, aka the “Balor Club’. A quick piece of history is that when AJ left New Japan Pro Wrestling, he was kicked out of the Bullet Club. They’ve even hinted and alluded to it a few times on RAW. So AJ and Roman put on a helluva match. Either Gallows and Anderson interfere, attacking both men and causing a double-dq or no-contest, or they interfere after Roman scores a pin and they lay out AJ. Regardless of how it ends, Roman stays the champ. I’ll give him the benefit of a doubt though. Roman will score a close and contested pin before it all breaks loose.

Winner and STILL WWE Champion: Roman Reigns

WWE Women’s champion Charlotte (with Ric Flair) vs. Natalya (with Bret Hart)

Ric is causing problems in major airports and has cancelled his podcast, Wooo Nation. Bret has come out in public trashing HHH and talking about how he doesn’t even want to be there at Payback. So who will be punished more for the actions of their relative? Charlotte or Natayla? Natayla is great and deserves far more than she gets from the company, but she has absolutely no heat behind her right now. This whole match is just rushed and blah in my opinion. Charlotte is doing great in her current role and I think she’ll keep the title tonight as well.

Winner and STILL WWE Divas Champion: Charlotte

Vince McMahon decides who will run Raw.

We keep hearing that the brand split is coming back and this should be the start. If Vince acts as he has in the past, Shane will get RAW and Steph will get Smackdown and blah, blah, blah… I would love to have Vince come out and say that he hasn’t decided yet so for the next few weeks, we’ll have “Guest GM’s” for both RAW and Smackdown, giving us a chance to see folks like Eric Bischoff, Vickie Guerrero, Teddy Long, Brad Maddox, Mike Adamle, the Anonymous RAW GM, WIlliam Regal, Mick Foley, Steve Austin, HBK, etc all come back, reprising their previous roles as Authority figures and have control for a night and just have some fun nostalgia. Then they can do the actual announcements for Shane at RAW and the Authority at Smackdown at SummerSlam. Whatever though. Wouldn’t it be cool if Vince dissed both Steph and Shane and announced CM Punk as the new boss? Pipe-bomb!!! We could only hope and dream.

Shane gets RAW – Steph gets Smackdown and we all get a big bathroom break here…

WWE Intercontinental champion The Miz (with Maryse) vs. Cesaro

Miz is getting back a lot of momentum and heat, but he has always been good for that. Cesaro is back from injury and hasn’t missed a step. He looks great. I think we’re going to see a title change here.

Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Cesaro

Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho

Ambrose needs to get a clean win. Jericho can lose every match at this point and it won’t make a bit of difference to anyone. Ambrose always comes so close, but never can grab that brass ring. Tonight, he grabs that brass ring.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens

Much like Ambrose, Zayn needs to get a win here. Since coming up from NXT to the main roster, Zayn has been impressive, but he lost to Jericho. He hasn’t won the big matches and he’s in danger of being lost in the mix. A good tight match should happen and in the end, Zayn should be the one to get that arm raised at the end. Owens can lay him out backstage later in the night or else on RAW on Monday to get his heat back. It won’t take much, but as for tonight, Zayn needs to be the one who wins. It’s just that simple.

Winner: Sami Zayn

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs. The Vaudevillains to earn WWE Tag Team championship.

Enzo and Cass are already over with the WWE audience and you can’t teach that. The Vaudevillians are great and tremendous wrestlers, but if they lose this match, they will get the Ascension treatment and it’s over before it started. They’re more of an acquired taste that has to be watched several times to be appreciated. The best thing, in my opinion, is that since Enzo & Cass are already having problems with the Dudley Boyz, you have the Dudleys create a distraction and the Vaudevillians pick up the win. Then you can have the Vaudewillians go off to fight the New Day, a classic heel versus face match, while Enzo & Cass go fight the Dudleys in another great face versus heel match. Everyone wins here and that’s how it should be.

Winners and NEW #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship: The Vaudevillians

WWE United States champion Kalisto vs. Ryback.

Does anyone at all even care about this match? Kalisto won at Wrestlemania and retained the title. And no one remembers or cares. The ‘Big Guy’ should win the title tonight, then he can hold it for a month until John Cena returns to the ring. Then Cena beats Ryback and brings back the “Open Challenge”. And Ryback gets to go join Kalisto, Sin Cara, Darren Young and about a dozen others backstage at Catering while they wait for their next non-push.

Winner and NEW United States Champion: Ryback

And there you go with my predictions for WWE Payback later tonight. Enjoy the show and thanks for reading. I’ll catch you guys and gals on the flip side.
