Just finished watching NXT Takeover: Chicago fron last night and if there is such a thing as a perfect wrestling event, this one comes pretty close. From start to finish, it was good matches that told story after story and the energy and action was just surreal. Big kudos to everyone at NXT who performed last night. Asuka is amazing. Itami had almost the perfect match he’s been needing to have for so long and even though he didn’t win, he’s truly coming out a winner. Bobby Roode was, dare I say it, “Glorious” and gets better and better each and every time he defends that NXT title. And the DIY versus AOP ladder match was everything a ladder match should be. And the right team won. And what happened afterwards? No spoilers here for those who haven’t seen the show yet, but sometimes things happen for the right reasons. It was shocking in the correct way and I’m extremely looking forward to seeing where it all goes next.

Also watched the movie “Logan” this morning. If it truly is Hugh Jackman’s last movie playing the mutant X-Man, Wolverine, so be it. He went out in a great way and a way very fitting for one who was the best there is as what he does. The story was simple, basic and worked very well. A great movie. But is Logan (Wolverine) really dead? Does any mutant, especially an X-Man, really stay dead for long?

It feels great out there today. ‘Nuff said!

So Fox TV is going to do a live version of the musical “Rent”. I’m both looking forward to and also a little anxious about this. I love the movie and the music and the play and it’s so damn good and touching, and it’s great to see it getting some attention and exposure and that the folks at Fox think it’s popular and loved enough to attract an audience. All of that is good. But they (Fox) really messed up and almost ruined the Rocky Horror Picture Show when they did the live version of that. It’s just not watchable and I love the RHPS. I’m even an official card carrying member of the official RHPS Fan Club for well over twenty-five years. I was so excited when I heard that Fox was going to do the live version. I was so pissed and disappointed when I saw the live version. Hopefully, they’ve learned from their mistakes and do it right this time.

A quick question about the special counsel appointed to investigate our President. A special council is only supposed to be there when laws and statues are thought to have been broken, yet no one can indicate a single federal law or statue that Donald Trump has supposedly broken. There is screaming and yelling and all sorts of people making all sorts of noise, but no one can give any specifics in any way, shape or form as to what violations and what laws were supposedly broken by our President. Crazy, isn’t it? But then again, it’s Washington D.C. and crazy seems to be the rule of the day. Also stupidity, hypocrisy, spiteful anger and delusional behavior.

I need to start getting out and exercising more. Is there anyone interested in getting together and walking at the college or at Hammond Park on a regular basis? My feet and legs already hate me and are going fast, but maybe I can get something out of them and I need to walk off some of this belly. I’m losing weight and toning up a bit, but that belly and my endurance both need some work and walking would be great for that. I’m thinking mostly at night though because that daylight and sunshine thing, it’s just too freakin’ hot!

Did you see where the man is suing this woman he took out on a date for roughly $18. She stayed on her phone, texting during the entire day and ended up skipping out on him and he’s pissed. I don’t blame him. I hate a damn cell phone and when I’m with someone and all they’re doing is talking or texting on their phone, I feel like they would rather just be somewhere else or with someone else, so why are they wasting their time and mine by being there in the first place. It’s annoying as hell and pisses me off. I hope he wins that lawsuit. It probably will never even make it to court, except for maybe Judge Alex or the People’s Court, but that biatch, and all like her, need to be smacked… repeatedly.

Did you see where the television networks are bring back “Rosanne” and “Will & Grace” to TV next season for limited runs. This is good and I think that both shows, especially since they have the original casts, will be exciting, fun to watch and have much success. But if the Networks really want to impress someone and show us something, bring us back “The Golden Girls”, with the original cast. Or “Chico & The Man” with the original cast. Or “The Jeffersons”. If you can do all of that, then you’ll impress me. Marks!

This is going to be a long week coming up or at least the first part of it. I do the Food Bank stuff on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I’ve got work on Monday night as well and possibly something else I’ll be doing on Tuesday night too. I have an appointment early Tuesday morning and then have to be in Southern Pines on Wednesday morning at 9:00am. Then add in regular life events, RAW and Smackdown on Monday and Tuesday night, socializing with my bro and the mini-me, trying to find Mr. Right, my usual writing and plotting to take over the world, I’m gonna be one tired puppy. I need an assistant.
