Q & A and a Wrestling Rant
June 20, 2017
I was thinking about doing a “Facebook Q&A”, but there aren’t really all that many questions showing up on my Facebook feed tonight, not even in the “We Are Nameless” group, so that looks like it will be a bust. So I decided to go visit the KOK (Kult of Kayfabe) and see what kind of wrestling related questions are being posted tonight. The KOK is active as ever, but for opinion based questions, it’ll a bit lacking tonight as well. So what should I do? Forget about writing? Write about the huge injustice I just witnessed while watching Smackdown Live on television? Go watch a movie? Well, I’m going to write and I’ll watch a movie later. And as for what to write about, how about I combine the questions I did find and make my comments about Smackdown all in the same piece. That sounds like a plan and exactly what I’m going to do. So we’ll do a quick general questions type Q&A, then move on to the wrestling stuff and I’ll close with a few comments about Smackdown. And away we go…
General Stuff Q&A…
Would you end a friendship with someone if they maliciously hurt another one of your friends but never did anything to hurt you?
That’s a hard question that can’t be answered with a yes or no. It would depend upon the situation, the reasoning and circumstances, the person themselves and my relationship with them, their justification and was it warranted, etc. I think my respect for said person would take a big drop and it would make me wary of that person and their behavior towards me and others, but it’s a situation that I can’t say what exactly what I would do unless it actually happened. And the scenario that this question describes, it’s something that I hope I never have to experience.
Be honest. Would you swap phones with your mate for a whole day?
Absolutely. With me, what you see is what you get and I don’t have anything to hide.
What does it mean to be nameless?
I have a name. Several of them actually depending upon who you’re talking to, so what would it mean to me to be nameless? Probably confusing as hell and it’d be hard to wait in line for your name to be called since you don’t have a name. I remember a song about a horse with no name that spent a lot of time wandering around in the desert, probably because he didn’t have a name. I don’t know what it means. Eat more cheese? I have no idea.
Name a candy that starts with the first letter of your name?
The only think I can think of is “Dum Dums”, the little mini-me lollipops that you can find at the Dollar Store and get in your bag each Halloween. Are there any other “D” candies? I sure can’t think of any.
And now, let’s move on to wrestling, the “King of Sports”…
Wrestling Q&A…
Hogan versus Flair. Who had the best interviews?
They each had their own style and knew how to bring fans to the arena, putting butts in the seats and that’s a fact. But the better of the two? I have to go with the stylin’ and profilin’, jet flying, limousine riding, dirtiest player in the game, the two time Hall of Famer and recognized as a 16-time (but actually more) World Champion, the one and only Nature Boy Ric Flair. Wooooooooo!
The most disappointing wrestler, so far this year, award goes to… ??
Bray Wyatt. The way they’re using and booking him as of late in the WWE, he may as well be Husky Harris again. He deserves so much better and could / should be at the top of the roster, but they just don’t seem to know what to do with him or how to book him strongly and it sucks. *shakes my head*
Favorite current woman of:
Smackdown: Charlotte Flair, but have to admit that Carmella is growing on me. Love Tamina too.
Raw: RAW doesn’t really seem to know what to do with their women. I’ll go with Mickie James.
Nxt: Asuka – ‘Nuff said!
Did Enzo shoot cry on Raw, or was it gimmick tears?
I think the tears were real. Now he has to find a new traveling partner on the road and that is a major bitch!
Who was the most intimidating wrestler you ever met?
I’ve met many many wrestlers over the years and most were decent and cool people. Meeting Robert Gibson was kind of intimidating because of who he is and meeting Matt Hardy was odd because he was a bit of an ass in my opinion. But the most intimidating was my lil’ bro, Mike Youngblood. We are friends, family and even were roommates for a time and Mike is one of the best guys I’ve ever known. He’s got a heart as big as Texas and you can not find a better friend or person to have in your life. But that being said, when he gets PO’ed and that temper blows up, he is easily one of the scariest and most intimidating people I’ve ever known in my life, not just wrestling. A helluva wrestler and he’ll be getting back in the ring very soon against Paul Lee and that should be a damn good match. And Paul Lee, if you’re not intimidated or scared yet, you should be. A loving and friendly Youngblood will beat you and hurt you pretty badly. A pissed off Younblood will end your career and make you his bitch. And you’ve pissed Mike off. Have fun because you’re in for some pain, blues and agony. ‘Nuff said!
Is it possible that Big Cass is jealous of Enzo because Enzo is a “Certified G” AND a “bonafide stud” and Cass is only seven feet tall?
I think he just got tired of the mouth. Enzo needs to quit talking so much. And you CAN teach that.
And now, that the Q&A part of all of this is over, let’s get on to Smackdown Live and the WWE.
Smackdown Thoughts: Carmella Got Screwed!
Let’s see. They admit that the win, where Ellsworth climbed the ladder and then tossed to Carmella the Money In The Bank briefcase, was legal since it was a “No DQ” match and there were no rules. The WWE and Daniel Bryan admit that there was precedence about others getting involved in the Money In The Bank matches, affecting the outcome of the match. But still, Daniel Bryan stripped Carmella of her Money In The Bank briefcase on Smackdown and declared that there will be another Women’s Money In The Bank match on Smackdown Live next week.
This is all good for drama, storylines and ratings, which is exactly what the WWE is hoping and going for. I get all of that. But that doesn’t change that Carmella didn’t break the rules since there were not any rules and she deserves to keep that briefcase and be Ms. Money In The Bank. But that being said, what’s done is done and Daniel Bryan, the Smackdown GM made his decision. So what happens next? Where do they go with this? I have a theory. Hear me out.
So they have the rematch Money In The Bank match next week and let’s say that Charlotte wins. So Charlotte is Ms. Money In The Bank, right? And Carmella, realizing that she’s been screwed, decides to take action. She brings in a lawyer or attorney and threatens WWE, Shane McMahon, Daniel Bryan, etc, all with a lawsuit unless they reverse their decision and give her bank her Money In The Bank contract, which she won fairly, squarely and within the framework of the rules. The WWE is forced to give in and now we have two female Money In The Bank contract holders on Smackdown. And that’s a problem that can be solved, via the precedent set by Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon many years ago when they had a dispute over who was the real Intercontinetal Champion. How about a “Ladder Match” for the Money In The Bank briefcase between Carmella and whoever wins next Tuesday night. This keeps the story alive for a while and makes sense, dragging it all out at least until SummerSlam.
Sounds like a plan right?
And that’s all for now. Tell me what you think about my Q&A stuff, my armchair booking for the Smackdown Women, and anything else you want to talk about. Thank you for reading. And now, time for that movie I mentioned earlier. I think it’s an “All Eyes On Me” type of night. I love autobiographies full of lies and half-truths. Talk at you later my friends.
Ubuntu!
