Tossing Salt Wrestling Q&A

Are you ready to talk a little professional wrestling. Tomorrow night is WWE Great Balls of Fire and I’ve got the world’s greatest sport firmly on my mind. The following questions were found on Facebook, mainly at the KoK (Kult of Kayfabe). And the answers, they come from me. Let’s do this…
Andre asks, “Would you like to see ‘Broken Matt Hardy’ on WWE television?”
I would love to see Matt and Jeff bring their “Broken Universe” to the WWE, if only to freshen up their act and be interesting again. I was happy to see “The Hardy Boyz” come back to the WWE at Wrestlemania, but the act has grown stale and the nostalgia has quickly worn off. I enjoyed Matt and Jeff when they were doing TNA and were the only things interesting going on there last year and I’m interested in seeing how a “Broken Matt” and “Brother Nero” would relate to the WWE roster like Bray Wyatt, King Neville, Kane, etc. It could be fun to see.
Jeffrey says, “Being “Great Balls of Fire” is possibly the worst PPV name I’ve heard in years, NAME your own horrid PPV name…”
How about “Not The NFL – Suffer Fools!”?
Kevin asks, “What were some of the worst matches / feuds in Pro Wrestling history?”
I have seen many bad feuds over many stupid and bad things, but the one that stands out most in my mind has always been when Edge and Booker T wrestled a match at Wrestlemania and feuded over who was going to be in a Japanese shampoo commercial. Now that was dumb!
James asks, “What were some bad gimmicks on good talent?”
Red Rooster on Terry Taylor, Aldo Montoya on Al Snow. Leif Cassidy on Al Snow. Oz for Kevin Nash. Kerwin White for Chavo Guerrero. Sweet Ebony Diamond for Rocky Johnson. The Fat Chick Thriller for Mike Awesome. Shall I continue?
Rohit asks, “Who’s your pick as winner of Mae Young Classic?”
Whoever Triple H and Vince pick to win… lol. But I would like to see Tessa Blanchard take home that victory and come to the WWE Women’s Division and create a new “Four Horsewomen” with Charlotte Flair, Tamina and Sasha Banks.
Marcus AKA, “If WWE had a location, building, park, etc… would the Hall of Fame be a must see physical attraction? Would you go?”
Damn skippy I would. And to be honest, WWE needs to do just that and build a true, brick and mason, real building Hall of Fame, preferably in Orlando near the Performance Center.
Jake asks, “Which wrestlers do you think could be good actors in Hollywood?”
I just recently watched “The Marine 5” and Miz, Bo Dallas, Heath Slater and Curtis Axel all impressed me with their acting skills. I also think that Kane and Bray Wyatt could be pretty strong characters for that silver screen.
Donnie asks, “True or False: The nWo was a bigger influence on wrestling culture than DX?”
True. DX has the longer and better run, but they were mostly created by WWE as a response to counter the nWo. nWo < DX, but both factions still fall behind and are lacking when compared to the greatest wrestling faction of all time, The Horsemen. Diamonds are forever and so are the Horsemen.
Brian asks, “Would you be interested in seeing a Women’s Royal Rumble Match?”
Yes and I think it’s just a matter of time before it happens. I believe I heard someone say that between NXT and WWE, there are like 35 or so active women wrestlers on the roster. Then add in legends like Lita, Trish, Victoria, etc, who can still go, as well as the part-timers like Nikki Bella and even Stephanie McMahon and there are more than enough women available. That’s not even including the women who are participating in the Mae Young Classic. 30 Women – No Problem. It’ll happen sooner rather than later and I’m loooking forward to seeing it when it does.
And that’s all I’m doing right now. Time to go watch the “Spiderman: Homecoming” movie. I’ll probably be back later on with more stuff. Thanks for reading. Thoughts and comments are welcome. I’m Doug and as the great Baron Von Raschke would say, “Dat is all de’ people need to know!” Have a great one and I’ll catch you later.
Ubuntu!
