Tossing Salt Wrestling Q&A
July 17, 2017

I just finished watching RAW and Kurt Angle’s big reveal was Jason Jordon? Who? I’d rather have seen Dixie Carter or Hornswoggle come out. Whatever WWE, whatever? Are you ready for some quick Q&A? These are wrestling based questions I found on Facebook, mostly at the KoK. And the answers to each question, those come from me. Let’s do this…

Lee asks, “Who has better mic skills? Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins?”

Neither really floats my boat as a speaker, but it’s not because they’re bad on the mic, but just that I’m not really a big fan of either character. Ambrose just bores the hell out of me and Seth, he’s so over-produced and scripted on the mic that we can’t really say for sure how he would be if he was able to cut loose and work on the fly. Seth doesn’t bore me though and I see more potential in him than Ambrose so I’ll go with Seth.

Reginald says, “I got a question. We know in a few years, Undertaker is going to WWE Hall of Fame. So my question is, who should induct him? Well my opinion is Mick Foley because to me, he had some great matches with him. But I want to know your opinion of who should induct him and why.”

The best choice would have been Paul Bearer, his “father”, but since Bearer is no longer with us, I would either go with his “brother”, Kane, aka Glen Jacobs or I’d have either Steve Austin or Shawn Micheals, since they’re both stars from the same era and are the closest thing that Taker has to “peers” step up and do the honors.

Sam asks, “If Ronda Rousey was to compete in WWE, what superstar would you like to see her face first?”

Eventually, I’d love to see a Rousey match against Charlotte Flair, but not at the beginning. I’d go with Natayla first to really make sure that Ronda is ready to do things with the WWE style and “wrestle”, plus Natayla would make Ronda look like a billion bucks in the process.

Rohit asks, “Is a PPV / Special for each main roster brand every month a good idea?”

Actually, it’s kind of over-kill, but if they can space them out a bit more and make the shows meaningful, I have no problem with a monthly PPV for each brand and then the “Big 4” spaced in between. This is why they have the Network and since it won’t cost me any extra money for the extra shows, it’s just more bang for the buck and they should go with it.

Bryan says, “Let’s pretend CM Punk decides to return to pro wrestling, but he refuses to go back to WWE. Where would you like to see him go? Impact wrestling (Global Force), NJPW, Lucha Underground, ROH? Someplace else?”

WWE would be the only place that would give him the money he’d be asking for, but if he was to come back for a one-shot or short run, either ROH or New Japan would be the way to go in my opinion.

Stephen asks, “Who would people say is a really underrated mic worker? For me, its Bubba Ray Dudley. Dude had the ability to get NUCLEAR heat when he wanted.”

The first name that came to mind for me was Stevie RIchards. A good worker to be sure, but the heat he could generate on the mic was amazing as well. Remember the “Right To Censor” back in the Attitude Era. That heat was amazing and Richards caused 90% of that. He took that gimmick and storyline and ran with it and never looked back. Ivory was great on the mic as well. Remember her promos against Moolah and Mae Young? Or against Chyna? The woman was a great talker in an era where women were just supposed to look good. Ivory not only did that, but also could talk and go in the ring as well. A triple-threat performer. So Ivory and Stevie. Those are my picks.

And that’s all for now. Short, I know, but that happens sometimes. Thanks for reading. Thoughts and comments are welcome. Have a great night and I’ll holler at you later. Take care.
