I was just looking back at the site and I realized something. I haven’t done a “Music Fact or Fiction” yet this week. What the hell? So I checked again and then went over to 411mania.com/music and guess what? Neither have they. So I don’t feel quite so bad. But still, I feel a void here. My site is lacking. So I decided to throw together one myself. But the music news, at least what I care about, is majorly lacking. So if I can’t do music, I’ll do the next best thing and that’s “Pop Culture”. Six topics of general pop culture and I’ll decide if I agree or not. You know the drill. Let’s do this…

Kid Rock will run for the United States Senate in 2018?

FICTION: I’d love to see it actually happen, but Kid has far too many other things going on and I can’t see him putting his musical career on hold for six years just to deal with mindless babble and legal-speak with the so-called powers that be. He’s getting a lot of press with this, which helps sell his new album, and he’s having fun rattling the chains and messing with the Democrats and the media at the same time, who are terrified that Rock just might be serious about all of this. Don’t worry. He’s not!

OJ Simpson should be paroled?

FACT: Let’s face it. When he was convicted of these “kidnapping charges”, it wasn’t because he was guilty of actually kidnapping, but instead because he managed to get off with the murder of his ex-wife and her friend. He was found “Not Guilty” by a jury trial and the D.A. in Vegas wanted to make sure that OJ went to prison anyhow. He’s already served far more time than everyone else involved in this “crime”, including the person who actually had a gun with them… and it wasn’t OJ. He’s seventy years old now and can barely walk. He’s getting paroled later today as he should be.

Ann Coulter is right to be mad at Delta Airlines?

FACT:  So Ann paid for a certain seat in advance, had it reserved in advance and then got mad when Delta, for no reason that they can explain yet, snatched her ticket away and gave that reserved seat to someone else. I don’t blame her for being pissed. I’d be mad too. And then Ann rants about it on Twitter and Delta tries to call her out. Well, if they hadn’t messed up in the first place, she never would have said a word about the flight, would she? Ann got a bit petty on Twitter, but Delta took it to the next level as if they’re totally without fault. It’s all their fault and despite her snarky pettiness on Twitter (this is Ann Coulter we’re talking about so it’s to be expected – it’s her schtick), Delta messed up and caused the problems to start with. Delta owns Coulter a big apology.

You are looking forward to the upcoming Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather battle?

FACT: I actually am. We all know it’s fixed since they’re going with “boxing rules” and unless Conor can score a knock-out, Floyd will win, but one can only hope. I’d love to see Floyd get his ass whooped.

Fox News is better since the departure of Bill O’Reilly, Megan Kelly and Greta Van Susteren?

FICTION: I don’t miss Megan Kelly all that much, but O’Reilly, despite his blowhard ass-holeness was always entertaining and usually spot on with his commentary. And Greta was straight ahead, no favorites and an extrmely good journalist, something that is majorly lacking in the TV media these days. Nothing against Tucker Carlson, who is trying his best to be an O’Reilly light and nothing against the folks at “The Five”, but Tucker ain’t no O’Reilly and The Five belongs at five o’clock. The folks at Fox took a major dive in the ratings when they lost their “All Star Lineup” and would be smart if they would / could just suck it up and get O’Reilly and Greta back into the fold.
