Opposing Views

Are you ready to talk some politics? The following questions come from a Facebook page called “Opposing Views”, a left-leaning page that hates Trump, hates Republicans and claims to have no agenda. On that, they are most definitely lying. But they do have some great political questions on their page. Some of the comments by readers will have your brain cells screaming in agony at the sheer stupidity, but that’s almost any political page these days. Well, except for this one. I’m not political. I’m just right. Now let’s do the Q&A thing and I’ll share some of my “opposing views”.
A recent Fox News poll found that Bernie Sanders is the most popular politician in America. Do you support him?
Bernie is a 40 year career politician who has never held a real job in his entire life. And even as a Senator, he’s been a failure, only writing and passing three whole bills in his entire Senate career. He’s a hypocrite and self-identified socialist who hasn’t got a clue how to govern except for give, give and give (other people’s money) and don’t worry about the consequences. That’s for someone else to figure out. I’d be popular too if I blamed everyone else for everything and tried to give away freebies to everyone so no one has to accept any personal responsibility. Unfortunately, that’s not how real life works and Sanders is a total fraud and idiot for not realizing that.
Would you vote for Michelle Obama if she ever ran for president?
Nope because quite simply, she’s not anywhere near qualified. At least Barack was a Senator for a few years first, although he never showed up for work during his term in office. At least he did something first before running for President. Michelle has never held any kind of job of any real importance, except for being a lawyer, but her license to practice law was suspended so that tells us how successful that job was for her. Michelle isn’t qualified to be the local dog catcher, much less President of the United States. So would I vote for her? Not only no, but hell no.
Agree or Disagree: A Voter ID should be required to vote.
Agree. A valid ID is required to purchase alcohol, purchase tobacco, buy a gun, join the military, enter a Federal building, cash a check, use a credit card, buy a plane ticket, buy a train ticket, open a bank account, open any kind of credit account, pawn something, etc. It seems the only thing a valid ID is not required for is to cast a vote to determine our political leaders. Does that seem right to you? Me neither.
Recent polling finds that the majority of Americans wish Obama was still president. Do you?
Not at all. Do you think that the people of Texas, suffering from Harvey, would be getting the aid and help they’re getting as quickly if Obama was still President? Not at all if past performance was any indication. Since Obama left the White House and President Trump took over, the stock market has improved, the unemployment rate has dropped considerably, the economy is clearly on the upswing and illegal immigration is down. Would any of this have happened if Obama was still in the White House, lying to us about Obamacare and leading from behind? I don’t think so.
Obama says racism clearly impacted how many people viewed him as president. Do you think he’s right or wrong about that?
Where some people are concerned, Obama is right about that. There are some people out there who clearly didn’t like Obama mainly because of the color of his skin. No one can deny that. But I think the majority of his non-fans didn’t like Obama because of his bad policies, poor leadership skills and the way that he constantly seemed to be ashamed of our country. While there are plenty of racists out there to be sure, Obama can’t blame it all on them, even though he’ll try. He was a bad President with bad policies and that’s where most of the dislike for the former President came from.
Hillary Clinton has been through more adversity than almost any public figure in recent decades, but she never stops fighting. Do you admire her?
I have no use at all for Mrs. Clinton. She has brought that adversity upon herself with her own actions, attitude and criminal acts. She’s a habitual liar and total piece of crap in my opinion. I have plenty of thoughts and feelings about Mrs. Clinton, but “admiration” isn’t one of them.
Do you think Americans should be proud to have Trump in the White House?
As I’ve said before, Trump wasn’t my first choice or even my 14th or 15th choice to be President, but he’s growing into the job and doing far better than I expected. The economy is on the upswing and our standing in the world community is stronger than it’s been in nearly a decade. He’s doing exactly what he promised during the elections and while I think he should probably stay away from Twitter, he’s been doing a good job. America should be proud of our President and the leader of the free world because he is truly that, a leader, something America has been lacking for a long, long time.
Are you for or against the Trump Administration’s decision to end Obama’s DACA program?
Obama’s DACA program was illegal and unconstitutional. Even Obama admitted that as he signed it into law, as a temporary measure using an executive order. Trump has not so much ended the program yet, but has set the wheels in motion for any law regarding the program and the so-called “Dreamers” to be put into place by Congress, the way it’s supposed to be. Whether DACA survives in some form is now up to the Congress and in their hands. It’s not dead yet, but the responsibility is now where it’s supposed to be. And what happens next is up to Congress.
YES or NO: Will Donald Trump remain President for all 4 years?
Trump is too stubborn and too much of a fighter to quit so unless some nutcase tries to kill him or else there is a medical issue, I think Trump will be our President for the rest of his term and most likely the four years that follow as well. One can only hope.
The President’s children are ALWAYS off limits. Agree or Disagree?
Agree: So long as the kids are kids and not involved in policy, I definitely agree. Once they become adults, then it changes a bit. If they choose to become political and act as representatives of their parents, then they’ve entered the game and are targets. If they stay out of politics and have private lives instead, then they remain off limits. For example, the Trump’s son, Barron, is off limits. The older kids, who act as surrogates for their father, are fair game. The Obama girls are off limits. Chelsea Clinton, by working for her Mom’s Presidential campaign, would not be.
And here is where I end this. Comments, thoughts and all feedback is welcome. Thank you for reading. Let me know what you think. Told you I was right… lol. Until the next time, I’m out of here. Take it easy, my friends.
