I don’t have much time as I need to be getting ready for work, but I’ll always make the time for the King of Sports and my loyal readers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s go.

The main event for the debut edition of Collision has been announced as CM Punk & FTR versus Jay White, Juice Robinson & Samoa Joe. Thoughts?

While there is a history between Joe & Punk, they haven’t been in the ring together in well over a decade so where’s the build? I understand FTR and Punk teaming, but is there any history at all with Joe and White/Juice? This will probably be a good match, but there’s no build, no history, and no reason except for fantasy booking by Tony Khan and to be honest, except for seeing Punk return to AEW, there’s no reason to be excited or watch. A Punk “pipe-bomb” promo with a rebuttal by Jericho or Omega would be much more worth anticipating and watching.

The Iron Sheik passed away. Thoughts?

This is a sad moment for pro wrestling. The Iron Sheik, former WWF Champion, was a great wrestler and as unique a character as you’ll ever find. I had the chance to see him in the early 80s when he wrestled for Crockett, and he was a walking suplex machine. He was the heel that everyone loved to hate. And later, as the body started to fail, he reinvented himself and became the shoot-interview and social media presence that dwarfed all others. Truly one of the all-time greats. Rest in Peace, Iron Sheik. You will be missed.

Matt Hardy recently spoke about wanting to do a Cinematic Match with the Hardys versus The Young Bucks. Thoughts?

It would be fun to see and even though the Hardys aren’t nearly what they used to be, the Bucks are still never-weres so with the Cinematic effects, they can meet in the middle and be entertaining. Book it, AEW.

Dr. Britt Baker DDS versus Lisa Moretti (Ivory). Who wins?

My money will always be on the former GLOW Champion and multiple-time WWE Women’s Champion. She’s the real deal. Ivory wins.

Bron Breakker issued a challenge to Seth Rollins for a title match for the WWE World Championship next week on NXT. Thoughts?

I like this because it gives NXT and Bron some good exposure, while also making Seth look like a fighting champion who will truly take on all challenges, regardless of who they are. And Breakker versus Rollins should be a damn good match. It’s a win for everyone involved.

Booker T recently invited Ryback to be on his podcast, but when Ryback insisted that the show be live, Booker rescinded the invite. Now they’re going back and forth on Twitter. Thoughts?

Booker gave the invite, but Ryback doesn’t want anyone to be able to censor him. So he called Booker out and Booker said no way. Then Ryback responded that Booker is a coward and doesn’t want to offend his WWE bosses, so now he’s invited Booker to be on his show to have a discussion. I didn’t even know that Ryback had a podcast. Maybe I just didn’t care. Yeah, that’s more likely. As much as I don’t like Ryback, he would mop the floor with Booker in a discussion about the WWE and how they do things. I don’t blame Booker for rescinding his invitation to Ryback about appearing on his podcast. It would be a bad day for Booker and I think he realized that.

Dana Brook has been moved to NXT from the WWE main roster. Thoughts?

It gives Dana a chance to repackage her character a bit while also giving NXT some name power and someone familiar with the main roster’s way of doing things to help the NXT talent train and improve. It’s a win-win for all involved.

Shane McMahon versus Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 40. How would you book this match?

This match wouldn’t need much booking or building. Hogan and Shane are both too big to worry about any complicated storyline. To build the match, Hogan appears on WWE TV for some reason and cuts a promo. Shane comes out and says he has an idea. Hogan is a legend, but what about fighting a real legend, Shane McMahon? All Shane has to do is make a challenge and considering who the two names are, that’s all that’s needed. As for the match, Hogan can’t do much, but Shane attacks, a beatdown of sorts with punches and kicks, and Hogan blocks a punch and hulks up. Punches and a slam if possible and Hogan wins. There you go.

Brian Pillman & Steve Austin versus HBK & Triple H. Who wins?

DX is a good team, but there is no way I’m betting against the Hollywood Blondes team of Austin and Pillman. They were one of the best and most underrated teams of their era. Austin and Pillman would win.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And now, off to work. Take care and have a great day. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
