Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Powerhouse Hobbs, Miro, Demolition & More

Happy Birthday to me. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
How would you book Powerhouse Hobbs?
I’ve heard that Arn Anderson has a legit interest in helping out and working with Hobbs, so I’d take advantage of that. Have Arn work as his manager. Have Hobbs work some squash matches and build towards title opportunities, and then give him a solid run as the TNT or International Champion as he develops and builds his character and brand.
Do you think Miro needs Lana?
No, I do not. Miro, when allowed to be on TV regularly to develop and grow his character and build some momentum, does quite fine on his own.
First, it was Lacey Evans and the Marine character and now John Cena shows up at MITB wearing GI Joe-themed clothes. Is WWE trying to steal all of Sgt. Slaughter’s gimmicks or what?
I’m sure Slaughter thinks so. How dare WWE allow Evans to play a Marine when she was a Marine? And now John Cena, the biggest star of WWE’s past fifteen years, is wearing a shirt and hat with a GI Joe theme, another Slaughter trademark. WWE just wants to destroy and discredit everything Slaughter. That’s all it is. Consider it payback for turning on his country and joining the Iron Sheik in 1990.
Wrestlemania in London? Thoughts?
If this isn’t a direct shot at AEW and their upcoming Wembley Stadium event, I don’t know what is. But that being said, I’d love to see this happen at some point and now that WWE made such a big deal of having Cena “speculate” about it in the middle of a big event, I’m sure that it will, probably be within the next three or so years. It will be epic.
When Demolition finally gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, should Crush (Brian Adams) be inducted alongside Ax & Smash (Bill Eadie & Barry Darsow) or should it just be those two?
I was a big fan of Brian Adams and he was an amazing guy. I can see the argument for both sides for Adams being part of the Hall of Fame, along with Eadie and Darsow when they’re eventually inducted. It’d be a nice gesture and I’m sure that both Eadie and Darsow would agree. I would say yes.
So what was the better show? AEW/New Japan Forbidden Door or WWE Money In The Bank? Why?
I have to go with WWE Money In The Bank because all the matches made sense and told a story. The show had a good flow and never got boring or predictable. And it had structure and order, something the AEW/New Japan event was majorly lacking.
Thoughts on Damian Priest winning the Men’s Money In The Bank match? Right call or not?
I think it was absolutely the right call. Priest has really been hot and on the ball over the past year and he’s ready and deserves it. I know some will argue that it should have been LA Knight’s moment, but his time is coming. As Triple H said in the post-Money In The Bank news conference, people just need to be patient.
So Shayna Baszler turned on partner Ronda Rousey. Thoughts?
From what I’ve read, this is all supposedly Rousey’s idea and she wants to have a run with her real-life friend, Baszler before her time in WWE ends. This is a logical match that makes sense and I’ve been wanting to see it for a couple of years and now, we finally will. I’m excited.
Should MJF beat CM Punk cleanly to clear up the AEW title situation?
Eventually, they’ll have to wrestle or do something to clear up who is the real champion. I’m not sure if I’d have MJF win or not, but considering how good their first feud was, I’d love to see it happen again. Book it, Tony Khan.
Jimmy, Johnny, and Jerry Valiant w/ Captain Lou Albano versus Jimmy & Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa w/ Paul Heyman. Who wins?
As much as I loved the Valiant Brothers and Captain Lou, this would be a big win for The Bloodline and Paul Heyman. It’d be a fun match and a great clash of eras and styles, but the combination that comes out on top would never be in any doubt.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to share and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
