Wrestling is not fake. It’s fixed! And we’re ready to talk all about it for a few minutes. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s go.
It looks as if Logan Paul and Ricochet will be doing something together as a result of the MITB match. Good idea or nay?
I like this. It gives WWE a chance to use Paul in a prominent position, which will draw eyes to the product, generate publicity from the media, and help Paul continue to grow as a performer and wrestling talent. It also gives a rub to Ricochet, giving him more of the spotlight to build upon and develop as a character. It’s a win-win for all involved.
So, Finn beats Seth for the title. Priest comes in to congratulate his Judgement Day partner, but Finn is paranoid & pushes Priest away, walking off. Then World Champion & Senor MITB co-exist in Judgement Day as the tension builds. Should WWE do this at SummerSlam?
This would be a great way to build more of an audience for The Judgement Day and develop all of the characters involved. It’s a story that has depth and, much like the Bloodline story, could be built on and take the fans on a weekly ride wondering if will Priest turn on Finn and go after the title. Can Finn trust Priest or Dom/Rhea for that matter? Whose side is Dom & Rhea on if a split does occur? The Judgement Day has been on fire as of late and a storyline, such as this, would just add fuel and stroke the flames even higher. It would be awesome.
Sting, Lex Luger & The Road Warriors versus The Bloodline (Roman, The Usos, Solo) in War Games. Who wins?
Forget the match inside the cage. I just want to see Paul Ellering and Paul Heyman go at it on the floor outside of the double-ring structure. That would be hilarious. And as for the match itself, by its very nature, the faces win 98% of the time. Sting, Lex, and The Road Warriors would win.
Thoughts on Hotstuff Eddie Gilbert?
A talented wrestler who was married for a time to a very hot Missy Hyatt. When I think of Gilbert though, it’s not his wrestling matches that come to mind, but his great mind for the business and creativity, helping Paul Heyman to create the entity that would become ECW. He was underrated as a wrestler, and very underrated as a booker for Puerto Rico and ECW. A talented and intelligent man who was only allowed to show us just a fraction of what he was capable of.
Jon Moxley wrestled for New Japan on July 4th in Tokyo and the match finish involved Moxley getting several wooden skewers stabbed into the top of his head and eventually looking like a bloody rooster with the skewers poking out of the top of his head. I know Moxley loves to bleed, but is this too much? Has he gone too far?
Moxley has issues. And yes, the skewers in the head are going way too far in my opinion. The constant blood is bad enough. It’s not 1983 anymore and as much as he may wish otherwise, Moxley is not Dusty Rhodes or Abdullah the Butcher. Someone, either his wife Renee or Tony Khan needs to step in and talk to this clown. He needs professional help.
The speculation is that Ronda Rousey will soon be leaving WWE and heading back to the UFC for one more run. Thoughts?
I’ve heard this and truthfully, it’s time. Her run in WWE has been okay, but she’s gone from being special and a superstar to now, just another wrestler. She needs to get her mojo back and what better way than going back to doing what made her special in the first place? I expect Ronda will go to UFC, get her fire back and kick some ass, and then eventually do a few shots with WWE again before calling it a day. And that works quite well for me.
Jade Cargill recently claimed that AEW didn’t make her famous and also that she is the one responsible for bringing Shaq into the company. Thoughts?
Maybe she was famous with a small group of people, but it was her time in AEW that exposed her to an international television audience and increased her name value and celebrity, regardless of what she may be saying and thinking. As for Shaq, he’s been coming in and out of wrestling for over twenty years and that has absolutely nothing to do with anything Jade has said or done. She’s either delusional or just full of crap. Either/or…
Kevin Nash recently stated that LA Knight is just ripping off the Rock’s gimmick. Thoughts?
To a point, yes, but then again, how many truly original wrestlers are there? Flair copied Buddy Rogers. Hogan copied Superstar Graham. Dusty copied Thunderbolt Patterson. That’s the nature of the business, emulating your heroes and the things that have worked in the past. Take them, adapt them to your character and modern times, and become a star. Nash is just talking to make waves and get some hits for his podcast. Nothing more because it’s not a big deal.
So which AEW star is going to kidnap MJF’s cat to get a title shot?
Sammy Guevera. Since he has two cats of his own and his cats and MJF’s cat have already had “playdates”, as shown on Sammy’s VLOG, MJF will allow his cat to visit Sammy & Tay’s cats, but they’ll refuse to return him until Sammy gets a one-on-one title shot. The story writes itself and we get a true, legit cat-fight for the AEW World Title. And there you go.
Of all the wrestlers who have been, or still are, part of the AEW roster, who has been done the dirtiest by the company?
The way that Miro’s career has been handled since his arrival at AEW has been atrocious. Scorpio Sky has major reasons to complain as well. Look at what they’ve done to Wardlow. He went from the biggest new thing to, “Who?”, in record time. Many on the roster have reason to complain, but those are the first three that come to mind.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for Moxley or he’ll try and bleed on you. I’ll see you at the matches.
