Once upon a time, there was a man named Casper who lived on Twitter and asked lots of great questions. He asked and I would answer, thus Questions By Casper was born. But then one day, he vanished and I had to find another source for my Q&As. Well, Twitter stepped up and now provides me with lots of random questions. It’s not Casper anymore, but it’s still lots of great fun. Now it’s Questions (Not) By Casper. And it all starts right now. Let’s go.
Do you prefer being warmed when you’re too cold or being cooled when you’re too hot?
I’m old and fat. I can’t do heat very well, so cool me off, please. And thank you!
Name three items I would find in your junk drawer.
Batteries, tape, and candles/matches.
What’s a song by Linda Ronstadt that you really like?
I can’t think of a solo by Linda Ronstadt, but I remember this song by her, Dolly Parton, and Emmylou Harris. It counts, right?
Racist speech is protected by the First Amendment. Agree or disagree?
Yes, I would say it is. We don’t have to like it, but bigots have the right to speak too.
What’s a wrestling moment that always makes you smile?
When R-Truth declared himself for the Royal Rumble, found out that Brock Lesnar was in the match, and then undeclared himself from the match. A WWE classic.
What’s hard for you to resist ordering if you see it on a restaurant menu?
It’s not so much a menu item, but at a Chinese buffet, I’m loading up on the Sweet & Sour Chicken and the Egg Rolls. Other stuff too because I love me some Chinese food, but those two are the must-haves.
Question – how old would your child need to be for you to confidently leave them alone for a few hours or overnight?
I was staying by myself for a few hours at a time when I was 8-9 years old and alone overnight when I was 14-15, but it was a different world then and not nearly as crazy as things have gotten now. For being alone for a few hours, I’d say 11-12, depending on the kid and how mature and responsible they are. For being alone overnight, I’d go with 15-16, again depending on how mature and responsible the child is.
What is 1 thing that is destroying the world as we know it?
Mass Stupidity.
What is the best subject in school?
For me, it was history. I was a big nerd when it came to learning about our country and the past. I was also big with math and English. Like I said, I was a nerd.
What is your favorite video game of all time?
Ms. Pac-Man. I had all the patterns memorized and could play on one quarter for hours.
If you could visit any country right now, where would you jet off to?
This world is so crazy and insane now, I’d honestly be scared to leave the United States and go anywhere else to visit. But if I knew I could avoid the crazies and have a good vacation, I think I’d go to Greece. I’ve always enjoyed mythology and to see those temples and historic places, that would be amazing.
What is the BEST DECADE of music EVER?
From 1975-1985. We had the 70s winding down and the big concert era ending, while MTV was just starting and there was so much original and good music happening. It was a great time to be a music lover.
What’s better than coffee in the morning?
A cold Mt. Dew Zero or morning sex with a hot young football player from the College. Either one works for me.
Why is tipping proportional to the bill? Is there extra work in making a $60 steak over a $20 steak at the same restaurant?
I understand why tipping is considered so important, but I really don’t get how we determine what is the appropriate amount to tip. I guess the bigger the meal, the more work is involved, and thus, a bigger tip is given. Works for me.
Do you need coffee in the morning to function?
No, I do not. I never drink… coffee.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, questions, and dirty jokes are welcome and appreciated. And with that, take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for flying pigs and I’ll see you at the soda fountain. Take care.
