Laying the smackdown on all of the other wrestling Q&As, it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A, where we keep it real with every answer to every question asked. Are you ready? Let’s go.
Ole & Gene Anderson versus Jack & Gerald Brisco. Who wins?
The Anderson Brothers and the Brisco Brothers wrestled many times during the late seventies and the matches went both ways, with both teams picking up victories. And if I’m the one making the call, this one would go to the Minnesota Wrecking Crew, The Anderson Brothers.
Court Bauer has brought boxing promoter Don King into MLW. Thoughts?
Honestly, I thought he was dead. I guess all the money that King stole from Mike Tyson and other boxers that he “represented” in the 80s as a promoter has finally run out and he’s desperate for some dollars. Either that or his ego can’t take being out of the spotlight for so long. If I was Bauer, I’d watch King like a hawk and be careful how they use him. He’s a reprehensible and crooked piece of garbage and would have been better off left alone and forgotten.
The word is that CM Punk pitched himself as the 5th Member of the BCC for their upcoming match against The Elite for AEW Blood & Guts. Thoughts?
I would love to see this happen. It would be a great business move by AEW and would allow Punk and The Elite to finally move forward with the feud that everyone is wanting to see happen. I can’t imagine The Bucks going along with this idea, but maybe they’ll grow a set and it will happen. One can only hope.
Jade Cargill is not expected to return to AEW anytime soon. Do you think she’ll show up in WWE? And if so, who would you like to see her wrestle against?
I’m not sure how long her contract for AEW is, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see her attempt to work out a deal with WWE if it could happen. Jade is a big mark for herself and I’m sure that she’d love to get a chance to wrestle for the biggest company if possible. I don’t think she’d be happy once she gets there and has to grow, develop her skills, and work actual matches against women who are not going to be squashed and will make her work for her victories. As for who to wrestle, I’d like to see her against Asuka, Charlotte, and Bayley. Let the veterans take her to school.
I just saw where Miz has not won a match yet in WWE in 2023. Do you think he’ll ever be a champion again in WWE?
As of last night, with a victory over Tomasso Ciampa on RAW, The Miz claimed his first win of this year, so the streak is over. As for being a champion again, Miz is one of those guys who can lose every match, but will still be a top guy and top contender. He can work any position on the card and he’ll still get over with the audience and management. A champion again? I’m sure that he will.
Thoughts and opinions on 8X NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Harley Race.
A legend, an icon, the greatest NWA World Champion of all time, and the toughest man on God’s green earth. ‘Nuff said!
Thoughts and opinions on US Express (Mike Rotundo & Barry Windham w/ Captain Lou Albano)?
A good and talented team, but honestly, I wasn’t a fan of them as a team during the US Express era. That’s a bit ironic because I loved both men as singles wrestlers and their manager, Captain Lou Albano, was always a favorite as well. I just didn’t much care for Barry or Lou as babyfaces. I would have loved to see this team working as heels. That would have been much better in my opinion, but that’s probably because of how well both men performed as heels later in their careers, with Windham as a Horseman and Rotundo as Irwin R. Schyster. I liked all three men, but this run did nothing for me.
Once he wraps up his in-ring days, should CM Punk become a manager? He could be the next Paul Heyman in my opinion.
A ring full of CM Punk guys, all led by Mr. Straight Edge himself, with the killer promos to get his people over? That sounds good to me.
So what if the SummerSlam match with Roman Reigns versus Jey Uso for the Undisputed Championship ends up with a reenactment of the Finger Poke of Doom spot? Thoughts?
I don’t think WWE would go that route, but to be honest, I would pop big time if that happened. Just imagine the reactions from the fans and on the internet. It would be epic. Of course, immediately after the “win” by Roman, someone, possibly Cody Rhodes, would have to come out and make a challenge to protest the travesty. Have Roman balk and Adam Pearce make it official that Roman either wrestles or is stripped of the titles and then we get Roman/Cody II as a main event instead. Okay, I just realized that Cody will be wrestling Brock that night in a Rubber Match, so Cody is already beaten down and battered when he makes the challenge. Then Roman can win the match. The Bloodline is reunited. And the story continues in epic soap opera fashion. I’d love to see it happen like that.
Do you think AEW should bring back Marko Stunt to “talk sense” into former partners Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus to get away from the evil influence of Christian Cage and bring back the Jurassic Express?
Bring back Marko for a one-shot to talk sense into his friends and take a beating. That sounds like great television to me. Book it, Tony Khan.
Why is Tamina still on the roster?
Because she’s a solid worker, related to The Rock, and doesn’t cause problems or make waves. Tamina isn’t the best worker in the Women’s division, but she does have a name that people recognize (Snuka) and a good presence in that ring. She’s strong and can be used to elevate the other women, plus she’s a person who can be penciled in for almost any position in the women’s division. I think her career mainly boils down to who her relatives are, but she’s reliable and a good person to keep around, so WWE does.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
