Orange Cassidy, Omos, Cornette vs Hardy & More

You have questions and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Who do you think is going to end Orange Cassidy’s title reign?
I would love to see CM Punk be the one to get a title, be at the top of the card, and still allow MJF to continue his run as Champion for now, building to an eventual clash. But I doubt that will happen, so if not Punk, how about Jungle Boy Jack Perry, to kind of add an exclamation point to his recent heel turn?
What should be the stipulation for the eventual Ronda Rousey vs Shayna Baszler match?
Since it’s allegedly Rousey’s last match for WWE, for a while anyhow, I’d go with the classic Loser Leaves The WWE match, which will give Baszler some great bragging points if she wins, claiming to have “retired” Rousey, plus when Rousey does her eventual return, it gives her a reason to come back and see revenge. It’s a stipulation that would work well with these two ladies.
Which Judgement Day member has benefitted most from the faction?
It has worked well for everyone to be honest, but Dominik has probably benefitted the most. He’s gone from Rey’s son to being the biggest heel in wrestling, and a large part of that is the interaction with Rhea. Definitely Dirty Dom.
The Matt Hardy versus Jim Cornette/Brian Last Twitter feud. Thoughts?
If you don’t know what this is, recently Matt Hardy did a tweet defending The Young Bucks and made the mistake of tagging Cornette and cohost Brian Last in the Tweet. Well, Corny and Last responded and it went downhill from there, for several hours on Sunday night. And to be honest, Matt should leave the argumentive tweeting to wife Reby because Cornette and then Last took him to school, literally. It’s not a pretty sight. But it will make for some great podcasts for later this week for both Hardy and Cornette. I’m eagerly looking forward to that.
The Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine) versus Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. Who wins?
I think I’d have to go with KO and Zayn on this one. Valentine is a legend and Beefcake wasn’t totally terrible during this phase in his career, but KO and Sami are just a better team in my opinion, and would take the win in this match.
Thoughts on Tony Atlas?
Tony was a decent wrestler and had a good career, but I can’t stand listening to him talk. As Dutch Mantell recently said, Tony tends to “embellish things” quite a bit and the lies are so blatantly obvious, it’s hard to listen to. I respect everything he’s accomplished over the years, but I’ll never be a big Tony Atlas fan.
Fuego Del Sol recently announced that he’s opening a wrestling school. Thoughts?
Fuego is a decent wrestler and I do not doubt that he has much to teach and help with up-and-coming talents, but a Feugo wrestling school? I don’t know the details about this and if he’s planning on having partners, or what, but I hope so. Fuego as the entertainer, he’s great. As a teacher? For that, the jury is still out and we’ll have to see how it goes.
Rumors are that Omos will soon be returning to WWE television as Logan Paul’s bodyguard. Thoughts?
That would be a good spot for Omos. It would give him time on TV to grow his character and get heat, getting the rub from Logan Paul, but wouldn’t overexpose him too much. It seems as if his association with MVP might be ending as rumors continue to persist about MVP getting back together with Lashley, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin to bring back The Hurt Business, so being the muscle behind a heel Logan Paul? That works for me.
Seriously who the fuck is Blue Kane?
I’ve seen his name mentioned a few times by Matt Cardona, but aside from that, I have no idea who this clown is. He’s a guy who dresses like Kane, but in blue instead of red, and is making news by taking shots at Glenn Jacobs, aka The Real Kane. Also, instead of using fire, as Kane often did, this Blue Kane clown claims he has “snow powers”. He’s just a guy trying to make a reputation off the career of another guy, nothing more. Hey Kevin Nash, instead of trashing LA Knight for his emulation of The Rock, why not talk about this guy instead? Give him the wrath of the Mighty Oz instead of going after a guy who’s actually worked hard and paid his dues.
Rhea Ripley versus Madusa (in her prime). Who wins?
This one could be a real slobber knocker because both women are sound wrestlers with great characters and similar styles in the ring. Madusa was a legit kick-ass woman and arguably the best female wrestler of her era. Rhea is making her mark and building a legacy of her own and getting better every time she gets into that ring. This match would rock. And I think Rhea would take the win.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Stay good and watch out for foreign objects. I’ll see you at the matches.
