Impact Wrestling will present the 2023 Slammiversary PPV Saturday night from Windsor, Ontario. And of course, that means it’s prediction time. Let’s just cut out the small talk and get busy. Let’s do this.

Impact Wrestling Champion Alex Shelley vs. Nick Aldis.

Alex Shelley has been the champion for just over a month and it’s been a nice piece of nostalgia, but I don’t think it’s destined to last. Aldis is a former NWA World Champion and while I haven’t heard of him signing a long-term deal with Impact as of yet, I can’t see him going in this match to lose. Look for a new Impact Wrestling World Champion.

Winner and NEW Impact Wrestling World Champion: Nick Aldis.

Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo vs. Trinity.

Trinity is the former WWE star and a new flavor of the week for Impact Wrestling. I can’t see her losing here in her first title shot during her Impact Career. The big money would be to draw it out and build this feud, but I think Impact will pull the trigger pretty quickly.

Winner and NEW Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion: Trinity.

Bully Ray & Deaner (replacing the injured Steve Maclin) vs. PCO & Scott D’Amore with special enforcer NHL legend Darren McCarthy.

An authority figure who used to be a manager and his partner against two of the top stars of the company. D’Amore is going through a table on Saturday night.

Winners: Bully Ray & Deaner

Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions ABC vs. Moose and Brian Myers vs. Sami Callihan and Rich Swann vs. Subculture.

A four-team match is a great way to get the belts off the champions without having them lose the titles. I think that’s what we’ll be seeing here. I think Sami Callihan & Rich Swann will be walking out as the new tag team champions.

Winners and NEW Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions: Sami Callihan & Rich Swann.

X-Division Champion Chris Sabin vs. Lio Rush.

Lio Rush is a talented wrestler and exciting to watch, but his history of walking out of companies, getting “injured” and making waves seems to make me feel that Impact won’t take a chance of putting a strap on him just yet. He’ll have to prove he’s grown up from past actions and is worth taking a chance on. Sabin retains his title.

Winner and STILL X-Division Champion: Chris Sabin

Ultimate X: Jonathan Gresham vs. Mike Bailey vs. Angels vs. Kevin Knight vs. New Japan Pro Wrestling’s KUSHIDA.

Of the men involved, the favorite has to be Mike Bailey, although the same can be said for Jonathan Gresham as well. KUSHIDA will bring some eyes to the product and this will be a damn good match. And the winner? Well, they just gave him his first name back and I think a victory to go along with being able to use the full name sounds like a good idea. Alan Angels is winning here.

Winner: Alan Angels

Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions The Coven vs. Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly.

The belts are staying right where they are with KiLynn King & Taylor Wilde, aka The Coven.

Winners and STILL Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions: The Coven.

Santino Marella vs. Dirty Dango.

Santino versus the former Fandango is going to be a fun, comedy match. We may get a few serious moments because both men are good wrestlers and far better than they’re given credit for, but the laughs will rule the day for this match. And Dirty Dango will fall prey to the bite of The Cobra.

Winner: Santino Marella

Frankie Kazarian with Traci Brooks vs. Eddie Edwards with Alesha Edwards.

Eddie Edwards is a helluva good wrestler and always seems to be right on the verge of breaking out, but never quite seems to get there. Kazarian is slightly past his prime in my opinion, but he’s a trusted name and Impact Wrestling is happy to have him as part of their roster. Where did Traci Brooks come from? I thought she had left the business a few years ago. Oh well, I guess I was wrong. Look for Frankie K to take the win here.

Winner: Frankie Kazarian w/ Traci Brooks.

Impact Wrestling Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry vs. Kenny King.

Joe Hendry is a talented guy who I expect to see doing many things for Impact in the years to come and he’ll be a name in either WWE or AEW at some point as well. I don’t see him losing the title here.

Winner and STILL Impact Wrestling Digital Media Champion: Joe Hendry.

The Death Dollz & Jody Threat vs. Savannah Evans & Gisele Shaw & Jai Vidal.

I don’t think that Gisele Shaw is allowed to lose right now ever since having her feelings hurt by Rick Steiner a few months ago. She might get her feelings hurt. Look for Shaw, Evans, and Vidal to take home the win here.

Winners: Savannah Evans, Gisele Shaw & Jai Vidal

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Impact Wrestling is often overlooked, but they have some great wrestling and tell some good stories and I have no doubts that Slammiversary will be an excellent show as well. So what about my predictions? Am I right? Am I full of crap? Let me know, your comments, thoughts, and any questions. And with that, I’m wrapping things up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll catch you on the flip side.
