Once upon a time, there was a man named Casper who lived on Twitter and asked lots of great questions. He asked and I would answer, thus Questions By Casper was born. But then one day, he vanished and I had to find another source for my Q&As. Well, Twitter stepped up and now provides me with lots of random questions. It’s not Casper anymore, but it’s still lots of great fun. Now it’s Questions (Not) By Casper. And it all starts right now. Let’s go.

Would you allow your significant other to go through your phone?

I would. I have nothing to hide, as anyone who regularly reads this website can attest. And in my relationships, I’m the same way. What you see is what you get and that includes the sick, demented, warped stuff.

Name a book that should be read by every 9th grader nationwide.

How about the Bible? Everyone, regardless of age or beliefs, should read it at least once.

When was the last time you’ve seen a globe?

I’m not sure. I know it’s been at least twenty years, but probably longer than that. It’s sad though because I always thought they were pretty cool.

Who is the greatest General Manager of all time?

In my personal life experience, I’ll go with the General Manager of the Scotland County ABC Store, Mr. William Graves. He knows his stuff and he’s a great boss-man. What more could you want?

Have you ever read Ulysses by James Joyce?

I have read the story, Ulysses, but I can’t remember if it was the version written by James Joyce or not, but I have read the story.

What’s your favorite piece of American classic literature?

Let’s go with the classics, Tom Sawyer and its companion piece, Huckleberry Finn.

Name a singer with an instantly recognizable voice.

The first name that comes to mind is Willie Nelson. There is only one and when Willie is singing, you know it’s Willie Nelson.

You walk up to a refrigerator and your ice maker options are cubed or crushed. Which are you going for?

I liked the crushed ice. It will always be my preference.

What song do you consider “perfect”?

This classic was written by the late Lou Reed. For me, Perfect Day is the perfect song. ‘Nuff said!

If Live Aid was going to happen now, who would you want to see up there on that stage?

The old legends The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel, Cyndi Lauper, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Then add Alice Cooper, Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Aerosmith, Rob Zombie, Struggle Jennings, Yelawolf, Jelly Roll, and Dennis Locorriere (from Doctor Hook) to the show as well.

What was the weirdest place you have bumped into a friend?

At work when I was staying in Wilmington, NC. I was managing a Dairy Mart and in walked a former State Trooper that I knew from here in Laurinburg. I won’t say we were friends, but I did know him and did not know that he was now living in Wilmington, just a few blocks from where my store was located. It was creepy.

Do you think it’s possible that the “elite” completely faked the pandemic, and forced us to wear masks, with a diabolical plan of getting us all vaccinated as a means of population control?

Yes!

Is being consistently late for work grounds to fire someone?

Yes!

Is using the term “colored people” a racist slur?

Why would “colored people” be racist when “people of color” is accepted? They’re the same thing. And if it is a racist slur, then the NAACP, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People” needs to change its name. But then again, that is one of the most racist organizations in the world today so maybe it is racist? Hmmm! Well, I don’t think it is.

Phone Call or Text?

Text. I hate a damn phone.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the barbershop.

Ubuntu!
