Once upon a time, there was a man named Casper who lived on Twitter and asked lots of great questions. He asked and I would answer, thus Questions By Casper was born. But then one day, he vanished and I had to find another source for my Q&As. Well, Twitter stepped up and now provides me with lots of random questions. It’s not Casper anymore, but it’s still lots of great fun. Now it’s Questions (Not) By Casper. And it all starts right now. Let’s go.

Out of the infamous “ 27 Club” – who do you think is the most influential of all in that sad, very talented club?

It’s a tough call because when you look at names, like Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, and Robert Johnson, just to name but a few. And the most influential, the biggest loss, is Kurt Cobain. I had to say Kurt or my bro would whip my ass, bot to be honest, I would have said Kurt anyway. He was definitely gone way too soon.

Name a movie or video game you remember renting from Blockbuster.

It wasn’t Blockbuster because this is a small town and we didn’t have any big stores, but a video from Doug’s Video I rented several times would be Faces of Death. Remember those?

Do you like guacamole with your chips?

No, I don’t. The taste isn’t bad, but I can’t get past how it looks. Nasty!

Just curious. What’s something you’re looking forward to?

The day that my bonds are finally cut and I can find a path to freedom and happiness.

Sunrise or Sunset?

Few things are more beautiful than a sunrise.

Who was better? A-Rod or Reggie Jackson?

Alex Rodriguez is an amazing and talented baseball player, but did he ever have a candy bar named after him? No, I don’t think so, but Reggie did. Reggie also played a failed Royal Assassin in the Naked Gun movies. That last part alone makes him the better man.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve found out in nature?

If you feed one stray cat one time, the next night you’ll be feeding fourteen cats, a raccoon, two possums, and a homeless guy from Louisiana.

Bacon isn’t available. What is the greatest breakfast food of all time?

Eggs. Bacon, sausage, grits, hash, etc., are just the side dishes. Eggs are the main attraction.

What mystery do you think the government has the answer to even though they tell us nada?

Communication with alien life. How to cure cancer. Cars that run on water instead of gasoline. Take your pick. The Government only shares what they want to share. It’s all about control.

What website or app has completely changed your life for better or for worse?

My website, DougMaynard.com. It has my name on it and gives me something to do every day. It’s given me a platform and a voice.

What is one thing that you do every morning?

Feed and love on the cats, clean their litterbox, and prove once again that I am a loyal and faithful, excellent cat-daddy.

What would your occupation be If you would have followed your childhood dreams?

I’ve answered this one before, but the answer remains the same. Either a wrestler, a writer, or a television weatherman.

What snack is the hardest to stop eating once it’s open?

Chips or popcorn.

Be honest, For those who don’t drink do you feel your social life suffers because of that?

I don’t drink like I used to and I’ve noticed that my “friends” that I socialize with and spend time with have dwindled a great deal as a result. I used to have a crowd. Now I only have myself. Go figure.
