Once upon a time, there was a man named Casper who lived on Twitter and asked lots of great questions. He asked and I would answer, thus Questions By Casper was born. But then one day, he vanished and I had to find another source for my Q&As. Well, Twitter stepped up and now provides me with lots of random questions. It’s not Casper anymore, but it’s still lots of great fun. Now it’s Questions (Not) By Casper. And it all starts right now. Let’s go.

Have you ever worked more than 50 hours a week?

Many, many times. I used to be a store manager for Dairy Mart and my average day was from 5:30 in the morning to 5:00 or 6:00 at night, seven days a week. This went on for a year and a half. And when I was the Assistant Manager for Nic’s Pic Kwik, I’d be scheduled for 45 hours a week and then called in on the days off to work at other stores when someone called in. I didn’t care. I liked the money. So I’d average one day off a week and that was for close to five years.

If you had to choose your spouse based on just one question, what question would you ask?

The Four Horsemen or DX? Who’s better?

When driving in a car, do you listen to music or prefer silence?

I have no radio in my truck and I prefer it that way. It’s the only time I can get any true peace.

Country or rap music?

If it’s old school country, like from before 2000, I prefer the country by far. Otherwise, I want classic rock. Rap is crap!

Why are you so nice to people?

Because I have over forty years of customer service training and experience and it automatically turns on when dealing with people in a public setting. I’m 100% totally faking it.

Who is the greatest coach of all time?

Coach Dean Smith of the UNC Basketball Team. RIP Dean Smith! Go Heels!

If you had to be locked in a room for 24 hours with only one cartoon series playing, what would you choose?

Crank up the Family Guy. Giggity!

Do you prefer a calming voice when you need to be pushed to work harder or a drill sergeant type?

A calm and quiet voice. If you yell at me and get bossy, I tend to yell back and that’s never a good thing.

What’s the better dip for nachos: cheese or salsa?

Salsa. The medium heat kind with lots of chunky goodness.

What’s a binge-worthy TV series you’re watching?

Right now, it’s OZ on HBO Max. The show is thirty years old, but I finally got around to watching it and it’s damn good. Very intense. I’m on Season Four now.

Do you think aliens built the pyramids?

That’s as good a theory as anything else. Let’s go with that one. Sure.

What’s the best milkshake you’ve ever had?

McDonald’s used to have this limited edition Artic Orange milkshake many years ago. It was good!

What did you have growing up that kids need today?

Respect for others, manners, and imagination that took me places that a computer or phone could never possibly do.

If given the opportunity, would you write a book?

Yes, I have given that some thought many times and eventually, I’ll get off my ass and it will happen.
