It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s roll.
When John Cena is inevitably inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, who should induct him?
Either Vince McMahon or Triple H are the logical choices, but I’d go with his former tag team partner and one of the few people who supported him early in his career, Kevin Sullivan. The Taskmaster would be perfect for this role.
How well has Tony Khan handled ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ค ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐’๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐ฌ in AEW?
He hasn’t handled it at all. Tony hasn’t stepped in and been a boss at all. He’s too scared to hurt anyone’s feelings and won’t insist that his employees, who he pays a tremendous amount of money, grow up and be professional. Instead, he enables confusion and chaos. Tony needs to step up and take control and address the issues, but even after all this time, has yet to do so.
It was reported that Nick Khan recently sold Endeavor on the idea of making WWE NXT a โsustainable third brandโ for the WWE when the merge with UFC happens. Thoughts?
NXT is already doing ratings comparable to AEW Dynamite, and regularly crushes Rampage and Collision in the ratings game as well, so featuring them as a third brand of WWE makes sense. They’re more successful than AEW, based on their TV numbers, so it’s an easy sell to make.
Should Dustin Rhodes become a World champion before he retires?
At this point, it would only be viewed as a pity reign and nothing else, so I would say no.
Should Chris Jericho just retire?
From active, in-ring wrestling, I would say yes. He’s still capable of some good matches, but not like he was and it would be good to go out on top. But from wrestling entirely, I would say no. He’d be a great person to have working backstage as an agent or part of creative, plus on-air as a manager or announcer. There are plenty of roles left for Jericho in professional wrestling, but active wrestler probably shouldn’t be one of them.
Ryback recently stated that “dating Linda McMahon would be the ultimate payback on Vince McMahon”. Thoughts?
Like Ryback would stand a chance with Linda Mahon. Vince and Linda are separated and Vince is dating other women so I doubt he’d care who Linda was dating. But it sure as hell wouldn’t be Ryback. He’s too much of an idiot and Linda has far better taste.
Piper Niven has been selected to be Chelsea Green’s new partner to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship titles. Thoughts?
Piper is a good choice and I’m interested in seeing how this plays out. I have no objections or arguments about this.
Lacey Evans has allegedly been released from the WWE. What’s next for Lacey? AEW or Impact Wrestling?
Most likely, I’d say AEW. Lacey is a talented woman with a strong background and WWE dropped the ball with her big time after her return from her pregnancy. AEW needs some good women wrestlers and Lacey would do well there, plus it would help the company. Lacey as All-Elite? I’d say yes.
Would you like to see a Heel, Thunder Rosa when she returns alongside Mercedes Martinez & Diamantรฉ with a NEW FACTION?
AEW doesn’t need any more factions and this one is even less appealing to me than the ones that they already have. So I’d say no to this idea.
Gunther is approaching Honky Tonk Man’s record. Would you be okay with John Cena ruining the pursuit, but finally becoming a grand slam champion before retiring?
This is Gunther’s time and no, John Cena should not be involved or interfere in any way. It would just essentially be another burial like Cena did with The Nexus back in the day and no one, especially not Gunther, deserves that.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, subscribe, and share. Thanks. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for Leatherface and his chainsaw, and I’ll see you at the matches.
