Who do you remember knocking on Doors for the Publisher’s clearing house?

I remember Ed McMahon doing a Sweepstakes thing, but it wasn’t the Publisher’s Clearinghouse. I don’t know who did that one.

Name someone who got out of jail way too early.

I remember a dude here in Laurinburg who shot a friend of mine in cold blood, but only served five years. Of course, later on, he shot another person, held his then-girlfriend hostage, and got in considerably more trouble. Scotland County justice at its very best. Corrupt as hell and we all know it.

What will you never do again?

Drink El Toro Tequila, tap dance, or blindly trust anyone.

Name a historical character that doesn’t deserve to be remembered in history.

Career criminal George Floyd. Too many people say he’s a hero when in truth, he’s the absolute farthest thing away from being so.

Which TV show character do you look like?

When I was younger and worked out and had muscles, I was often compared to a young version of Lou Ferrigno. True story. And now, I think it’d be more of a homeless and hungover version of Jack Black.

What’s a known toxin that you used around your home for way too long?

Alcohol. I guess that would qualify and I used to enjoy drinking. I still like it, but just not quite that often.

What’s the worst water you ever accidentally swallowed?

The worst I can think of is being knocked silly at the beach by a big wave and swallowing a ton of salty, ocean water. I puked quite a bit that afternoon.

Who makes the best macaroni and cheese?

The Mac and cheese from KFC is good. So is Captain D’s.

What terrified you but you did it anyway?

The first time I slept with Chris. I was scared that I would fall in love. And yes, I did. I rocked his world.

What do you say to the person who disagrees with you when you’re proven right?

Nothing at all. I just smirk a little bit and move on. No need to rub it in that they were absolutely wrong. They know.

What’s your go-to dish when family or friends come over?

If they come over, it’s bring your food. But if I’m going to their place, I’ll make baked beans, Devilled Eggs, and sometimes, Tater Tot Casserole.

Is “Stairway To Heaven” by Led Zeppelin a better song than “Gimme Shelter” by The Rolling Stones?

I love both songs and they’re both amazing, but of the two, I think I prefer Gimme Shelter a slight bit better.

What were you doing in 1990?

Working at Nic’s #1, being repressed as hell by my doubts and confusion, and drinking way too much with some amazing people.

Do you still have a house phone?

We do, but only because my Mother and Sister insist on it. If anything ever happens to Mom, it, along with the cable, will be gone and I’ll be saving nearly $300 a month that I can’t afford.
