It seems as if all I ever do these days is play catch up. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Has anyone ever seen Wheeler Yuta and Super Humman together or in the same place at the same time?
That’s a good question, but they are different people, despite the similarities. Super Humman is an idiot with mental issues, but at least he kind of has a personality. Yuta? Not quite so much. But I’m sure they’re different people. Well, at least I think they’re different people. Maybe they’re not. No, I’m sure I’ve heard Yuta speak on a couple of occasions and he does more than lay there and cry in pain. So they’re different people. Maybe.
Is Rhea Ripley the GOAT WWE Women’s Champion? At least in the conversation for the greatest WWE women’s wrestler of the last 20 years?
Rhea is impressive and a great character, as well as an in-ring performer, but she hasn’t quite established herself as the GOAT of the Women of WWE, at least not yet. Is she in the conversation? Absolutely, but she needs a few more strong matches, strong title defenses, and big moments under her belt before we begin to put her in the classification of Greatest of all time.
Who would you personally consider to be the BIGGEST name in WWE history?
Vince McMahon. Without Vince, there would never have been a WWE. And if we’re talking strictly wrestlers, Hulk Hogan. He was the man Vince built the company around when they started the expansion from a regional promotion to something bigger. Vince and Hulk laid the foundation and everything and everyone else came afterward.
How would you rate Saraya’s run in AEW so far?
Not very impressive at all. She’s had maybe 5 matches, if that, and her skills in the ring are only a fraction of what they once were. She’s a shadow of her former self and has done nothing of note since returning to the ring. I like Saraya, but without the structure and power of the WWE behind her, she’s just another girl playing wrestler. Nothing more.
If Jade Cargill does go to WWE, should she be part of The Hurt Business with Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits?
That would be an excellent fit for Jade, giving her a role with Lashley and company that is similar to what Rhea does with the Judgement Day, giving her a spotlight and necessary experience, but also surrounding her with solid talent that can help her improve and get better, but still protect her from overexposure. It makes sense.
According to the local Government, the numbers registered entering Wembley Stadium through the turnstiles for AEW All In was 72,265, and not the “paid attendance” of 81,035 that Tony Khan has been bragging about. Thoughts?
The number of people who showed up for the show and the number of people who bought tickets aren’t necessarily going to be the same. So Tony may have been talking about the number of tickets sold, 81,035, instead of actual attendance. It’s a moot point and in the overall scheme of things, it doesn’t matter. Wembley still had a lot of people and AEW drew some great numbers for the event. Too bad they can’t do the same thing in the United States, where show attendance continues to drop, but it’s a big moment for AEW and let them brag. They deserve it.
2 things. The “karate” version of Superstar Billy Graham sucked & Don Muraco should’ve won a world title. Agree or disagree?
I can’t argue with either of those statements. I had the opportunity to see Superstar Graham doing the karate persona as a member of Paul Jones’ Army and it was not a pretty sight. Graham had none of the character or persona that made him a big star showing and was just another bald guy doing bad karate. As for Muraco, he was a good wrestler, had a strong personality, and had it all in the ring. His behavior and demons kept him from being the World Champion at some point, but he certainly had all the tools and requirements.
The Shield goes 1, 2, and 3 in this year’s PWI 500, with the rankings being 1. Seth Rollins (WWE), 2. Roman Reigns (WWE), and 3. Jon Moxley (AEW). Thoughts?
Does anyone believe that Jon Moxley is the third-best wrestler in wrestling today? Better than Cody? Better than Punk, who wasn’t even listed? PWI realized that putting all three former SHIELD members at the top and having their pictures on the cover of their magazine would be a good selling point and attract attention. It’s all to sell the magazines and nothing more.
Sean Ross Sapp, after breaking the news that Jade Cargill may be going to WWE, also speculated that Ricky Starks may be next. Do you think Starks may go to WWE when his AEW deal is up and if so, who would you like to see him feud against?
If Starks is smart, he should certainly consider the options available and pursue all opportunities. Starks would be a good fit for the WWE and has the personality and skills to get over well working for Triple H. As for who would be a good feud for Starks, how about AJ Styles to start? The older veteran defending his spot against the brash, young newcomer. AJ would be able to teach Starks the WWE way of doing things, plus their styles would complement each other quite nicely.
Kevin Nash versus Flyin’ Brian Pillman. Who wins?
Nash would tear his quad stepping into the ring and Pillman would whoop that big, tall ass. Nash has the size, but Pillman was a better wrestler and character. Take out Nash’s knees and what do you have? Pillman would win.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Have a great one and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
