It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

Tony Khan’s attempts to resurrect ROH haven’t worked so far. What does Khan need to do to make ROH successful again?

In my opinion, the first thing would be to establish ROH as its own promotion and not part of AEW. It needs a unique roster and identity, unique characters, and separate, but equal treatment with AEW. I’m talking about a different booker, different TV programs, etc. Khan can foot the bills and provide support as needed, but allow ROH to be different, unique, and it’s own entity.

Thoughts on Julia Hart. Would you like to see her as the next TBS Champion?

Julia Hart is an attractive woman, but I don’t really see anything special about her that makes her stand out from the rest of the AEW crowd. She’s okay, but her character hasn’t impressed me all that much. Next TBS Champion? She’s as good as any of the other AEW Women, so sure, why not?

If Edge does go to AEW, what would you rather see him do first? Team with Christian, feud with Sting, or take control of The Dark Order?

I’d keep Edge and Christian away from each other and tease any potential reunion, but build the anticipation and make the fans wait, to make it special. A feud with Sting wouldn’t work since I don’t think Sting is capable of working singles matches and it would be pretty rough to see. The Dark Order is fine on it’s own so they don’t need Edge. So, for the options given, it’s none of the above. I just want to see Edge, if he does debut for AEW, show up, make an impact, and have fun while making some good money and cementing the legacy of his career.

Thoughts on the faction Hot Stuff & Hyatt International (Missy Hyatt, Eddie Gilbert, Hollywood John Tatum, Sting, Rick Steiner & Jack Victory)?

Look at those names. If this faction had been part of WCW or WWE, it would be spoken of in terms reserved for groups like The Dangerous Alliance, The Horsemen, and DX. Unfortunately, they were part of Bill Watt’s UWF in the early days of their careers. They were the brightest part of Watt’s company. All of these folks had exceptional careers in professional wrestling and they all got their starts together. Just an amazing batch of talent.

Vader versus Bruiser Brody. Who wins?

I guess this one would depend on who the booker is, but most likely, if these two had competed, it would be a no-contest type of finish. And if someone had to win, it’d be Brody.

Captain Insano, from the movie, The Waterboy, showed up on AEW. Thoughts?

Paul Wight, aka The Big Show, has been teasing making an appearance as Captain Insano for a couple of years now and they finally pulled the trigger on that tease. I saw the clip and it was funny, in a wrestling sort of way. I’d rather see Wight doing things like this, rather than try to wrestle.

NWA Hall of Famer Joyce Grable’s family announced that she’s entering Hospice Care. Thoughts and memories of the legendary lady grappler?

Unfortunately, Joyce Grable passed away yesterday. My condolences to the family, friends, and fans of this legendary female grappler. My memories of Grable are few as I only remember seeing her wrestle a few times as a special attraction for Crockett and the WWE, but those matches were short, by the book, and few and far between. I know more of Grable from the Apter Mags and their occasional stories about the ladies of that era. She was well known and had a solid career, but unfortunately, my memories are few.

Top Lady Wrestlers of the 60s/70s versus The Top Lady Wrestlers of Today (WWE) versus The Top Lady Wrestlers of the Attitude Era versus a random team of two women from any era. Who would be your choices for each each team and who would win?

My two ladies from the ’70 would be Penny Banner and Ann Casey. My two women from today’s business would be Rhea Ripley & Asuka. My Attitude Era team would be Victoria & Ivory. And the random team would be Trish Stratus & Charlotte Flair. And the winners, because I’m the booker here, would be Victoria & Ivory.

Do you want to see Bianca Belair’s undefeated Wrestlemania streak extend deep into the future?

Not especially. Bianca is a talented wrestler and has the hype behind her, but she’s kind of generic and bland, with no personality or character. She can do the moves, but there is nothing there that appeals to me. I’d rather see the stronger character/wrestler win rather than just keep catering to Bianca and her fan base instead.

Buff Bagwell versus LA Knight. Who wins?

Buff is the stuff, but Knight is the next big thing. LA Knight should get the victory here. Yeah!

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
