Do you know what time it is? It’s time for the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. And that is all the people need to know. Let’s do this.

Tony Schiavone has been announced as the recipient of the Gordon Solie Award from the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. Thoughts?

Congratulations to Tony Schiavone. He is what he is because he isn’t what he used to be, but he’s still Tony Schiavone. It’s an award well deserved.

Better Show: WWE Fastlane with 5 matches or AEW WrestleDream with 14 matches?

What were the memorable moments of WrestleDream? It was just one big cluster-f*ck disaster that never stopped, never slowed down, and made absolutely no sense. Five matches wasn’t much, but the matches were solid, fun to watch, and told a story. The three hours flew by and it had a lot of memorable moments. Fastlane was a thousand times the better show.

Do you think that Brock Lesnar will return for the Saudi Arabian show, Crown Jewel?

I keep hearing now that there are no plans for Lesnar to be brought in for the Crown Jewel event, so I don’t know. WWE doesn’t need him to be there as the roster is hot and pretty stacked. I’m still hoping that The Beast will show up and decimate someone, but we’ll have to wait and see.

So Brian Pillman Jr.’s name in WWE/NXT will be Lexis King. Thoughts?

I was kind of ‘Eh!” on this, but then they had Pillman doing an excellent vignette explaining the name change. It makes sense and explains why and when that is added, to provide context, I can get behind the new name and gimmick. Pillman is going to be a big star for NXT and WWE in my opinion.

Afa & Sika, The Wild Samoans versus Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid, The British Bulldogs. Who wins?

Afa and Sika were monsters in the ring and I loved their gimmick, especially when the legendary Captain Lou Albano was added to the mix. That being said, this one would go to The Bulldogs.

Thoughts on Tim Woods, aka Mr. Wrestling?

To see Woods without his mask, he looks like an accountant or plumber, but in his era, he was one of the best scientific wrestlers around. I remember when the infamous plane crash happened, Woods, who was injured in the crash that crippled Johnny Valentine and broke Ric Flair’s back, checked himself out of the hospital and despite broken ribs and serious injuries, wrestled several matches so no one would realize he, the top babyface of the territory, and Valentine, the top heel, were on the same plane. He kept kayfabe alive and saved the territory, according to Ric Flair and many others. A true icon and wrestling legend for the Mid-Atlantic and Georgia territories.

In his prime, Jack Brisco versus Bret “The Hitman” Hart. Who wins?

This one goes to Jack Brisco. Hart is one of the best of his era, but Brisco was one of the best of all time, either in the ring or shooting. Yeah, Jack wins this one.

You’re starting a wrestling company and you can hire any three people you desire as your booking committee. Money is no object. Who you got?

Jim Cornette would say no and Paul Heyman is loyal to the WWE, so that rules either of those men out. So who is left that would make sense, be able to do the job, and I would be comfortable working with? So who would be my three-man booking team? Jeff Jarrett, Mickie James, and Ethan Storm. An experienced booker, a woman who has done it all and is a creative legend in her own right, and one of the top Indy stars of the past fifteen years, who I know very well and has a mind for the business second to none. I think we’d do pretty well.

What’s your honest opinion on Bad News Brown?

A tough guy, with charisma and a feeling of danger about him. He wasn’t the best wrestler or best promo guy, but he was a man who had that aura about him and you knew that he was someone to take seriously. I wouldn’t want to see him wrestle a thirty-minute match, but a street fight or brawl would be awesome.

Do you think Jon Moxley will still be wrestling in five years or will he be forced to “retire” due to injuries?

At the rate he’s going, I don’t think he’ll make it another year. Concussions, other injuries, the need to bleed, etc. Moxley is wrestling on borrowed time at this point and unless something major changes, which I doubt it will, Mox isn’t going to last much longer.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
