Sting announced that he plans to retire at AEW Revolution 2024. Thoughts?

Sting is 64 years old so this is not a surprise and is the right call in my opinion. I’m sure that Sting will continue as an Ambassador and employee of AEW for as long as he wants, but so far as taking bumps and putting his body on the line in matches, it is truly time to give it a rest. Sting has had an amazing career, second to none, and has nothing left to prove to anyone. It’s time.

Vince Russo recently stated that CM Punk was never a major draw for WWE and that the promotion might not be interested in bringing him back. Is Russo right? Thoughts?

Russo is wrong and that is all the people need to know.

Sylvester Stallone &Hulk Hogan versus Arnold Schwarzenegger & Triple H. Who wins?

Talk about dream matches and this one would certainly qualify just for the build and story alone. The match itself probably wouldn’t be a five-star event, but the spectacle would be second to none. Triple H and Arnold would win.

Now that the NWA has signed with The CW. Should they sign CM Punk to be their top star?

A name like CM Punk coming aboard as they make their television network debut would truly be a major plus for any promotion. Billy Corgan should at least consider the option, talk to Punk, and make an offer. He’d have nothing to lose with the effort, and if it worked out, it would reap many benefits in terms of publicity, drawing fans, and creating a moment for the NWA and its fans.

Nick Wayne’s Mom versus Trent’s Mom & the mini-van. Who wins?

I would add Beaver Cleavage’s Mom & Buff Bagwell’s Mom, Judy to the match as well and make it a Mother’s Day Special with a Fatal 4-Way Mommy Match. Watching all of the sons on the outside fighting would be great fun. And Mother-of-the-year, Vickie Guerrero, could come out and cut a Christian Cage-style promo on all four wrestling mothers about what great role models and parents they’ve been for their kids. It would be epic. As for who wins, I’ll go with Trent’s Mom. She has cookies for everyone.

What will be Tony Khan’s gift to Sting next week on AEW Dynamite?

Has Tony said that he’s giving Sting a retirement gift? I must have missed that, but since this is wrestling and it’s Tony, I’m sure a big announcement will be coming on Twitter very soon. As for what the gift may be, I would say a title match against either MJF or Christian Cage at an upcoming event. That sounds like the most logical option to me.

Rhea Ripley has been named #1 in this year’s PWI Women’s 250. Thoughts?

Rhea is easily the most popular woman currently in WWE and is a very popular face on all three brands every week in her role as part of The Judgement Day. And she’s pretty damn awesome in the ring as well. It’s an honor and position that is very much well deserved. Congratulations to Mami. She’s earned it.

Which Powers Of Pain team member did you like more, Warlord or Barbarian?

While Warlord is tough as nails and from all reports, a cool dude, I have to go with The Barbarian on this one. I’ve heard many personal stories from friends of mine who have wrestled with and against Barbarian, and stories from outside the ring and arena as well, and he comes across as an awesome person in every account. A legend in the ring, but an even better person outside of the ring. And that’s what matters most. Both men are great, but I’ll go with The Barbarian on this one.

Thoughts on all of the Adam Cole vignettes currently airing on AEW?

They get more childish and stupid every week. Are we sure that Vince Russo isn’t working for AEW and writing this stuff? No, even Russo at his worst wouldn’t be this bad. Cole is destroying any credibility he has left and it’s sad. Very sad.
