You have questions and I have the answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and that is all the people need to know. Let’s roll.

With TNA coming back, what other promotion would you love to see return? Wrestling Society X would be the ultimate guilty pleasure.

I’d love to see David Crockett and the family restart Jim Crockett Promotions, aka Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. That’s what I grew up on and as strong as the local Indy scene is here in NC, a promotion pooling the talent and various smaller promotions while staying in the NC/SC/VA regions could be huge.

Who do you have in a brawl of the Eastern European baddies? Ivan Drago vs Das Wunderkind Alex Wright?

I had to sit and think for a moment to remember who Ivan Drago was, but then I remembered the Rocky Movies and it all came back to me. Who would win? Alex Wright. Drago was an actor in a movie while Alex is a second-generation legitimate pro wrestler. Alex would tie Drago up and dance all over him, literally.

Will the name change make much difference to TNA? And should they bring the old ring back?

Yes, the name change will make a big difference in my opinion. It’s a rebranding and getting the attention and publicity of a new start with a twist of nostalgia. As for the old ring, leave it wherever it’s at. Do not bring it back.

Who should Randy Orton feud with upon returning to WWE?

How about Grayson Waller and Austin Theory? That could be fun to see.

A Faction with James Ellsworth, Gillberg, Marko Stunt, Feugo Del Sol, and Hornswoggle. What would their name be?

The name would be Toy Soldiers. And I would love to see it.

Who’s the first wrestler you think of when you hear the words, “Survivor Series”?

For me, it will always be The Undertaker. It’s where he made his debut so long ago and that PPV just makes me think of the legendary Dead Man.

With Impact rebranding as TNA, plus the NWA moving to the CW Network, will AEW still be the #2 brand in the United States two years from now?

By the way, they’re losing their audience, with decreasing live crowds, plus ratings that refuse to grow and are stagnant, AEW will be lucky to still be in business in two years, much less the #2 promotion. I think both the NWA and TNA can use the momentum of their new beginnings to catch attention and draw some new eyes to their product. If that happens and the fans like what they see, AEW will absolutely be in trouble.

LA Knight versus Matt Cardona. Who wins?

My money will always be on The Indy God, Matt Cardona. Woo woo woo – you know it!

The Undertaker is starting a Patreon, and a podcast called Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway. Thoughts?

He barely spoke for over twenty years and now, he won’t shut up lol. Just kidding. Imagine the stories this man can share. I am very interested in seeing how this new venture for The Undertaker goes and yes, I will probably be listening.

Harley Race, Nick Bockwinkle, Bob Backland & Dusty Rhodes versus Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, MJF, and EC3 in a War Games Match. Who wins?

The Champions of the NWA, AWA, WWF, and the American Dream versus The WWE Champion, The Universal Champion, The AEW Champion, and the most current NWA Champion. That’s a lot of great wrestling knowledge and gold. It would be a brutal, yet fun match to see. And poor EC3. He’s just there to take the fall. Race, Bockwinkle, Backlund, and Dusty would win with this one.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. If you’re a member of any wrestling groups on Facebook, share the column and help me get these numbers up. Thank you. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
