It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll!

John Cena says Randy Orton is the Shawn Michaels of his generation. Who is the Shawn Michaels of today’s generation?

It’s a tough call but I’ll go with Seth Rollins. He can do anything and play any role, face or heel, and he’s very consistent with the great matches. Yeah, Seth fits the role of HBK 2.0 very nicely.

Who would you like to see in this year’s Survivor Series War Games match?

Well, this question is too late as it was made official last night that The Judgement Day will face Cody, Jey Uso, Sami, and Seth Rollins. That’s a good match and I have no problems with it.

Tony Khan is reportedly working on bringing Hulk Hogan to AEW in some capacity. Thoughts?

Hogan won’t do it. He burned the bridge with WWE one time and it took a lot of work to get back into the picture with them. Besides, didn’t Tony Khan ban Hogan and ex-wife Linda Hogan “for life” a few years ago? Tony is getting desperate for ways to jump the ratings and get attention and yes, having Hogan show up on Dynamite would do the job for one night, but it’s not a needle-turner in the big picture of things, and would hurt AEW more than it would help, as will having Flair there. They just haven’t realized it yet. It’s all fun to speculate, but Hogan in AEW? It’s not going to happen.

Matt Hardy Believes Sting Challenging MJF For The World Title In His Last Match Could Be Intriguing. Thoughts?

Have MJF carry Sting to a great match with Sting going out as the AEW Champion? That does sound very intriguing and would be fun to see. And then Sting vacates the title and we get a long, sixteen-man tournament that is spread out over a month and the winner becomes the new AEW Champion. I’d watch it. Book it, Tony.

Tony Khan’s important announcement was that All In 2024 tickets will be available on December 1st. Did that live up to the hype of whatever you were expecting? Thoughts?

That “big announcement” went over like a fart in church. Someone needs to take Tony’s phone and microphone away and keep him away from social media. A big announcement, that was not.

It was just announced that Ric Flair has signed a multi-year deal with AEW and his “Woooo Energy Drink” is now the official energy drink of AEW. Thoughts?

If it’s like the rest of Flair’s investments, it’ll be bankrupt within a year. This is a good deal for Flair and his drink, but I don’t think it or Flair will last long with this AEW sponsorship deal. Something or someone (Ric) will screw it up. Watch and see.

The Big Show, Paul Wight, is coming out of retirement to be Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho’s partner in an upcoming Street Fight against the Family of Don Callis. Thoughts?

Did you see Wight when he came out on Dynamite? He looked terrible, could barely move, and it was just sad. Wight shouldn’t be in the ring at all at this point of his career due to his repeated injuries and the wear and tear on his body. I don’t want to see this match.

Lita versus Bayley. Who wins?

Lita is extreme, but Bayley is the better all-around performer in that squared circle. Bayley should win here.

Now that Ric Flair has signed a multi-year contract with AEW, how soon do you think WWE will have Cena break his world title record?

I don’t think they’ll go that far and Ric/Cena will probably stay tied until Charlotte is ready to break the records of both men, most likely by Wrestlemania 41. I don’t expect we’ll be hearing the “Woooo!” as part of the WWE Intro package anymore, but that’s probably as far as WWE will go to punish Flair for his defection. Hell, at this point, they’re probably glad he’s Tony Khan’s problem now and not theirs.

After the announcement of his signing to the company today, Ric Flair stated that he’s “dying” to go one-on-one with AEW World Champion, MJF. “I’m dying to go one one-on-one with MJF, man. It would get a rating too. ‘Let’s talk, young man.’” Thoughts?

If this was twenty years ago, a promo battle with Flair and MJF would have been epic. Ten years ago, it would be entertaining. As for now, no way it should happen. MJF is so much better than Flair now and it would be embarrassing to Flair and what’s left of his legacy. Just no to that.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
