It’s the Q&A with all the answers to all of your wrestling-related questions. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.
Ric Flair recently commented and bragged about how he had Ole Anderson fired from WCW in 1993. But ten months after Flair claims this happened, Ole was part of WCW as the voice of the Shock Master. So is Ric just wrong about the dates or lying? Thoughts?
According to Ole, Eric Bischoff, and Jim Cornette, Ole was fired from WCW after working at the Power Plant as a trainer and allowing Jim Cornette to come make some videos with Ole’s son. This was in late 94. So Flair was obviously mistaken as he had nothing to do with Ole leaving WCW. Yes, Flair lies.
Who Wins π: Thunder Rosa Vs Nikki Bella?
Thunder Rosa and it’s not even close. Brie was the Bella that could wrestle. Nikki was just kind of there.
Team Rollins or Team Punk?
Is this a repeat of the old Team Edward or Team Jacob from Twilight? I was Team Jacob by the way. And for this one, I’m Team Punk. Now cry me a river.
Who should Sting wrestle in his final match?
Darby is the most logical choice, but truthfully, whoever Sting wants to wrestle, should be the one. If Sting was to say, Marko Stunt, they should just go with it. Sting has earned that right.
Matt Riddle recently spoke about wanting to wrestle in Japan next year and wanting a dream match against Kenny Omega at some point. Do you think Riddle would do well in Japan? Would you like to see him wrestle Omega?
With the way that the drug laws are in Japan, I don’t think Riddle would do very well on that particular trip. Remember, Japan locked up Paul McCartney for possession of marijuana and he’s a Beatle. Just imagine what they would do to The Bro. But a match against Kenny Omega would be cool to see. Once Omega gets past his current medical issues, maybe we’ll see it happen. One can only hope.
Who Wins π: Carmelo Hayes Vs AJ Styles?
Nothing against Carmelo, but this one goes to AJ Styles, no doubts in my mind at all about that.
At AEW World’s End, Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega are scheduled to wrestle Ricky Starks & Big Bill Morrisey for the tag team titles, but now Omega is out of action. Who should Jericho pick as his replacement partner for this match?
If Omega can’t wrestle, the logical choice for Jericho, given their history, is either Lance Storm (Not likely) or Sammy Guevera. I know that Sammy left the Jericho Appreciation Society and turned on Chris, but Sammy and Chris have that relationship that goes back and all they have to do to clear up the storyline is say that Chris contacted Sammy when he recently became a father and they talked and worked out their issues. It’s simple, logical, and makes sense and would allow for a reunion of Le’ Sex Gods.
Why does ROH have TV titles when they’re not on TV?
I have no idea. Ask Tony Khan. Maybe he can explain it because I certainly can’t. It makes absolutely no sense to me.
In response to a comment made by the Disco Inferno on Twitter, AEW Owner Tony Khan called him, “An irrelevant parasite”. Thoughts?
Exactly how many wrestling matches have Tony Khan participated in? How many booking committees, aside from his own, has Tony Khan worked on? How many Championship titles has Tony Khan won and defended? Disco Inferno has contributed far more to the business of professional wrestling than a mark-son of a Billionaire who is playing fantasy wrestling promoter ever could hope to. I think that Disco just happened to hit a nerve by calling Tony out and telling the truth, that the AEW product is not growing or getting better, that the ratings and house show attendance have constantly fallen, and that Tony is not a good booker. Disco may be annoying at times, but in the big picture of things, he’s paid his dues and has earned the right to give his opinion on the business of professional wrestling far more than a money-mark promoter with a big trust fund.
Mickie James versus Rhea Ripley. Who wins?
As much as I love Mickie, in this classic battle of Mommy versus Mami, my money would be with the leader of The Judgement Day. Rhea Ripley wins.
