Let me speak on this. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

WWE has announced that Charlotte Flair will be out for nine months following her knee injury on Smackdown last week. Thoughts?

It’s a sad moment for Charlotte and I wish her the very best for a painless and quick recovery. I don’t wish injuries on anyone, but in many ways, this might be a blessing in disguise. Her most recent return has been kind of lackluster, but what’s the old cliche about absence making the heart grow fonder? A long break from the spotlight and when she returns, it can be a big moment, much like Randy Orton or CM Punk are currently experiencing. When she’s able to return, it’ll be bigger and better than ever. Best of wishes and good health to her.

Who is the smartest person in wrestling history?

Are you talking about in terms of booking, promotion, actual in-ring abilities, putting together a match, or what else? It depends on the criteria being used to make this judgment. Aw hell, I’ll just say the ultimate wrestling historian and leave it at that. Let’s go with James E. Cornette.

Do you think the reveal of the devil will live up to the hype?

Nope, it won’t. It’ll be a big letdown like every other big announcement and booking decision by AEW.

Kenny Omega took to Twitter and announced that he would be out of action indefinitely due to injuries. Thoughts?

I’m not a big fan of Omega, but this is a rough deal for Omega and it sucks. I wish him the best for a speedy recovery.

Dusty Rhodes versus Kurt Angle. Who wins?

Dusty would give a good fight if you will, but Kurt Angle should and would walk away with the trip to the pay window and the big victory.

Cody Rhodes talking about MJF: “I think one day you will see MJF in WWE.” Thoughts?

Cody was the man who originally hired MJF for AEW and has, in the past, acted as a mentor for the current AEW World Champion, so he probably would know better than most. And I agree. I think he’s right.

The Nightmare Factory, a wrestling training facility owned by Cody Rhodes and run by Dustin Rhodes/QT Marshall, has filed to trademark Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling, the name of the promotion founded and led by Dusty Rhodes. Thoughts?

I’m speculating, but for me, this seems as if Cody, QT Marshall, and the others involved in the Nightmare Factory might be gearing up to run a potential developmental promotion for WWE. Just think about it. A promotional territory, similar to what OVW used to do, but under the guidance of Cody and friends, to train talent that’s not quite NXT-ready, but has a lot of potential. I think that Triple H is smart enough to realize that the best wrestlers have a variety of trainers and experiences and while the Performance Center is the top priority, it doesn’t hurt to have a backup system in place as well. I’m just speculating, as I mentioned before, but it makes sense to me.

Who’s your favorite old-school ‘big man’?

My favorite would be The One Man Gang. I saw him wrestle live several times in the Crockett days and on TV from Florida and when he was the monster heel, with Sir Oliver Humperdink or Gary Hart as his manager. He was the real deal and always fun to see.

Do you think AEW is holding off bringing Jungle Boy back because they’re worried about the crowd chanting for CM Punk?

They’re holding back his return because he’s the freakin’ Devil! Okay, maybe not, but I’m sure they’re waiting for the proper time when they can capitalize on the major heat he will get upon his return. Wrestling fans are very fickle, as we both know. AEW diehards hated Punk, but Perry comes across as such a weiner, and his antics, going into business for himself, have cost AEW millions of dollars. He’ll be back eventually, probably at the next PPV. He’s the freaking devil.

WWE star Liv Morgan was arrested yesterday in Sumter County, Florida after a traffic stop. Morgan was arrested for possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) and possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoids. Thoughts?

She technically broke the law, but she won’t suffer any consequences or issues from this aside from the legal garbage. While Vince may have suspended her indefinitely just for the principle of things, Triple H is a bit more level-headed and it’s not a big deal for the WWE. She’ll pull a USO and take care of her business and be back on TV sooner rather than later as life goes on.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
