I’m cleaning out my mailbox. It’s another edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. You’re welcome. Let’s roll!

So imagine this. HBK leaves NXT and goes to work on the main roster. What if CM Punk and Ace Steele took over his role and started running NXT? Would that be awesome or not?

While anything is possible in the WWE, I don’t see this as very likely… yet. CM Punk likes being down at the PC and helping out the younger talent. And Ace Steele is a damn good trainer who would fit right in at the PC. But Punk just made his return to WWE and is a man on a mission, to main event Wrestlemania. Maybe three or four years down the road, I can see Punk giving up an active in-ring career to become a trainer, maybe even at the PC and NXT, but for the next couple of years, I think his focus is more on accomplishing his goals and proving to the WWE fans why he’s the best in the World.

Mick Foley’s Foley Is Pod podcast is ending on the Conrad Thompson AdFree network. Thoughts? And if Foley’s podcast is over, who should Conrad get to start a new podcast with to replace him?

I’m not sure what the numbers for Mick’s podcast were, but it seems that the time and money being put into the show isn’t quite paying off as everyone had hoped, so this era of Mick’s career comes to an end. I know I’ve only listened to a few clips on YouTube. Mick is a wrestling legend, but as a podcaster, he didn’t seem quite comfortable. It’s okay though. He still does stand-up and signings so he’ll be okay. As for a possibility as to who could replace him, I still think Lisa Moretti, aka Ivory, would do well with a podcast. Nick Dinsmore is another name that comes to mind. I’m sure that Conrad won’t have any problems finding someone to step up to take Foley’s spot.

What was the better signing? Adam Copeland to AEW or CM Punk to WWE?

Since debuting for AEW, Copeland hasn’t moved the ratings an inch. Punk has already set records in merchandise sales and rating spikes. I think this answer is pretty obvious.

In his prime, Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan Koloff & Krusher Kruschev versus GUNTHER w/ Imperium. Who wins?

This one would be brutal to watch and so damn stiff, I think I need medical attention just thinking about it. Power versus power, GUNTHER versus Nikita would match up well. Ivan and Kruschev would take out Imperium and Nikita would get the win.

Katsuyori Shibata is All-Elite. Thoughts?

Who? I thought he already was part of AEW. I guess the past few months were just a trial run. Oh well, good for him.

So, R-Truth is the AEW Devil, right?

Man, wouldn’t that be great to see R-Truth pop up wearing a cheap devil mask, and after he milks it for a few minutes for the crowd, he pulls it off and reveals that he’s the leader of the Natural Born Thrillers. And after a moment of confusion, says, “What? This ain’t Monday Night RAW. Oh wait, there are people in the audience. Ya’ll had me confused. My bad! My bad!”. Admit it, you’d pop.

Who is the greatest WWE Authority Figure of all time, not named McMahon or Helmsley?

WWF President Jack Tunney. Back in the day, when Tunney showed up, you knew something was going down. He didn’t have to be on every show to be the boss, so let’s go with him.

Goldberg said recently that he tried to be a part of Sting’s final match at AEW Revolution 2024. Thoughts?

While Goldberg and Sting were both part of WCW, I don’t remember them having much interaction or being friends. Having Lex Luger or The Steiners there makes sense. Hell, having Konnan, Kevin Nash, and Disco Inferno there makes sense since they were all in the Wolfpac together. But Goldberg? I just don’t see a reason for him to be involved with Sting’s retirement. I just don’t see it.

Ric Flair announced the launch of the “Wooooo! Coin” cryptocurrency on January 1st. Are you interested in Flair’s latest investment/business?

He already promotes legalized marijuana and energy drinks. And now he’s joined the Crypto-scam. This is coming from a man who invested in Gold’s Gyms… and bankrupted them. He was part of a Financial group but had to have Vince McMahon pay off his tax debts, twice. He pawned the NWA World Championship title belt off to get a loan… and then defaulted on the loan. While Ric is a wrestling legend and arguably one of the greatest ever inside that ring, he’s proven time and time again that he’ll do anything for money and has no self-respect when it comes to trying to still be “The Nature Boy”. If Flair is involved in an investment, go the other direction as quickly as you can. You’ll be glad you did.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and Chris Jericho lurking around. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
