All Elite Wrestling will present the World’s End PPV event on December 30, 2024, live from the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY. It’s their final show of 2023 and of course, that means it’s prediction time. Are you ready? As of the time I’m writing this, early Thursday morning, only ten matches have been announced, which is a little light for an AEW PPV event. I’m sure that within the next 48 hours, at least five more matches will be added. If they are and I see the additions in time, I’ll add them here and update this column. You’re welcome. And now, it’s time to channel my inner Jeanne Dixon. Let’s roll.

AEW Champion MJF vs. Samoa Joe.

Samoa Joe pulled a swerve and ended up attacking MJF at the end of Dynamite so I guess he’s found his inner heel. Since MJF has legit injuries, or so he claims, plus his AEW contract allegedly expires this coming Monday, I think it’s time for a title change. I won’t mention how MJF has gotten stale as a pseudo-babyface and all of the comedy skits with Addddaaaammm. We’re going to see a new AEW Champion at the end of the night.

Winner and NEW AEW World Champion: Samoa Joe

AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm vs. Riho.

One woman is lost in time and the other? Well, it’s Riho! This match should be quick, relatively harmless, and make for a great bathroom break for all of the fans trying to sit through this show. Storm keeps her title.

Winner and STILL AEW Women’s Champion: Timeless Toni Storm.

TNT Champion Christian Cage vs. Adam Copeland – No DQ.

It makes no sense to take the TNT Championship off the Patriarch and his loving family of Killswitch, Nick Wayne, and Mama Wayne. It makes no sense so of course, that’s exactly what will happen. Copeland has seemingly lost his EDGE since coming to AEW and what does that mean? Championship gold.

Winner and NEW AEW TNT Champion: Adam Copeland.

FTW Champion Hook vs. Wheeler Yuta under FTW Rules.

Hook had so much momentum and now, he’s trying to get it back. He’s fighting a tough dude here though as Yuta is doing it for the Juggalos. But Yuta will end up saying, “Fuck this shit!”, as he finds out that just because he’s a Super Humman wannabe, it doesn’t mean he’s ready for the chip-eating handsome devil. Hook wins and retains his daddy’s belt.

Winner and STILL FTW Champion: Hook

AEW TBS Champion Julia Hart defends vs. Abadon

Abadon is back from nearly a year in AEW Limbo and she’s challenging for the TBS Championship against Julia Hart, who is one of the better women on the AEW roster. That’s honestly not saying much, but this should be a decent match and hopefully entertaining. I don’t see the title changing hands.

Winner and STILL AEW TBS Champion: Julia Hart.

Continental Classic Finals to crown Triple Crown Champion: Jon Moxley vs. Eddie Kingston.

Wow, look at who the two final wrestlers are in the biggest event in AEW history in the tournament for a brand new, made-up, Triple Crown Championship. The bleeder and the every-man misfit who cries if you say he’s fat. All that work and we get such a predictable ending. I thought AEW wanted to build NEW stars. Sighs The absolute worst thing would be see see Bleeding Man win, but that sounds like something Tony would do.

Winner and NEW Continental Classic Triple Crown Champion: Jon Moxley.

Swerve Strickland vs. Keith Lee.

Swerve is on fire and the hottest he’s ever been and so they suddenly remember that he had a feud going on with Grandpa Lee. This will be a good match. Of that, I’m sure, but after all this time, why? It doesn’t make much sense. Swerve should get the win here.

Winner: Swerve Strickland.

Miro vs. Andrade.

Having Miro’s wife, CJ Perry, out with a legitimate injury, couldn’t have happened at a worse time. It took away any momentum and reason for this match to happen. I know they tried to fix it with Miro’s proclamation that he just doesn’t like Andrade, but this match, which could be exciting and an instant classic, just feels kind of “Bleh!”, at the best. Miro needs to be a monster again and needs the win more than Andrade does.

Winner: Miro.

20-Man Battle Royal – Winner earns shot at AEW TNT Title at any time.

And here is the mandatory Battle Royal to get everyone else, who isn’t already involved in a match, a spot on the show. I don’t know who’s in the match, but I guess just taking random guesses at who’s from New Japan and isn’t already being featured will be just as good a way to get a winner as anyone else. No, forget that. It’s either Mark Briscoe or Jay White winning. I can feel it in my gut. Let’s go with Dem’ Boys and the ROH Legend Mark Briscoe.

Winner: Mark Briscoe

Chris Jericho & Sting & Sammy Guevara & Darby Allin vs. Big Bill & Ricky Starks & Kyle Fletcher & Powerhouse Hobbs.

I called it a few weeks ago that Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevera would end up back together and here we go. I was right. You’re welcome. But instead of challenging Big Bill & Ricky Starks for the AEW Tag Team Championships, as was the original match, it’s now been changed into an 8-Man Tag Team Match. I guess they’re going to save the actual title match for an episode of Dynamite or Collision. That makes sense. So we’re getting Sting, on his retirement tour, his son Darby, and the reunited Le’ Sex Gods versus The Don Callis Family and the Tag Team Champs. I wonder if Ric Flair will be lurking around to maybe give Callis a chop or two at ringside? This match will be more of smoke, mirrors, and a spectacle than an actual match. And the good guys will win.

Winners: Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevera, Sting, and Darby Allin.

Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Mark Briscoe, & Daniel Garcia vs. Brody King, Jay White, Jay Lethal, & Rush

Didn’t I say there would be another match added? And I’m sure this isn’t the last one. This should be a good match, but it just seems thrown together to get Danielson, Claudio, and the others on the show. It’ll be a goodmatch, but the choice of winners isn’t really isn’t in any doubt. The BCC, Briscoe, and Garcia are walking out with the win and taking that trip to the pay window.

Winners: Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Mark Briscoe, & Daniel Garcia.

Willow Nightingale versus Kris Statlander

And in the wee hours of late Friday night, yet another match that few will have any interest in is added to an already crowded show. Both Kris and Willow are fan favorites so what’s the issue here? Why is this match suddenly so important that it’s now PPV-worthy? Only Tony Khan knows. I guess it’s snowing in Orlando? Kris doesn’t have any momentum going although she only recently returned to action. Willow seems to be the office’s favorite. Willow wins.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

And there you go. As I mentioned earlier, when more matches are added to the show, and we all know they will be, I’ll try and come back and update this column. And with that, my thanks for reading.
