More questions about the King of Sports and more answers from me. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.
Goldberg says that Vince McMahon promised him a retirement match and is a “piece of shit” for not delivering. Should WWE give him one? Thoughts?
Goldberg just needs to shut up. Vince gave him an opportunity and he was able to defeat the biggest names in WWE, win the Universal Championship, and make millions of dollars while only wrestling 11 matches in a several-year career resurgence. In case he hasn’t noticed, Vince left the WWE, came back, sold the company, and left again. He’s had more to think about than what an entitled half-ass ex-WCW wrestler wants. Triple H was the man in charge when Goldberg’s contract expired and Goldberg was a free agent so if anyone is to blame, it’s Triple H. If Goldberg wants to whine and complain and call someone a piece of shit, he needs to give Hunter a call and see how well that goes over. Otherwise, he just needs to shut up already.
Thoughts on Nature Boy Buddy Landell?
A damn good wrestler and talker who by all rights, should have been a much bigger star than he was. He had all the tools, but unfortunately, he had all the devils on his shoulders and all of the baggage as well and it was too much to overcome. Landell was damn good though.
Former NWA Women’s Champion Kamille becomes a free agent on January 1, 2024. So what’s next? WWE, AEW, TNA, or somewhere else?
I’m sure that the former NWA Champion/Current Smackdown General Manager, Nick Aldis, has been in Triple H and HBK’s ears about how good Kamille is and they’ve got their eyes on her. They should anyhow. I’m expecting to see her in NXT within the next few months.
Who do you regard to be the King of Deathmatch?
When I think of Death Matches, I think of Terry Funk. Matt Cardona may use the name as part of his gimmick, but he’s the pretend king compared to The Funker. Terry Funk will always be the King.
Do you think we’ll eventually see RAW General Manager Adam Pearce versus Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis in a match? Maybe at Wrestlemania?
Given their past history and in-ring skills, if we don’t get a Pearce versus Aldis match at some point in the WWE, it will be a huge shame. As for being at Wrestlemania, they have two nights to cover so why not have the two General Managers of RAW and Smackdown solve their differences in the ring at the biggest show of the year? Works for me.
So, do you think we eventually get a tell-all interview from the AEW Brawl Out from Ace Steele’s wife? She’s the only person who was there for the entire event who didn’t sign an NDA.
Jericho didn’t either. Just ask him and he’ll tell you that, at least if he’s had enough of the bubbly. In regards to Steele’s wife though, I don’t think she’ll come out and say anything, NDA or not. Most likely, she’s just happy to put the whole situation behind her and move on.
Is Britt Baker overrated, underrated, or perfectly placed?
She’s pretty good in the ring and as a character, although AEW seems to have forgotten about that and she hasn’t been used properly for quite a while. I think she’s underrated.
Baron Corbin versus Jack Swagger. Who wins?
Jack, with how he’s been wrestling/portrayed for the past few years in AEW, isn’t even half of what he was in WWE. Baron Corbin would win and be the one to take that trip to the pay window.
Do you think Tully Blanchard could have been NWA World Champion even if it was a short run?
Tully was a good wrestler, a good talker, a great heel, and could wrestle with and adapt to any style. He would have made a great heel World Champion, especially with Baby Doll at his side. I can’t see him with a long reign, but a short run of a year or so would have gone over very well in my opinion.
Wouldn’t it be nice if AEW started their own Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank? Opinion?
Do you mean like the Casino Battle Royal where wrestlers enter in groups of five and the winner gets a match for the World Championship? Or maybe something like the twenty-man Battle Royal at World’s End tomorrow night where the winner gets a contract for a TNT Championship Match at the time and place of his choosing. AEW already has both Royal Rumble and MITB matches, albeit with slight alterations to cover up that they’re ripping off WWE already. They don’t need to start their own Rumble and MITB matches because they already have.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
