It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

So it’s Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble in a Fatal 4-Way against Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles. Wow! Thoughts?

Works for me. It’s a solid main event and it’s a match where you can’t be sure who is going to win. I like this match and it adds to the current stories and product, at least in my opinion.

The AOP and Paul Ellering are back in WWE and aligned with Karrion Kross & Scarlett. Thoughts?

It’s about time. Yay!

So my shortlist for WWE HOF 24’ would be 1. The Mexicools. 2. The Nasty Boys. 3. The extended Dudley family including Sign Guy! 4. Billy Fives. 5. Celebrity Inductees: Robocop and MacGruber. Thoughts?

You forgot about The Leprechaun, Little Jimmy, Bastion Booger & James Ellsworth. Nice list. Okay, maybe not.

Ox Baker versus Jos LeDuc. Who wins?

This match wouldn’t be great wrestling, but it’d be a great fight with two very unique characters. LeDuc would win.

According to Arn Anderson, Ronnie Garvin belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame. Thoughts?

He’s not wrong. Garvin had a great career that lasted nearly thirty years and while it wasn’t the most exciting run in NWA history, he is a former NWA World Champion. Ron Garvin was a top guy in the NWA, Puerto Rico, WWF, and the AWA. He’s earned that spot.

Tony Khan recently stated that the AEW Women’s Division is in the strongest place it’s ever been. Agree or disagree?

Considering the history of the AEW Women’s Division, that’s not saying all that much. There are a few decent women wrestlers currently in the company so that’s a huge plus. The booking is still terrible and doesn’t make any sense, but it is better than it was.

So Pat McAfee versus Corey Graves at Wrestlemania? Yes or no?

I’d like to see it happen eventually because it’d be a fun program and probably a good match. But at Wrestlemania? I don’t see that happening.

If Roman drops the title at the Rumble so he can face the Rock at Mania, would that be anti-climatic to the whole Bloodline story?

Anti-climatic? Not really. It’d just be another swerve in the story, but to me, not having the title involved with Roman versus Rock adds to the program. If Rock versus Roman is for the title, we all know who is going to win the fight. Rock doesn’t have the time to devote to a full schedule with WWE, so we know that Roman will win. But if it’s just a fight, a one-off battle, it works better without the extra baggage of the title. Roman can drop the belt at the Rumble, have a run with The Rock, and then go back after the belt and everything will be just fine.

What excites you more? Ospreay to AEW? Or the rumored Giulia to WWE? And which one do you think will have the most longevity with their respective company?

Ospreay is a good wrestler, but we’ve seen him work AEW and TNA already and it’s already kind of “Eh!” at this point. I am interested in Giulia though. The few matches I’ve seen of hers from Stardom seem pretty decent and to be honest, these days the women are generally better than the men more often than not. Ospreay might make a big impact in AEW to start, but after Tony gets tired of playing with him, he’ll get lost in the swamp that is the AEW roster. Giulia won’t be pushed as the big star from the star but will be brought along steadily and better-paced in the WWE product. Her career will have much more longevity and a better run over the big picture of things.

With Smackdown effectively taking 4 of its top stars out of the Rumble (for championship matches), how do you think this will affect the Rumble match itself?

WWE has such a stacked roster that this is not a bad thing at all. Having Kevin Owens, Logan Paul, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and LA Knight not as part of the Rumble match, leaves spots open for other talents on the roster and will give other talents a chance to show off a bit, do their thing, and have an opportunity to shine. To me, that makes the Rumble better in the big picture of things.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
