It’s another edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m procrastinating getting ready for work. Yeah, I do that sometimes. So are you ready for some ‘rassling? Let’s roll.

One Man Gang versus Rick Steiner. Who wins?

One Man Gang, in his prime and before WWE, was far better than he gets credit for. Rick Steiner was so damn strong and good in the ring but didn’t have much of a personality. This match wouldn’t be pretty, but it would be fun to see. I think Steiner would win.

Is Killswitch, aka Luchasaurus, to Christian Cage as Virgil was to Ted DiBiase? If so, when will Luchasaurus have had enough and turn on Cage?

The story is following essentially the same path as the DiBiase/Virgil story used because its a time-tested story that works well in pro wrestling. Christian and Luchasaurus are following the same story and when Luchasaurus eventually turns on Christian and goes face, it’s going to go over big time.

Mick Foley has joined OVW as a “Talent Evaluator”. Thoughts?

Essentially, Mick will be getting a check and a title from his old buddy, Al Snow, to travel to events, scout talents, and try to find the next big superstar to tell his long-time friend about, something he was doing already, but now he’s getting paid for it. Good for Foley. He’s been in the business long enough and can spot talent that has the potential to be a big star one day. Good for him. OVW is stepping up by adding Foley and also Mickie James to management. They’re not quite in the Danny Davis/Jim Cornette league yet, but they’re getting there.

Do you remember Outback Jack? Thoughts?

I remember him, but not very well. A blatant ripoff of the Crocodile Dundee movies, but with a rather bland guy playing the character and doing it badly. When Outback Jack came on the TV, I would usually go get something to eat or have a bathroom break. I’m sure he was a nice guy and all that, and this is coming from a guy who loves goofy wrestling and bad gimmicks, he did nothing for me.

WWE is finally getting rid of Butch and bringing back The Bruiserweight Pete Dunne! Thoughts?

All I can say is that it’s about time. Dunne is a damn good wrestler and has the potential to be a big name for the WWE one day, but that name, Butch, was killing the character and making it impossible for anyone to take him seriously. With that huge piece of baggage taken off, now Dunne may have a chance to shine. Good for him.

Alan Angels, Fuego Del Sol & Aaron Solow versus Jimmy Valiant, Bugsy McGraw & Rufus R. Jones. Who wins?

Three of my favorite talents of today versus three of the best comedy/goofy wrestlers from when I was growing up and was but a young lad. The comedy and match would be far better than anyone would expect. Alan, Fuego, and Aaron are damn good wrestlers and can work either seriously or comedy with the best of them. And the legends, Boogie, Rufus, and Bugsy, could do the same. Comedy was the gimmick, but when it came time to be serious, they excelled at that as well. As for the match itself, The Crazy Boogie Freight Train Express would win after about fifteen minutes of chaos. As for why, they’re legends. ‘Nuff said!

After he has his retirement match, will Tony Khan make Sting the first General Manager of AEW?

I could see this happening and it would be a good move by AEW, to have a figurehead leader for the brand, as well as cut down on Tony’s TV time and exposure, but my feeling is that Sting will probably just go home and take it easy after he does the last match. Maybe he’ll show up every so often for an appearance or special event, but I don’t see him being a regular part of AEW television anymore after he’s done.

Who would have a better chance of making a comeback to a major promotion, Velveteen Dream or Joey Ryan?

To a major promotion? Probably Patrick Clark, aka The Velveteen Dream, but to be honest, I truly do not believe that either man will ever be a factor in professional wrestling again, at least not for any major promotion.

On a recent episode of Dynamite, Chris Jericho had to come to the ring to make a save for Sammy Guevera and AEW had to keep Jericho’s song, Judas, playing the entire time, increasing the volumes to drown out the boos and chants of “NDA!” aimed at Jericho. Thoughts?

AEW is in denial and needs to address the Jericho situation. Playing the games and trying to pretend that everything is great and nothing is going on will only work for so long before it eventually blows up in everyone’s face. The whole Jericho/NDA story is a ticking time bomb and when it does blow up, AEW and Tony will only have themselves to blame.

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry versus Disco Inferno. Who wins?

Perry would be crying a river as the former WCW TV Champion, who is also a former Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion, would boogie on down and dance a mudhole all over the Real Glass Tarzan wannabe. Disco wins.

If Chris Jericho was released from AEW today, do you think WWE would hire him back and put him in a featured role?

As things stand right now, I don’t think WWE would touch Jericho with a fifty-foot pole, and not even for a Legend’s Deal or the Hall of Fame. Jericho is toxic right now and until the situations are addressed and dealt with, it’s better to just avoid the drama that is Jericho at the moment.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
