It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.
Why do people even watch WWE? I mean literally have to be drunk to watch it. It doesn’t get down like the WWF did!
Apparently, you’re still drunk with this question. People watch WWE because they love pro wrestling, like characters and stories, and find it entertaining. No, WWE today isn’t what the WWF was twenty years ago, but things change. Some things get better and other things don’t. WWE makes more money now and is worth far more now as a business than the WWF ever did so they must be doing something right, even if you don’t approve. Go back to the bar, have another drink, and go watch something else if you don’t like what WWE is doing. They won’t miss you.
So Seth beat Jinder. Does Jinder now head back to limbo? Thoughts?
I hope not, but only time will tell. I’m hoping that the renewed interest and push for Jinder will lead to some big things for the former WWE Champion. Maybe Jinder versus Gunther? One can only hope.
King Kong Angelo Mosca & Jos LeDuc versus Matt & Jeff, the Hardy Boyz. Who wins?
In their primes, Matt & Jeff would take a beating and then find a way to steal a big win in the end. It wouldn’t be pretty and Mosca & LeDuc, who were both big and monsters of men, would have their way with Jeff & Matt for the majority of the match, then sneaky would overcome brawn and a surprise move or quick double-team, essentially outsmarting the two veterans, would lead to a Team Extreme win.
Booker T recently revealed that he’s working on putting his life story to film. Would you be interested in seeing a movie about the 6-time World Champion?
Booker has had a very eventful life and career and it probably would make for an interesting movie or series. I’d rather read the book first, but that’s probably just me. If a movie about Booker is ever made, I’ll go see it.
TNA recently announced an expansion of its partnership with Lucha Libra AAA. Thoughts?
TNA and AAA have been working together off and on for nearly twenty years so this is no surprise, but business as usual. I’m happy for both companies and if it’s not broken, don’t try and fix it.
AJ Francis, FKA Top Dolla in WWE, is now part of TNA Wrestling. Thoughts?
I’ve never seen much in Francis, be it NXT, WWE, or now in TNA. I’m happy he’s got a job and maybe he’ll eventually show me something, but for now, all I can say is, “Eh!”.
What do you love most about Ultimate Warrior?
His ring gear was colorful. Aside from that, I have nothing. My bad!
Who was the best wrestler in the 70s to early 80s?
It’s a tough call. That was a great time for professional wrestling, especially here in the Carolinas. I’ll play it safe with the Toughest Man on God’s Green Earth, multiple-time NWA World Champion Harley Race.
Iron Sheik and Ivan Koloff, in their prime, versus The Authors of Pain, with Paul Ellering. Who wins?
Nothing against the AOP, but Sheik and Uncle Ivan were wrestling machines and two of the very best in the history of our business. Plus if I don’t say the right answer, my bro, Youngblood, will lay my ass out. Ivan Koloff & The Iron Sheik win.
Thoughts & memories of Ted Arcidi?
I remember him somewhat, but not much. He was a big man who had a legit claim to being known as the World’s Strongest Man, although Ken Patera and later, Mark Henry, might disagree with that title. The WWE used him as not quite an enhancement talent, but not quite a star either. Unfortunately, that’s all I have. I was a Crockett/Mid-Atlantic fan during that era and I didn’t watch WWF much. I read all of the Apter Mags of course, but aside from a mention here and there, Arcidi wasn’t a big name to me.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
