The third edition of The Ultimate Wrestling Q&A for today. Yes, I’m on a roll today. Are you ready to do this? Let’s roll.

Imagine if Haku was wrestling in his prime for AEW.

I can imagine it and he would be pushed to the moon, get over like Rover, and then as soon as he’s hitting his stride as a top guy, he’d be sent home for six months and forgotten while Tony plays with his other toys, just like every other top guy in AEW.

Ernie Ladd looked like he could have been a world champion, yet he also looked like he wrestled at about 50% of his talent. What’s your opinion of the big cat? How about the Cat vs Muraco?

Ernie had a great career, playing off his NFL career and with his great promo skills, but I get what you’re saying. Ladd was forced to retire from the NFL due to knee injuries and they hampered him during his entire career. He was never able to wrestle to his full potential but luckily had the size and speaking skills to make up for that. A true icon and legend of professional wrestling. As for The Cat versus Don Muraco. That would be an awesome match with two of the best. It would be a no-contest or DQ finish.

Who was worse? Angelo Mosca Jr., David Flair, or Bruno Sammartino Jr.?

Mosca Jr was good but didn’t have much charisma or personality. He also had a good build, but not nearly the size or power of his father, King Kong Mosca. Sammartino wasn’t bad either, but could never escape the shadow of his father. And poor David Flair. He wasn’t ready, had only the very basic training, and was just thrown in there on national television. David was the worst of the three.

Ole Anderson & Larry Zbyszko versus Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso. Who wins?

Two wrestling legends against two second-generation talents who are modern, but know the ways of old-school wrestling. This would be such a fun match, for both the old-school and modern fans. Ole and Larry would steal a win in the end.

So WWE is having a great week, with RAW going to Netflix, The Rock joining the Board of Directors, and everything looking great as we approach the Royal Rumble. And then this new lawsuit against Vince McMahon hits. What a buzz kill, right? Thoughts?

It is a major downer to what was otherwise a very good week for WWE. It’s a big story that has cast some major bad shadows on a historic week. This is very similar to what happened with AEW after the Wembley show. A major event, but it was overshadowed by the CM Punk/Jack Perry backstage fight. It seems as if WWE saw that and said, “Hold my beer!”. WWE announced a new deal with Netflix, added The Rock to the Board of Directors, and had the Royal Rumble, but all everyone is talking about is Vince and his pervy lawsuit. Calling it a buzz kill is putting it lightly.

Thoughts on Daniel Garcia? Is he a future main-event star for AEW or WWE?

I like this guy and he’s got personality and charisma to spare. He’s a good talent and I think he has a bright future. I think he needs to tone down some of the dancing and get a little more serious as he learns and develops as a performer, but he’s got all the potential in the world. I think we’ll see championship gold at some point in his future.

Kazuchika Okada was said to be considering either AEW or WWE, but he just showed up in TNA to team with the Motor City Machine Guns. So he’s TNA now? Thoughts?

From what I understand, the appearances with TNA are limited and it’s a short-term deal. Both AEW and WWE are apparently still possibilities.

No surprises in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. What’s up with that? Thoughts?

We did get Pat McAfee and Andrade, so it wasn’t free of surprises, but not having any stars from the past was kind of disappointing. I would have loved to see Ken Shamrock, Matt Cardona, or some other legend or hot star show up. I don’t get it, but I guess they had their reasons.

So Steve Austin comes back for a match at Wrestlemania. Who would be the perfect opponent?

Lexis King. He’s the son of Austin’s former tag team partner and best friend, plus he’s an up-and-coming star with NXT with a tremendous future ahead of him, plus the history and story write themselves. It would be an instant classic to be sure and would cement King as a top guy for the company.

Naomi is back in WWE, as is Andrade. Thoughts?

Neither is a real surprise as we knew they were coming, but it’s still good to see them back. Welcome home to both Andrade and Naomi. Congratulations.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for Vince inviting you into his office and presenting you with an NDA. I’ll see you at the matches.
