It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.
Should John Cena capture a 17th world title before retiring?
No, I don’t think so. Cena has cemented his legacy in WWE and professional wrestling. He doesn’t need another title and having one more run would take away from other wrestlers who are currently deserving of the opportunity.
Ivan Drago vs Clubber Lang. Who are you picking?
This isn’t technically a wrestling question, but Clubber Lang was portrayed by Mr. T, a WWE Hall of Famer, so I’ll answer. The Russian Fighting Machine versus Mr. T. Damn, with those two characters, would make for a great fight. It’s a tough call, but I think Drago would take Clubber out in about five rounds.
Chris Jericho versus Greg “The Hammer” Valentine. Who wins?
Jericho is a legend, but Greg is the Hammer. Valentine should and would win.
The lawyer for John Laurinaitis denies the allegations against him and claims that Laurinaitis was also a victim. Thoughts?
Johnny’s lawyer is full of it and grasping at straws. Johnny is no more a victim than Vince’s therapist, who also engaged in freaky sex with the lawsuit woman. What could Vince do to Ace if he didn’t cooperate and partake in activities with the woman? Beat him up? Ace is twenty years younger and stands 6’4 and 250 lbs. Fire him? Ace was an executive for All Japan and WCW, so he’d be able to find a job. He cooperated because he wanted to be part of it. Johnny Ace was NOT a victim and no one will ever believe it is.
Marty Jannetty was recently told by doctors that he needs to have his leg amputated. Thoughts?
I feel for Marty on this one. I’ve been through a similar situation and had my right leg amputated two years ago and it’s not something I’d wish on anyone. But I can honestly say that it’s not the end of the world and life goes on. I didn’t want to do it, but got tired of the pain, the doctors, the repeated hospital stays, etc. Think long and hard, Marty, and do what you feel is best, but isn’t it better to cut the losses and move on rather than continue to suffer and possibly end up dead? Here’s to a speedy recovery and a long and fruitful future and life.
Big Little Brawlers, on the Discovery Channel, beat AEW Collision in the ratings, 359,000 viewers to 300,000 viewers. So Midget Wrestling is bigger than AEW? Thoughts?
So fans would rather watch Midget Wrestling than AEW Collision. Why does this not surprise me? I know I prefer the tiny talents more than most of the confusion that is AEW and it seems I’m not alone. Sounds right to me.
If Okada were to come to WWE, who should his opponent for Wrestlemania be?
If Okada does come to WWE and is given a match at Mania, I’d go with possibly Okada taking on Baron Corbin. It’d be a solid match, with a prominent name, that would be a good way to get Okada over with the WWE/NXT crowd.
What WWE brand do you want to see Jade Cargill assigned to?
It doesn’t matter to me, but I would probably say RAW. The reason? Bianca Belair is part of Smackdown and since she and Jade tend to replicate each other in so many ways, they’d probably work best on different brands.
Stan Hansen versus Drew McIntyre. Who wins?
The Lariat versus The Claymore. These two men are similar in size and strength, but that’s where the similarities end. Hansen is a rough and tough brawler, while McIntyre is more of a power-mixed with grappling type of performer. It’d be one hell of a great match though. I think Drew would take the win for this one.
Tony Khan will have a big announcement on AEW Dynamite next week.
What do you think it is?
A new executive officer for the company named Mince VcMahon? The pending debut of Mercedes Mone’? A Forbidden Door event with the Big Little Brawlers? A free line of coke with every ticket purchase for Collision? All of the above or maybe none of the above. We’ll just have to wait until AEW Dynamite on Wednesday to find out.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. All comments, questions, and thoughts are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
