It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

“Iceman” King Parsons versus Black Bart. Who wins?

Two legendary old-school talents who I’m sure have probably wrestled hundreds of times in the old World Class territory. Black Bart with the Texas drawl and Parsons, so athletic and calling everyone a Rooty-Poo. This would be a fun match that could go either way, depending on who’s getting the big push that month. I think Parsons should win.

Kevin Owens allegedly worked the Royal Rumble match against Logan Paul with a broken foot. Thoughts?

All this proves is that Owens is a tough guy with the mentality that the show must go on. He and Paul had a damn good match and if Kevin was wrestling injured, you could never tell. Kudos to KO for going above and beyond.

According to Meltzer, Malakai Black, and Buddy Matthews, both want to go back to the WWE and take partner Brody King worth them. Thoughts?

Black is married to Zelina Vega while Matthews is engaged to Rhea Ripley, so would you blame them if they want to go back and be with their women? I wouldn’t. Plus look at their careers thus far in AEW with the stop/start pushes and chaotic booking. I take anything that Meltzer says with a grain of salt, but he may be right on this one.

Thoughts on Lord Alfred Hayes, as a wrestler, manager, and announcer.

I liked Hayes as a manager. I never had the chance to see him as an active wrestler though. I did see him wrestle a few times as a manager and he was rather impressive, but it was obvious that he wasn’t wrestling to his full potential and was there to make the local star, at the time Johnny Weaver, look good. As for being an announcer, he was top-notch at calling the action, and before he went to the WWF and became a joke, he was very good in any role that he was asked to do. Hayes was a tremendous wrestler in his day, and a prominent manager, and few could call the action better. ‘Nuff said!

From 1-10, rate MJF’s title reign and why.

I’ll give it a 6.5. It started well, but the shadow of CM Punk, who never lost the AEW Championship, as well as the dumb comedy at the end in the angle with Adam, all took their toll. MJF is a very talented guy, but with all that extra baggage to carry, plus being a “good guy” champion as well. It all added up and took its toll.

Blackjack Mulligan versus Sheamus. Who wins?

Both men are in their prime, this would be one hell of a great brawl. I’ll go with Blackjack Mulligan to take the win with the claw at the end of the night.

Natalya recently stated that she’d love to face Jordynne Grace for the Knockout’s Championship in TNA. Thoughts?

WWE isn’t doing much with Natalya at the moment so why not work out a deal and for a few months, allow TNA to pick up a portion of her salary while she goes to TNA and runs a program with Grace? It’d be a win-win for both companies, probably be a very good match, and would be a nice slap in the face to Tony Khan and AEW. It’s a win for everyone. Do it, Triple H.

Does Leilani Kai belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

Kai is an amazing person and a true wrestling legend. Yes, she absolutely does belong and it’s long overdue.

Will the women of WWE have an Elimination Chamber match? If so, who should be the five women involved in this match?

From what I understand, there will be a Women’s Elimination Chamber at the PLE in Australia and I’ve also heard that Rhea will be one of the featured ladies in this match, as she should be. SPOILER: On Smackdown, as I type this, Bayley just challenged Iyo Sky at Mania, and DAMAGE CTRL turned on her, so the Elimination Chamber match will be to determine who fights Rhea at Mania. I’d put Rhea in a singles match defending her title against Nia Jax at the EC PLE, while the women who compete to see who fights the champion at Mania, in the Elimination Chamber would be, Bianca Belair, Shotzi, Shayna Baszler, Jade Cargill, and Naomi.

So far, I haven’t seen anything about AEW and Jim Ross signing a new deal. If AEW doesn’t sign Ross to a new deal, should WWE sign Ross to a Legend’s Deal and use him for special appearances and doing commentary at Wrestlemania?

Jim Ross revealed yesterday that he had just had surgery on his hip for cancer removal so that may be the reason for delays on his new contract with AEW, which has now expired. Maybe a new deal and role for Ross is what Tony Khan’s upcoming big announcement next week is supposed to be about. Who knows, but I doubt it. If AEW does not give Ross a new contract, WWE should offer a Legend’s Deal and snap him up as quickly as possible, using him as an announcer at big events like Mania, while allowing him to do other projects for The Network and WWE.com when he’s available and able. Ross is too valuable a talent to let vanish and go away.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
