I just woke up and realized that tonight, live on Peacock and the WWE Network, is the NXT PLE Vengeance Day. And you know what that means, right? It’s prediction time. Six matches have been announced. Let’s roll.

Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals
Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker vs. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams

This will be a fun match. We have the unlikely pair of odd fellows in Corbin and Breakker taking on the long-time friends who are having trust issues in Hayes and Williams. So which team will hold it together long enough to come out on top? Common sense says Hayes and Williams, but my gut is saying Breakker and Corbin for some reason. Always go with the gut so I’m going with the odd couple for this one.

NXT Women’s Championship Match
Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Roxanne Perez

Perez, as of late, seems to be spending more time on the main roster trying to beat up Zelina Vega than down in NXT and I think that has to be factored in. Lyra Valkyria doesn’t do much for me, but anyone who can name themselves after a Norse Deity has to have something going for them. I think Lyra should retain her championship.

Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion: Lyra Valkyria.

NXT North American Championship
Oba Femi (c) vs. Dragon Lee

If a title is going to change hands, this will probably be the one in my opinion. Lee seems just on the verge of getting that big push in both NXT and on the main roster and seeing Oba Femi win this title a few weeks ago was a shocker. It just doesn’t feel right. I think Lee should get the win here and regain that North American Championship.

Winner and NEW NXT North American Champion: Dragon Lee.

NXT Championship
Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Trick Williams.

Williams is wrestling in two matches? I just caught that and it adds a big twist to the story. Will whatever happens in the tag team match affect this match? Will Trick even work both matches? All of the questions have to work in Dragunov’s favor. I think the NXT Championship will remain right where it is, around Dragunov’s waist.

Winner and STILL NXT Champion: Ilja Dragunov

The Family (Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Adriana Rizzo) vs. OTM (Lucien Price, Bronco Nima, and Jaida Parker) (with Scrypts)

Bad things happen when you cross The Family. Don’t do that! The Family wins.

Winners: The Family (Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Adriana Rizzo).

No Disqualification Match
Dijak vs. Joe Gacy

In a match where anything goes, never bet against a man named Gacy. Also, never go under the house into the crawlspace. This one will be crazy and chaotic, or as Gordon Solie used to say, “A Pier Six Brawl!”. Joe Gacy should win.

Winner: Joe Gacy
