Let the show roll on. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

Thoughts on Giant Haystacks, aka Loch Ness in WCW.

My knowledge of Giant Haystacks, who was a top star in the UK for many years, is limited. I saw him appear as Loch Ness in WCW and while he was only there for a short while, he caught my attention. He was older, in his fifties, but standing at 6’11, he was a monster of a man. At this point, I knew nothing of his prior career in the UK, but he had a great history and past before traveling across the pond to WCW. I don’t think he was all that in the ring and I never heard him talk, but based just on the look and character alone, he could have been a major special attraction. Unfortunately, not long after joining WCW, he was diagnosed with cancer and forced to go back to the UK where he retired and passed away not long afterward. He had a great career in the UK and so far as his career in WCW goes, all we can do is imagine what if?

Would The Garcia Twins, fka The Bella Twins, elevate the AEW Women’s platform?

Nikki & Brie would add eyes to the AEW product. I have no doubts about that as they’ve got a strong fan base and presence from the reality shows. Would it elevate the product? Maybe for a short time, but so far as a long-term situation, if Edge couldn’t do it, I doubt Nikki or Brie would have much success either.

Where is David Otunga? Is he still with WWE?

According to his Wikipedia page, Otunga is no longer with the WWE but is instead focusing on his acting career, having played roles on General Hospital and the She-Hulk series on Disney Plus. His last appearance in WWE on Smackdown was in August 2019. For some reason, I think I saw him on a pre-PLE panel discussion at some point since then, but I’m not sure about that. Otunga wasn’t much of a wrestler in my opinion, but he had a good look and the idea of a wrestling lawyer was intriguing. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him pop up at some point in an angle or cameo.

Roman Reigns. Do you think it’s important for him to pass Hulk Hogan’s record? Is it worth a few more months of him as Champion just to get to 3rd place in the record books?

I don’t think the idea of beating Hogan’s record is a big deal, but maybe it’s just me. Hogan was in a different era and time and while being the champion longer would look nice on the resume, I don’t see it as all that important. I’d rather see Roman wrestling more often, defending the title, and being presented as a fighting champion rather than a part-timer who can’t win a match without help. If he can’t do that, they need to put the title on someone else.

The Great Khali, Umaga, and Viscera versus Gillberg, James Ellsworth, and Akito Tozawa. Who wins?

The entrances and the visual picture of this would be great. The match itself though would be brutal. And the big guys would win.

Who is your favorite female WWE Superstar of all time?

Easy answer and anyone who’s been reading my stuff for more than a month can already answer. Lisa Moretti, aka Ivory.

What’s your one-word reaction to Ryback?

Dipshit!

Jim Ross had surgery again for the second time in four days. Should Ross go ahead and retire from wrestling for good?

A full retirement would probably not be a good idea. A person needs motivation and incentive in their lives to keep on keeping on. Words of experience on that. But, given his repeated health issues, and I hate to say this, maybe a break from television and announcing could be a good thing. Keep up the podcast with Conrad and maybe do the occasional special appearance for interviews or big events, but less may need to be more. Ross needs to focus on his health and recovery above everything else and if walking away from the business for a while is what it takes, so be it.

Have you heard about the lawsuit for plagiarism lawsuit by Anthony Duane Wilson against both AEW and WWE for allegedly stealing his ideas and characters, and damaging his career? This clown is trying to get $250,000,000. Thoughts?

I’ve heard the story and well, all I can say is bullshit. This whole thing is a farce and joke and this clown has absolutely no credibility. The basis of his claims is that AEW and WWE “stole his creative ideas” and “damaged his reputation”. A person has to have a reputation before it can be damaged. As for stealing ideas, I guess I could make the same claim because I’ve been writing about wrestling for nearly 25 years, for various sites, and I’ve seen ideas and stories that I spoke of and thought about play out on TV as well. It’s called being a fan and speculating and guessing correctly what direction the wrestling company is going with a story or angle. By this clown’s way of thinking, WWE owes me about $500,000,000. AEW doesn’t owe me anything because they don’t listen to ideas or suggestions that make sense or are logical storytelling. But anyhow, this lawsuit and the jabroni filing it will probably get thrown out of court, again, as it should. And if not, I’ll be waiting for my share and check. What a maroon!

With The Rock coming back and being handed one of the title shots at Mania and Cody going on to work with Seth Rollins what is the point of the men’s Elimination Chamber match? Roman won’t be on the show, so what’s the draw?

The draw is Rhea Ripley and getting to showcase Mami at a PLE in her native Australia. But in regards to what the point of the Elimination Chamber matches, I have no idea.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll be back later this afternoon with more stuff. The marathon continues. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
