It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

CM Punk versus Raven. Who wins?

Raven versus Punk, both in their primes, would be an amazing battle of ring psychology and wits. It’d be good action as well, but the promos and the mind games would rule the day. Tough call here, but I’ll go with Raven on this one.

So how about this? The Rock beats Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 40 on Sunday night. Damion Priest cashes in MITB on the Rock immediately after the match to win the Universal Championship. Then on Monday, at RAW, Cody beats Priest to win the title and finish the story. Thoughts?

It’d be an interesting twist and I’ll admit it. I’d pop, but truthfully, it would kind of suck for Damion Priest. I’d love to see him get a bigger run with the title and the opportunity to be at the top. But aside from that, it’s as good a plan as anything else I’ve heard suggested.

Joe Gacy impressed me at Vengeance Day. He kind of reminds me of a younger Bray Wyatt. Thoughts?

He impressed me as well and I’d love to see him get a bigger push on the main roster. I can see the resemblance to Bray as well and if The Wyatt Family was still alive, I think Gacy would fit in quite well. The kid has a big future.

Did you Like Hulk Hogan’s Cartoon show?

Hulk Hogan’s Rock & Wrestling was a fun cartoon to watch and yes, I liked it. Admittedly, at the time, I was obsessed with pro wrestling, and any movie, cartoon, book, magazine, or show that featured wrestlers immediately caught my eye.

Thoughts on Wayne Bloom & Mike Enos, aka The Beverly Brothers?

Whether it was in the AWA as the Destruction Crew, the last AWA Tag Team Champions, as the Minnesota Wrecking Crew II in WCW, or the Beverly Brothers in WWE, Wayne Bloom & Mike Enos were a damn good tag team. Two talented wrestlers from Minnesota and the training facility of Eddie Sharkey, these guys could talk & wrestle, but never got the credit they deserved. A solid tag team that rarely failed to deliver.

Thoughts on Bobo Brazil?

I never had a chance to see Bobo Brazil wrestle and only know of him through old wrestling magazines and the stories I’ve heard from people like Jim Cornette, Dutch Mantell, Bobby Heenan, etc. But from what I understand, he was a tough dude, the first black World Champion, as recognized by the Sheik’s mid-west promotion, and a wrestling legend. I think he wrestled Bruno a few times in the old WWWF. Apart from that, my knowledge of this wrestling icon is highly limited.

What was your favorite memory of Vader growing up?

The first memory that comes to mind is when Vader Vader-bombed an enhancement wrestler, Joe Thurman, on the concrete floor at a WCW Saturday Night taping. Thurman suffered a broken back and never wrestled again. Vader proved then, albeit not intentionally, that he was a legit beast and not someone to take lightly.

Hot Stuff & Hyatt International (Eddie Gilbert, Hollywood John Tatum, Sting, Rick Steiner) w/ Missy Hyatt & Jack Victory versus Right To Censor (Stevie Richards, Val Venis, The Goodfather, Bull Buchanan), with Ivory. Who wins?

This would be a dream match for me just to see Missy and Ivory clash and catfight outside the ring. There’s a match in the ring? Oh yeah, I forgot lol. I think the numbers game and the extra presence of Jack Victory outside the ring would make the difference. A big win for Hot Stuff & Hyatt International.

Is Wardlow damaged goods in AEW or can he be made hot again?

The longer he remains in AEW with the stop/start pushing and the inconsistent character and behaviors, the worse things seem to become. If AEW has a solid booker who knows how to write and book wrestling, Wardlow could be saved. If he were to go to TNA or WWE, he could be saved and be a top star. So long as things stay as they are in AEW, Wardlow is damaged goods.

Kurt Angle, who won a Gold Medal in the Olympics, is a fantastic amateur and technical wrestler. Probably it’s hard to beat Kurt in pure wrestling or shoot. If you could pick any shooter or wrestler from the past who could beat Kurt, who would be your choice?

The first names that came to mind here were Verne Gagne, Lou Thesz, Brock Lesnar, and Billy Robinson. Maybe Danny Hodge too.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
