It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

From Fuego Del Sol: “The Vlog Crew group chat has tossed around the idea of running our own independent show… I wonder if any sponsors would be interested in making this a reality.” Thoughts?

An independent wrestling event, maybe an IPPV, featuring many of the numerous talents who have graced the Sammy Guevera VLOG series over the past several years. Just think of the names. From AEW, we’d have Sammy Guevera, Tay Conti, Powerhouse Hobbs, Aaron Solow, Negative One, and Griff Garrison. Coming in from TNA, it’s Alan Angels. We’d get QT Marshall, Marko Stunt & Fuego Del Sol. It would be entertaining to see. If I had the money, I’d be saying for Fuego, Sammy, and the others to call me and let’s talk. I hope it can happen.

How would you react if Cody Rhodes were to use his Royal Rumble win to challenge Ilja Dragunov for the WWE NXT Championship at WrestleMania instead of either Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins?

Last night, at the Wrestlemania XL Kickoff, Cody made his decision and all hell broke loose. But that being said if Cody had pulled the swerve and picked Dragunov, it would have been pretty damn cool in my eyes. There is precedent for this when Charlotte Flair used the Rumble win to challenge Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship in 2000. That was an awesome match, and Cody did the same with Dragunov, it would have been epic.

Brian Pillman’s estate signs Legends contract with WWE. Thoughts?

Good for them. It’ll allow Pillman’s family to make some money, for Pillman’s legacy and career to be presented to a new generation of fans, and possibly lead to an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame for the legendary Loose Cannon. This is a win for all parties involved in my opinion.

Between AEW and WWE, are you primarily a fan of WWE or AEW or a mix of both or neither?

Between the two companies, I’m far more of a WWE guy. I like long-term storytelling and characters, and while they’ve had rough moments in the past, WWE has been on the ball with those factors over the past few years, especially since Triple H took over as the head of Creative.

Chris Masters versus Bobby Lashley. Who wins?

A battle of the full-nelson finishes. I’m a big fan of Masters, as everyone knows. That being said, Lashley is the bigger star and has more variety in his offense. This would be a fun match, but the outcome isn’t in any doubt. Lashley wins.

Who do you most want to beat Roman Reigns for the title?

Of the most notable options, I’m pulling for Cody to win it at Mania. But who I truly want most to come in, face Roman in a challenge, and win that title, would be The King of the Death Matches, the Indy God, Matt Cardona.

What’s your general satisfaction level with AEW’s product taking into account the last three months?

I can’t watch it. I’ll watch clips on YouTube and read the recaps, but for the most part, it’s just unwatchable and bad. Real bad! I keep trying to keep an open mind and be positive, but they (AEW) make it hard. Very hard.

What’s your general satisfaction level with WWE’s product taking into account the last three months?

We’re on the road to Wrestlemania and almost everything has been full of twists and turns. It’s a lot of must-see promos and developing storylines going from week to week as WWE builds to the biggest show of the year. They’ve been doing well and I like it.

According to PW Insider, Kamille has had “deep discussions” with AEW and that is now believed to be her destined choice. Thoughts?

As good as Kamille is, if she goes to WWE, she’ll be sent to NXT to start and will be just another very talented performer in a group of talented performers. In AEW, she’ll probably make more money and have plenty of time for other projects, especially once the new wears off and she’s sitting at home waiting for Tony to remember she can wrestle and exists.

There is talk of CM Punk working as a commentator for WWE while he recovers from his injuries. Good idea or nay?

It’s a very good idea, but not full-time. Punk is a great talker and can do commentary better than 98% of the talents that do it full-time. Bringing him in to do spots, poke the bear a little bit, and putting over talents from the announce table, would be a great way to keep him in the mix and the eyes of fans while he recovers from his injuries. The reason I don’t want him full-time is that less is more sometimes, and making the appearances sporadic makes each one feel special and important. Punk can stay in the picture, but won’t have to worry about being over-exposed. It’s a win-win deal for both Punk and WWE.
