A few words of wisdom before I head down to the river. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and if you have any questions, I have all the answers. Let’s roll.

Do you see Daddy Magic turning on Danny Garcia at some point?

At some point, it’ll happen. What else are these two guys going to do?

Is there any chance Triple H’s heart could let him work one more match against The Rock?

I remember Bret Hart having a match against Vince McMahon not long after having a stroke so with the proper smoke and mirrors, it could happen. That being said, I don’t think Triple H is willing to take the chance on his health, nor would a match like that go over well with the fans. Triple H, and the Rock for that matter, are held to a higher standard than most other wrestlers and if they couldn’t do what they used to be able to do, the fans would crap all over the match. I don’t think it will ever happen.

Given the surprise firing of Scott D’Amore, where do you think he goes next? Could we possibly see him join AEW, WWE, or even NJPW?

From what I understand, D’Amore’s family is extremely well off and he doesn’t “need” to go anywhere if he doesn’t want to. Tony Khan and AEW would be extremely fortunate if they were able to get D’Amore to join their company and he would do well with WWE also. For the time being though, I don’t expect him to sign with anyone, but when he is ready to get back into the game, the place I’d most like to see him show up is with Billy Corgan and the NWA.

Am I getting my hopes up or is Drew booting Seth for the belt at Mania?

It’s still too early to make that prediction, but it sure looks as if WWE is headed in that direction. And yes, I’d like to see that happen too.

Why is Tanahashi such a beacon of joy?

Hanging out with Tony Khan and backstage at AEW, how can he not be Mr. Smiley all the time?

He had big highs and big lows. Vince Russo has to be in a Wrestling Hall of Fame, right?

I’m sure that somewhere, in someone’s opinion, he’s considered a no-brainer inductee to a wrestling Hall of Fame. I’m not discounting his contributions to the world of professional wrestling, both good and bad. No one can deny he had a strong impact on the business, especially during the Attitude Era and Monday Night Wars. Would he be in my Hall of Fame? Maybe if The Yeti and Nitro Girl Spice were busy that week and I had no one else, but aside from that, I doubt it.

What would be your list of the top 10 worst managers in wrestling and why?

Though I’ve seen dozens of managers and valets, especially on the Indy scene, that are beyond terrible and have no reason to be allowed at a show or in a locker room, I’ll stick with names that the average fan might recognize and know. And as for why they are bad, they just were and that is all the people need to know. Right off the top of my head, the ten worst managers would be Sonny Onoo, The Coach (John Tolos), Marlena, Terri Runnels, Yamaguchi San (Kaienti), Oscar, Sapphire, Hiro Matsuda (J-Tex), Jake Roberts, and Jimmy Holiday.

Could AEW sign Brock Lesnar if he leaves WWE?

Yes, AEW and Tony Khan could sign Brock. Would they? After the smoke dies down and the fallout from the Vince/WWE scandal settles, it would not surprise me a bit to see Tony Khan offering Brock a big-money contract so he can come to AEW and “rehabilitate” his reputation and career. Brock would probably laugh in his face, but if the money is right, I could see Brock as All Elite.

Should Wrestlemania have a halftime show?

Wrestlemania already runs four to five hours each night as it is. And a halftime show would add at least another 20-30 minutes to the event. It’s a fun idea, but in my opinion, the answer would be no.

What went wrong with Chris Masters in WWE?

In the early runs, Chris was young and green and the main thing he had going for him was his size and physique. He had the look but wasn’t ready for the rest of it yet. And then, he got off the juice and didn’t have the size to stand out. He was just another guy on the roster. I think Masters in the WWE now would be a different story and he’d do well as a strong mid-card talent, but during the earlier runs, he wasn’t quite ready for that spotlight yet.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap this up.
