It’s the only wrestling Q&A that matters, the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your host, Doug, and I’m cleaning out my mailbox. Let’s roll.
Cowboy Bill Watts versus Brock Lesnar. Who wins?
Bill Watts was a big, tough, rough, and rowdy Cowboy to be sure, but Brock is a legit beast and monster of a man. Brock Lesnar with this one.
Who is the better heel, 1996 Hulk Hogan or 2020 Roman Reigns?
As great as Roman has been in his role as the Tribal Chief and the Head of the Table, when Hogan turned heel and joined the nWo, it shocked the world. We finally learned what Bobby Heenan had been talking about for decades and Hogan played it up to the max. We finally saw the real Hollywood Hogan and he set the bar for every heel turn that has followed.
Should Seth Rollins dress and act more seriously for Wrestlemania season?
Seth Rollins should be Seth Rollins. The clowning antics and craziness are part of what makes Seth stand out and special. He has proven that he can be serious when needed and the rest of the time, he’s Seth. What more should we expect?
Do you think Liv Morgan’s revenge tour could end with another championship reign?
It probably will, but does anyone truly care? Liv is not a strong performer in my opinion and honestly, I had forgotten about her until she showed up at the Rumble. She’s a pretty girl and the guys like her, but to me, she’s not an important part of the roster and is just a filler.
Who is a bigger star? Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson or Taylor Swift. Yes, Meltzer was talking about this and he says, Swift. Who would you say?
Currently, the nod would go to Swift, but in the big picture of things, and the long game, The Rock is and continues to be the most electrifying man in entertainment, and if anyone truly believes that Swift is a bigger and more talented star, they can take that opinion, shine it up really nice, and take that opinion and shove it straight up their candy asses.
According to Dave Meltzer: Kurt Angle never had the “right opponent” for a 5-star match. Kurt Angle’s opponents: HBK, Undertaker, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Brock Lesnar, Edge, The Rock, Triple H, & Stone Cold Steve Austin, just to name a few. Thoughts?
All the 5-star ratings are just based on Meltzer’s opinions and it’s obvious he’s not the most mentally stable or enlightened person in existence. In other words, who the hell cares what Meltzer thinks? We, the fans, know better.
LA Knight and Solo Sikoa were red hot six months ago but both seem to have cooled off considerably. What would you do with both men at Wrestlemania XL?
If LA Knight doesn’t win the Elimination Chamber, and I don’t think he will, just have Knight and Solo fight in a Singles Match over a shampoo commercial. If it was good enough for Edge and Booker T, it’s good enough for Solo & Knight.
What do you make of online discourse being Tony Khan, “poaching” talent from New Japan? Abuse of a working relationship, or fairly signing talent that was leaving anyway and just would’ve gone to WWE anyway?
Tony is just going through the New Japan toybox and picking out the shiny new toys he wants to take home with him to AEW. Taking advantage of the relationship between NJPW and AEW? Yeah, you can say that.
With Will Ospreay potentially making his proper AEW debut soon, do you see him getting into the World title picture by August & then having a match against whoever is champion by All In Wembley and winning the big one there?
That makes sense and would qualify as good storytelling and good booking. Expecting that kind of long-range planning from AEW is not the ordinary way of doing things, but it’s sensible and would be a good way of doing things. Let’s hope that someone from AEW is reading and paying attention. Most likely, we get Ospreay getting into a brawl from out of nowhere with Orange Cassidy on the episode of Dynamite a week before the All-In event and that match getting thrown together instead. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
What do you think about Seth possibly stabbing Cody in the back during the Mania main event, leading to Roman retaining? Similar to the split up of the Shield, is Rollins truly to be trusted?
Seth turns on Cody and helps Roman and we have a 2/3 reunion of The Shield. That sounds intriguing and could be fun to see. I don’t think it will happen, but it sounds like it could be fun anyhow.
