And here we go with the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

Despite the horrific stories coming out against Vince and others, WWE seems to be on an up-and-up trajectory, building goodwill and strong matches. Much of the spotlight has moved away from AEW to fresh matches in WWE. What does AEW have to do to swing it back the other way?

Build stories, build characters, be consistent, and put on some good, entertaining television programming. Yes, it truly is just that simple.

QT Marshall is back with AEW. Thoughts?

I was surprised to see this, but I guess helping to reopen Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling, running the Nightmare Factory, and working the occasional Independent show wasn’t enough to fill up Marshall’s day and he needed more. I’m sure that the big paycheck doesn’t hurt either. From what I understand, Marshall’s role will be strictly the scenes and not as an active wrestler. He can do the wrestling for Turnbuckle. It’s an interesting career move for Marshall, but whatever works, right?

Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin are the NEW WWE NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Thoughts?

They’re an odd tag team, but I like it. They work well together and have great chemistry, which allows Corbin to continue to rebuild his character while allowing Breakker to learn from one of the most talented guys on the roster. Most likely, since Bron signed with Smackdown as part of the main roster last week, we’ll get to see Bron & Corbin defend those titles on both Smackdown and NXT, which is a good thing as well since the Judgment Day, the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, are primarily RAW talents. This spices up the tag team scene for Smackdown. It’s cool.

There are rumors that The Rock may pick himself to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, playing on his heel turn and role on the TKO Board of Directors. Should Rock go into the WWE HOF this year?

The Rock is a big enough star for WWE that he can go into the Hall of Fame whenever he’s ready to do so and that’s a fact. But using his new role as a member of the TKO Board of Directors to do his own Induction, that’s pretty heelish and would be a nice swerve. I don’t want them to do this, but it would be a nice twist on things.

The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase recently said, talking about Vince McMahon, “Money can’t buy integrity and Vince McMahon has absolutely none of it”. Thoughts?

Ted DiBiase is in the middle of a money laundering scandal where his son gave him money that was marked for charity and he’s talking about integrity? That is called hypocrisy and DiBiase is reeking of it in this discussion. Ted owes the majority of his career and success to Vince and should remember that. Ted may preach the gospel, but he’s not an angel by any means and probably shouldn’t talk.

What was the point of bringing Carlito back again? I can’t even say he’s ”lost in the shuffle”. ”. It seems like WWE and Paul Levesque completely gave up on him. Thoughts?

I’ve wondered about this myself. Carlito was brought back and he got a big pop, but he’s had what? Maybe five matches if that many since making his return. It doesn’t make sense. Maybe WWE has plans for after Wrestlemania for Carlito and is just biding their time? I hope that’s the case, but the way they’ve used him so far since his return, it’s almost like Tony Khan’s booking. Sad!

Rick Martel versus Austin Theory. Who wins?

Theory is damn good and he’s going to be a big star one day. There is no denying that. But against a former AWA World Champion and great talent like Martel? Theory would be tapping out and vowing revenge after about twenty minutes of an excellent match.

Is it just me or has anyone else started feeling “Rock Fatigue” already? He just came back and I’m already tired of him hogging the spotlight and being around so much. I know I’m not the only one. Thoughts?

The Rock is great in small doses, but yes, he has been a little overwhelming and overexposed since his return, at least in my opinion. I’m a fan to be sure, but a little Rock goes a long way and he tends to overshadow the other wrestlers. His character seems forced, especially as he tries to play heel. It’s a little hard to handle sometimes.

Hillbilly Jim versus Elias. Who wins?

Hillbilly Jim and you know why? Because you don’t go messing with a country boy. ‘Nuff said!

Bron Breakker is now officially part of the Smackdown roster, but he also is a co-holder of the NXT Tag Team Championship with Baron Corbin. So is he on the main roster or NXT? Thoughts?

I think I answered this in the previous question at the top of the column, but I’ll do it again. So long as Breakker is a coholder of the NXT Tag Team Champions, I suspect he’ll be going back and forth between both the NXT and main roster. So essentially, he’s a member of both rosters.
