It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your Guiding Light and party host, Doug. Any questions? I have the answers. Let’s roll.

Paul “Butcher” Vachon passed away today. Thoughts & memories of the AWA Legend?

I really don’t have any. I knew Butcher Vachon from the Apter Mags and a few appearances in WWF, but that’s it. I think he had a wrestling wedding on an episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event, and I know he was the father of Luna Vachon. But that being said, he was a tough guy with a great history in the AWA and left behind a strong legacy. RIP Butcher Vachon.

Would you rather see Gunther defend his Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania against a single opponent or a multi-man match? Who would you choose to be the opponent or opponents?

I prefer the one-on-one matches with a single opponent, but if WWE does decide to go with the multi-man Ladder Match for one of the defending champions, Gunther would be the one to use. If Gunther only has one opponent, I’d go with a returning Sheamus or perhaps Jinder Mahal as the challenger. If it’s a multi-man match, maybe with a ladder, I’d have Gunther defend against Chad Gable, Jinder Mahal, Sheamus, Dominik Mysterio, and Bronson Reed.

Is Bron Breakker the next Brock Lesnar?

He could be if WWE decides to go in direction. Breakker has the body, the skills, the legacy, and the character to be the next big thing. He has all the tools to step into Brock’s very large shoes. I’d like to see it happen.

19 CMLL Wrestlers are in danger of having their VISAs revoked due to issues between CMLL and their U.S. sponsor, Full Blown Pro Wrestling. Thoughts?

CMLL and Full Blown Pro Wrestling have had a falling out and quite a large number of wrestlers are paying for it. I guess this is one of those things that happens sometimes when dealing with legal issues and Work Visas. Maybe Tony Khan and AEW can step in and help out. Regardless of whichever U.S. promoter helps out, this isn’t a problem that can be solved overnight. Not having access to the CMLL wrestlers is going to cause disruptions for companies like AEW and their upcoming Forbidden Door PPV event. It’s going to be interesting to see how all of this is resolved.

Thoughts on AEW Revolution and Sting’s last match?

The show itself was far better than I expected it to be. It was still too long and some of the matches made little sense to me, but they did a good job. So far as Sting’s last match, AEW got it right. That one spot with Darby Allin going through the glass was unnecessary and idiotic, but aside from that, no real complaints. It was a fitting farewell for the Icon.

Imagine Gunther vs. Lars Sullivan at WrestleMania 40.

Okay, I’ve imagined it. Now what? If Sullivan had worked out and stuck around, this probably would have been a good match. But Lars, despite all of his potential, had issues and didn’t work out so he ended up leaving the business. Now, all we can do is just wonder, “What if?”.

How would Moose fare in WWE?

WWE has looked at Moose several times over the past few years and has never seemed to show much interest in the current TNA Champion. I don’t know if it was the character, the poor promo skills, or something in his background, but they had the options and passed. If he had been hired, I think he would have had to undergo a name change and then would be part of a mid-card, C-level tag team at best. I can’t see Moose having much success in WWE.

Could Kalisto have made a good WWE Champion?

I just can’t see it. Kalisto was a good performer and I believe he had a few Championship moments in WWE, but the WWE Championship? I just can’t see that ever happening.

Name a tag team that’s not talked about among the greats but should have an honorable mention.

Three tag teams immediately came to mind when I saw this question. Two are from the Mid-Atlantic/Crockett days and were very successful in their runs with the NWA Tag Team Championship titles from the late 70s/early 80s era. One is Sgt. Slaughter & Don Kernodle. The other would be Paul Jones and the Masked Superstar. And the final team that popped into my head was a little more recent. In WCW, for a while, Bobby Eaton and Lord Steven (William) Regal were teamed up as the Blue Bloods. If this team had been used seriously, they would have dominated the company. Very underrated, but so damn good.

Who Wins: Sting & Darby Allin Vs The Uso Twinz?

Did Jimmy & Jey ever use that monicker, The Uso Twinz? I don’t think so. But I know who you’re talking about and regardless of the name being used, they’re one of the most consistent and entertaining tag teams of the past decade. Sting and Darby were a good tag team and had a decent run in AEW, but as a team, can they even compare to the Usos? I don’t think so. Jimmy & Jey, the Usos, win.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And I guess I’m wrapping this up for now. I’ll have more stuff coming later tonight. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
