It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and you’re not. Let’s roll.

Allegedly, Sammy Guevera has been suspended by AEW for violation of their Concussion Protocols in the match against Jeff Hardy. Thoughts?

From what I understand, this is because, after the initial injury where Sammy nailed Jeff in the face and broke his nose, Sammy proceeded to keep going and delivered a GTH to Jeff to finish the match. My question is why didn’t the referee or the ringside doctors stop the match before Sammy went for the GTH? Yes, Sammy was in the wrong to deliver that final move to end the match, but he was just ending the match as planned. The referee didn’t step in and stop him or declare the match over. I place the blame on the referee and ringside doctors more than I do Sammy. The referee, at least, should be suspended as well because it’s not the first time he’s allowed a match to continue when someone was unable to continue. Sammy messed up, but he’s just a wrestler. He’s not the one with the authority to make a decision or change the match ending. That falls on the referee, the doctors, or Tony Khan.

Bull Nakano is the second member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024. Thoughts?

Nakano only had short runs in the WWF and WCW, but she was famous worldwide as one of the best talents Japan had to offer and was way ahead of her time for Women’s professional wrestling. Her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame is well deserved. Congratulations to a true legend of the squared circle and professional wrestling.

First, they acknowledge the death of Ole Anderson on RAW and then they mention Sting’s last match in AEW the next week on RAW. What do you think Vince McMahon is thinking about all of this?

I’m sure that if Vince is even aware of all of this, he’s probably blowing a fuse and griping about it. Vince is a petty dude sometimes and I doubt he’s happy. But he sold the company and did his thing and he’s not a part of WWE or TKO at all anymore so, as the Rock would say, it doesn’t matter what he thinks. It’s Triple H and TKO’s toy to play with now and acknowledging Sting and Ole, it was the right thing to do.

Who should be the next AEW Tag Team Champions?

Since Ricky Starks and Big Bill have seemingly vanished into AEW limbo, I guess that the next champions will be Matthew and Nicholas, aka The Young Bucks. I’d love to see either FTR or the team of Jay Lethal/Mark Briscoe get a run with the titles, but I suspect that the EVPs will be the next ones in line.

What is something in pro wrestling that everyone can agree on?

I can think of two things. R-Truth is a national treasure and Vince McMahon is a creepy-ass dude.

Is Rikishi needed in the Bloodline storyline?

Not really, but given the whole “family” deal, plus the fact that his two sons, Jey & Jimmy, are feuding and may be fighting at Wrestlemania, it makes sense to have him get involved.

Rick Rude & Ted DiBiase versus Jake Roberts & Mr. Perfect. Who wins?

I’d have to go with Rude and DiBiase on this one. Roberts and Hennig are so different, I can’t see them working well as a team. Rude and DiBiase though, would go well together and I think their styles would mesh better.

Who do you want to see Toni Storm work with next?

Easy answer since she keeps calling her out. Wendi Richter. Okay, maybe not since I doubt Wendi is in wrestling shape. How about Dr. Britt Baker?

Bully Ray recently commented that WWE could give Sting a better send-off as a retirement match with Sting versus The Undertaker. Would you like to see WWE make that happen?

It would require The Undertaker coming out of retirement and probably a lot of money to make it happen, but if WWE and Triple H could pull it off, even now, I’d like to see it.

Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin versus Bobby Eaton & Larry Zbyszko. Who wins?

Bron and Corbin are a good team and are quickly becoming one of my favorite teams currently on the WWE/NXT roster. But against Beautiful Bobby and the Living Legend? It’d be a damn good match and I’m sure that Bobby and Larry would take a beating for most of the match, to make the kids look good, but when that final bell was ringing, it would be Bobby & Larry getting their arms raised in victory.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap this up. Be good and watch out for wild Samoans. I’ll see you at the matches.
