Wrestlemania weekend is finally here. It’s two nights of action live on PPV and the Network/Peacock and the card is stacked. Of course, that means it’s prediction time. Night one on Saturday. Let’s roll.

Roman Reigns and The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins

A tag team match with the stipulation that if Cody and Seth win, then all members of the Bloodline are barred from ringside during the Cody-Roman match on Night 2. And if The Rock and Roman win, then the Cody-Roman match is Bloodline Rules. While the one-on-one match is interesting, I think the craziness of the Bloodline Rules match makes more sense. This one goes to The Head of the Table and the Final Boss.

Winners: The Rock & Roman Reigns.

Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs. Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio.

This match just seems rushed to me even though the LWO versus Legado Del Fantasma seems to have been going on forever. It could go either way and I expect that we’ll see members of both factions getting involved. I really can’t choose so we’ll flip a coin on this one. Heads for the LWO team and tails for Dom & friends. Tails it is.

Winners: Dominik Mysterio & Santos Escobar.

Women’s World Heavyweight Title Match: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Becky Lynch.

As awesome as Becky, aka ‘the Man’, is, this one can only go one way in my opinion. Mami always comes out on top.

Winner and STILL WWE Women’s World Champion: Rhea Ripley.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Gunther (c) vs. Sami Zayn.

Having Sami win and get the IC title would be a great story and a great WrestleMania moment. Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen.

Winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion: GUNTHER

Undisputed Tag Team Titles Six-Pack Ladder Match: Finn Balor & Damian Priest (c) vs. DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller vs. Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate.

From what I understand, this match will continue until both sets of title belts are pulled down and thus, we’ll most likely end up with two sets of tag team champions, one for Raw and one for Smackdown. I’d love to see Judgment Day keep their titles, but the odds are stacked against them in this match. I expect that we’ll see Awesome Truth, Miz & R-Truth, end up with one set of tag team championship titles. And the other team? I’d love to see Theory & Waller come out with some gold in their hands. So there you go.

Winners and NEW RAW Tag Team Champions: The Awesome Truth (Miz & R-Truth).
Winners and NEW Smackdown Tag Team Champions: Austin Theory & Grayson Waller.

Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso.

I expect to see Solo Sikoa get involved in this one and since he’s been seen in Philly already, most likely Rikishi as well. It’s hard to pick a winner, but this should be a damn good match. Let’s go with Jey for this one.

Winner: Jey Uso.

Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill vs. Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane).

Do you really think Jade Cargill is going to lose in her Wrestlemania debut? Or that Bianca is going to take a loss here? It’s not going to happen. Damage CTRL is awesome, but this will not be a good weekend for the faction.

Winners: Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill.

And there you go with my predictions for Night One of Wrestlemania 40. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. What are your predictions? Let me know in the comments. And with that, let’s wrap things up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for new members of The Bloodline and I’ll see you at the matches.
