It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

Who threw the greatest and cleanest dropkick in the history of the wrestling business?

Two names immediately come to mind. One would be Bob Holly. He may not have been the best wrestler or nicest person in the WWE during the Attitude Era, but he easily had one of the best dropkicks. And the other? Former AWA star Jim Brunzell. If you can find a video of his time as one-half of the High Flyers with Greg Gagne, you’ll see that Brunzell had an amazing dropkick that was always right on target. It was easily one of the best of that era.

The ‘Who Killed WCW?’ Docuseries To Be Produced By The Rock, Premieres On June 4. In your opinion, who killed WCW?

AOL/Time Warner killed WCW. They didn’t want wrestling on their television network despite the ratings and when executive Jamie Kellner pulled the TV from WCW, that was the killing blow. Yes, the company was on life support before this moment, but there was always a chance for a recovery… until the TV was taken away. After that, WCW was dead.

AEW has lost two distribution deals, with VIX, which covers Mexico and Latin America, and with DANZ, which covers many countries in Europe. Apparently, this is due to low ratings and underperforming PPVs. Thoughts?

Tony Khan acts like this isn’t a problem, but when a major company loses its distributor and the European and Central American markets as a result, that is a major problem that needs to be addressed. AEW has some issues going on and these are not good when looking at the future of the company.

Kamille is All-Elite. Thoughts?

Kamille was the longest reigning NWA Women’s Champion of all time and adding her to the AEW roster will add depth and talent to a roster that truly needs the boost. I just hope that AEW and Tony can properly use her and allow her to help their company grow instead of the usual push for two months and then forgetting about her in catering. We’ll just have to see how it goes.

Both Julia Hart and Powerhouse Hobbs are out of action with possible long-term injuries. Thoughts?

This sucks, especially for Hobbs, who I feel has a strong future ahead of him. Best wishes to both for a speedy recovery.

What are your thoughts on Pat McAfee’s commentary style, and how he engages like a fan? Some criticize it, but I find it highly entertaining. He brings genuine enjoyment, unlike some commentators who seem to just be doing a job.

I like McAfee’s commentary. He’s raw, fresh, and a bit of a smart-ass which is refreshing after so many years of by-the-book color commentary. He does come across, as you say, like a fan who is living the dream and is legit happy to be there. His enthusiasm is addicting and adds to the product. McAfee is doing an excellent job.

Bret Hart versus Finn Balor. Who wins?

Balor is an amazing wrestler and one of the best in today’s WWE, but Bret was, as he liked to say, the best there is, was, and ever will be, at least according to Bret. Hart should win this one.

How do you feel about Montez Ford? He’s also an amazing athlete and not nearly mentioned enough. Do you think he’s ready for singles competition? I’ve thought he was for a while now. I’m waiting for a heel turn. Thoughts?

Ford is damn good and at this point, I think the tag team is holding him back more than anything else. He’s the Shawn Michaels of the Steet Profits, compared to Angelo Dawkins as the team’s Marty Jannetty. He’s good on the mic and has a ton of potential just waiting to be tapped into and used. A heel Ford, along with a heel version of wife Bianca Belair, would be amazing.

Gail Kim versus Asuka. Who wins?

Gail Kim is great, but Asuka is the Empress of Tomorrow and even better. Asuka wins.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any comments are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. I need to go get ready for a doctor’s appointment. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
